The Army’s schools will educate the new recruits in their new skills, increase and maintain the skills of season career personnel, with the ultimate goal of achieving the mission. The US Army stated mission is “to fight and win our Nation’s wars by providing prompt, sustained land dominance across the full range of military operations and spectrum of conflict in support of combatant commanders (U.S. Army, Organization, n.d., para. 1)”. The U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) is the Army Command (ACOM) that is in charge of recruiting, training, and educating all Soldiers (officers, warrant officers, and enlisted). There are other ACOMs in which the Army relies to achieve their mission. However, for the purpose of this work, the author will only concentrate on TRADOC.
TRADOC, like any other military organization, has an organizational structure which it employs to fulfill the requirements received from the Army. The latest initiative created by TRADOC is the Army University (ArmyU) (The Army University, 2016). USASMA as well as other centers of excellence, colleges, and schools falls under the umbrella of ArmyU, which in turn is under the organizational structure of TRADOC. ArmyU concept of operations entails the reinvestment and transformation of institutional education programs, to grow Soldiers intellectual capacity, to yield agile, adaptive and innovative leaders, in order to improve performance and

As the Army transitions from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, the organization is well served to take a long look in the mirror. After ten plus years of deployments, our combat tested warriors are sure to possess more than enough valuable knowledge to reinforce and improve upon our status as a profession. A TRADOC published paper explains “to be a professional is to understand, embrace, and competently practice the expertise of the profession.” I believe the profession of arms exists and there are many components that reinforce this argument. Among these components, initial entry training and institutional learning, shared values, and a monopoly on our mission are three of the most important tenants. All Soldiers must graduate

The department’s leadership is responsible for providing appropriate manpower and resources to each mission using an increasingly tight budget, while also following strict laws for high priority missions, such as nuclear defense, which mandate both high levels of training and manpower (Air Education Training Command, 2015). Additionally, warfare technology has become incredibly advanced. Due to this complication, the educational and technical requirements for military service members and employees are steadily increasing.
The Army uses Army Regulation (AR) 380-5, Department of the Army Information Security Program, as the main information classification and procedure guide. Tactics include training on a continuous basis, ensuring that personnel records are up to date, and keeping guidelines such as a tactical standard operating procedure (TACSOP) and mission essential task list (METL) to follow. For example, the Army carries out a ground mission (Combat Arms) and is structured in such a way that each Brigade is self-sufficient.
The military only recently adopted Virtual Reality into their training schedule; notwithstanding it has fast become one of their primary training sources. Argument 1(Military):.It is being used in all of their services. Much like the teenagers, the soldiers are going on missions to learn how to operate with one another in different dangerous settings. Nevertheless to the gamers these kinds of simulators play a considerate role in the military's training. By doing everything from combat, shooting practice and airborne missions in these simulations, it saves and is reusable.

Beyond the Army’s formalized institutional system of training and development for every soldier and officer there exists a robust system designed to generate and provide for reoccurring sustainment training events and activities. This sustainment training takes on many forms most notably; classroom lectures complete with attention grapping PowerPoint based briefing slides and even imbedded video clips. And computer based, on-line, self-paced learning programs; many of which now feature interactive learning models. These contemporary formats are great improvements over the traditional classroom lecture once used by the Army. The topics formally addressed in these required annual classroom lectures, training
In todays army, soldiers are required to continuously learn and train in order to keep up with the demand of the ever changing battlefield. To properly conduct these training session, a training management process(TMP) is created to be a universal outline for leading and managing training and development. Examples of the TMP, is the Army Training Network (ATN) and the many doctrines found on Army Publishing Directorate(APD) site. In this essay, we will focus on the importance of three processes that are apart of the TMP; rehearsals, pre-execution checks, and After Action Reviews. We will also focus on the value of web-based training and doctrines, such as ATN and APD.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the MTCP (Mission Command Training Program). Unlike the traditional training program that focuses on the training units on ground, the MTCP uses the stimulation program to carry out the training operations. The decision criteria for the research focus on the benefits to be derived from the MTCP implementation. Analysis of the literatures reveals that the Department of Army derives more benefits than the costs incurred from the operations because the MTCP has been able to decline the annual costs of operations.
Virtual reality is slowly creeping its way into the lives of every day Americans. Whether it be training a new employee for a job, teaching students, or assisting in military applications, virtual reality is all around us now.
