Low battery.Exactly the two words I didn’t to see right now. After I woke up and noticed my head was throbbing in pain me being skeptic I slowly tried to get up , and when I got up I checked my phone again noticed it was 2 o’clock in the morning and all I remembered was me and my friend Chris were riding our bikes and ally of the sudden a loud sound like a train and all of the sudden my vision went black and my body went static. As I got up from the ground and made my way up a knotty trail leading to the way out of the ditch where I layed .As I reached the end of the trail I came upon a horrific display the ground was drenched in fire and parts scattered everywhere , apparently from two trains colliding both being obliterated by the impact of the collision.Searching for my friends I scavenge through the rubble looking for any signs or trace of my friends but unfortunately …show more content…
I would be recognized in my hometown newspaper for the boy who showed great passion and saved his friend from certain death, from bleeding out to being eaten by a pack of
Humans are animals. Even as developed, personalized, and intelligent as we are, we share a deep connection with every living thing. However, many of the problems in the world result from the human belief that technology is more powerful and can replace the serene, perfect essence of nature. I believe that a connection with nature can heal wounds and help humans find balance in their lives.
My names Linn and i’m 24 years old, this morning my husband gave me some horrible and good news. The bad news is that our family is going on the Oregon trail and that means we're leaving Illinois, where I grew up my whole life and our family dog, but the good news he said about going on the Oregon trail is that when we get to our destination we're gonna have a lot more farm land. Today we're gonna try and find a wagon. We went to our friends house to see if the have a wagon we can use and it happens that the do it's a Prairie Schooner and they gave it to us for a lower price than what they wanted it for. We hooked our horse up to the wagon and we were on our way back home. When we got home, we automatically started to pack. My husband James, who is 25 years old
Ever heard of the Appalachian trail, it’s 2,000 miles of wildness stretched of all you see.
For as long as I could remember, a trail of blood always seemed to follow me. It starts when some punk kid picks on me, the next week or so, they die. Most blame me, the police accused me. No matter where I would go, the killings follow me. Nobody wanted a girl like me around, I wouldn't blame them. I wouldn't be around me anyway. At least at home, I wouldn't get bullied, no more killings.
A steep forty feet. When I recounted this to my friends, I may have exaggerated a bit when I used the term “cliff,” but the cuts and bruises on my arms and legs made me feel like Wile E Coyote when the Road Runner tricks him into running off the edge.
What makes a student a good student? Typically we may think about a book worm stuck away studying in the dark as the “A+” standard. However, is that really what it takes to prosper in education? I believe that being an educated and intelligent person goes beyond book work and requires oneself to be sociable, confident, accepting, and prepared to face challenges. Recently in my senior year I have learned more about myself, and looking at one event in particular, realized how my ability to break a racial divide has prepared me for life after high school.
It was a right of passage where I grew up. Beer cans littered the backroads and glistened in the moonlight. For miles around country music filled the honeysuckle perfumed air, boots hung out the passenger windows, and mud flung off the tires when we hit the highway burning rubber as far as the tires would let us. Those nights we spent on gravel roads making memories with long time friends are irreplaceable but it all changed in a split second on a beautiful, warm, and sunny morning. When my phone rang and his Moms voice came over the line and all I heard was "He's gone." Before the screaming started. It took me a while before I realized it was me screaming and I sat on the floor and waited for him to call. I thought if I waited long enough
My shorts and tee shirt did little to protect me from the chilly air of March. It seemed as though winter did not want to change into spring quite yet. Allison and I patiently waited in the never ending line for the log ride at Silver Dollar City. We had traveled a couple hours from Edmond, Oklahoma to Branson, Missouri for Spring Break. The log ride was something I talked Allison into doing, the possibility of rafting through the waters too enticing. As we slowly made our way to the beginning of the line, the ride instructor helped us into the log ride not before chastising the children before us not rock the ride. Slowly the log ride gained momentum down the watery track, after winds and turns we were nearing the top of the ride.
The unrelenting struggle to climb the summit of my darkened soul yields a somnambulatory existence. Reality’s crushing gravity renders me a lifeless zombie trapped in the circuitous game of functioning. How do I go on when my body reeks of failure and pain?
Later that day her husband could tell something had made Rosa upset, he loved her so much that he wanted nothing to happen to her. She explained everything that happened earlier that morning. Jordan then became furious at the witch for not letting Rosa take the berries. After Rosa finished the telling him the story he came up with a plan that would cheer up Rosa, that plan involved him sneaking into the garden that night. After dinner Rosa and Jordan went to bed, when he was sure she was asleep he left the house. It took him several hours to find the secret passage and when he found it he went down the trail without looking twice. When he arrived to the garden he located the berries that his beloved wife wanted. As he was about to take some
The last ride began with the team getting pumped for their last game against Youngker High School, the team bringing high spirits into this game and finally arrive at Younkers.
I was going for a run even though I was super out of shape. I saw Frank Porter running. At the orchard when he told me he wanted me to help him run I didn’t think that he actually wanted to. He saw me and stopped me. Then he asked if I wanted to run with him so I agreed. Then he asked about when I was at the orchard and asked me if I was alone; he asked where Sloane was. We were really close to his house and he wanted to race; I beat him. We went inside because he was going to give me a water but then we heard his parents fighting so I left. I was at work and this girl came running in and she looked very upset.; it turns out that her boyfriend was cheating on her with her best friend. The worst part was they all worked together at the
My hand runs along the fence. This fence is corrugated, but green. The paint a shade lighter, but the similarities invoke a subconscious brush of my arm.
Chase his mom, dad, and friend Billy were going on a hike. They were walking up and then chase said “i will beat all of you to the top” he started to sprint as fast as he could to the top and waited. Five minutes later there was a bunny going down a different trail and Chase started to run after it. Chase said “I will catch you” He ran all the way back to the bottom a whole different area he thought.
the road was completely straight. the road had been completely straight for what seemed like years. there were no buildings, no houses, no trees or lakes. the grey line kept leaking into the horizon with no other cars in sight. how long she had been driving, or how much farther she was going, she couldn’t remember. She knew at one point, but the memory had faded.
