Picture this scenario. A girl is on her phone on a Friday night. She's in high school and her friends just asked her last minute to go hang out with them. The only problem? It's ten at night and you have work early tomorrow plus an essay is due for Social Studies 12 in two days. Now picture this. A girl stays in on a Friday night. She's in high school and her essay for Social Studies 12 is due the following Monday at the start of class. Now it's your turn to decide. Which person are you?
High school is said to be either the worst or best time of your life. I suppose it's all how you make it out to be. Earlier this year I took a Psychology class in school. This class may have been the most influential class I've ever taken. Now in this class we learned about the human mind. More so why we do what we do. In the brain are little tiny transmitters called norepinephrine's. These are commonly called "The Happy Brain Chemical". These are important in monitoring what things we do and if they make us feel delightful or not. In high school this can either be a good or a bad thing. For me? It's been a good thing. To feel a lot of delight I mean.

The not so suprising part? Females make up way over half of this percentage. Why? According to NIMH these females are not socializing as much as they should be. Now I'm going to bring you back to my elementary years. Remember when the lady from the Health Department came in and showed you the mental health triangle? Well as I remember it the three sides were physical health, mental health, and emotional health. All three very important but mental health was the biggest triangle. My point is people need to go out and socialize. Recall my earlier paragraph? You need those little tiny happy things floating around inside your head to be mentally stable. Enough to perfectly balance your personal
Many people say that high school should be the best four years of your life. Most of us entered high school with this idea in mind, determined to enjoy every second of it. The confidence and energy that we held that first September allowed us to dive right into what has been an amazing four
High school is always considered some of the best years of life. Students live with their families, see their friends almost everyday, and participate in the activities they love with the people they love. It has enough freedom for the student to decide how hard they will try, but it also has just the right amount of restrictions that parents can step in to make the student work. High school also gives students many opportunities to succeed and keep letting them try again if they fail. For example, a math teacher may allow a student to retake two test throughout a semester, but if the student proves that they are trying in the class then the teacher may allow them to retake a few more tests. Also, schoolwork is not tedious or lengthy,
When people tell you that high school would be the best time of your life, you don’t really understand the magnitude of what they’re saying until your time is coming to an end. A lot of people say that you “find yourself” in college. I, however, had the advantage of finding myself in high school. These past six years have been awesome, and I really mean it. I know it might not seem believable for a high school student to enjoy school, but I’m not lying about this stuff. I felt this way even before there was a scholarship to apply for. My mom taught me from a young age to enjoy going to school, and as much stress as it might have caused me over the years, I still loved every second of it. It’s easy to focus on the undesirable parts like sleep
People say high school is some of the best years of life, but I know I will look back and disagree. For me, high school has been getting diagnosed with depression. High school has been losing friends. High school has been finding me.
In reality, high school is probably the worst and best years of your life. It’s kind of fun sometimes and others it’s really dreadful. It really just depends on the day! Some kids look like they are doing great and that they are the perfect popular high schooler, but they aren’t. Trust me. In high school, something is going on with everybody at all times. I think the movies need to figure this out because I was expecting a bit more, but oh well. What do I know, I’m only a
Now when I entered high school I thought it was going to be a breeze. I’d make new friends, learn new things, and embark on a new path in life that I never step foot on. Well, I was wrong! High school was horrible. The only thing that gave me joy was band, because I felt like I finally found somewhere I belonged.
There is many things that I like about high school. One is that you can drive to school, and drive from school. The second one is that youare almost done with school.Third is that I can play sports like baseball, football, and soccer.Baseball is my favorite sport the world. The fourth one is growing up.That is when you go on dates, promes, and pick what you wont to be in life. Then here is the fifth one is that you girlfreinds. You can take them on a date, buy them food, and take them home.Finilly you have more posbilities like more work, and make more freinds.
But when you're living on your own, paying rent, seeing your friends once or twice a week instead of 5,
I remember being an anxious eighth grader thinking about starting my freshman year of high school. We went from being at the top of the school to being at the bottom of a new one. All of our middle school teachers always told us about how our high school teachers wont “hold our hands” and how we will be on our own. Being in high school is completely different than being in elementary school and middle school. Its almost like each year we have more and more freedom but more responsibility.
Its the best of times, it’s the worst of times. Mainly its the best, when I first walked into this high school I knew it would be some of the best times of my life. Its weird to think about how fast it went by. We have less than a year until we are all off to college. Knowing that, it makes me enjoy my senior year a lot more. The friends you have now will all be different once you’re out of this town, you may not even see some of those people ever again. So make senior year the best it can possibly be with the people you like the most, because in a year itll be completely different from what it’s like now.
High school is going to be awesome, and maybe bad.I will be happy to be in high school, and I’ll also be dreading it.I have mixed emotions about why I am looking forward to,and what I’m dreading.
We were all working together to create something wonderful and it’s nice being around people who are a part of something bigger and are constantly making wonderful memories in high school. Spending that time and the time with my boyfriend really made me happy because not only had I not seen him in what felt like a million years, but around him and his family I’m not afraid to be me. I never have to worry about wearing a ton of makeup or acting a certain way around him; I can wear my sweatpants and tee shirt and have my hair looking like Beetlejuice and he would still accept me. Today as a whole was fun because I was around people who make me happy, no matter how bad things may seem for
People say high school is supposed to be one of the best times of your life; complete and utter garbage that was. I was so happy when I finally graduated last June. When they called my name there was no
(sound alarm) Don't you just love that sound. Ahhh the sound of school calling at 6 in the morning. When you start a new school or a new grade many emotions are most likely running through your head which stress' you out. But when you get to high school it's a whole new beginning and experience. The overall experience of high school is pretty neat if you asked me. The freedom is nice, although there is a lot of stress, the people in the hallway can be disturbing, and you make all new sorts of friends and enemy's.
When freshman first enter the school they are told to enjoy the next four years because it is the best time of your life and it flies by quick. At first I did not really agree with this statement in fact I was dreading the next four years but now that it is my senior year and I am close to graduating I could not agree more. High school is almost at an end for me which excites me but also makes me sad because these past four years have been the best worst years of my life.
