“Then you must take up your well-shaped oar and go on a journey until you come where there are men living who know nothing of the sea,” said Teiresias, a famous blind prophet. Odyssa had a long journey ahead of her. She always loved adventures, but didn’t know one so difficult was just around the corner. All of a sudden, she woke up in the land of Phaecia, whose ruler was King Alcinous. Odyssa was very scared because she wanted to go back home to her island. Then suddenly out of nowhere, shipbuilders and traders, called Phaeacians, appeared. Odyssa told them she was trying to find her way back home, so the Phaeacians were eager to help. The Phaeacians told her to follow the clear path of the sea and it would lead her straight to Olympus to speak to Zeus, the most powerful god, and help her go home. Odyssa followed the path of the sea just as the Phaeacians told her. As she was walking, she ran into someone. His name was Apollo, the god of poetry, music, prophecy, medicine, and archery. At first, he startled Odyssa, but he told her that he wanted to help her find her way back home, so Odyssa agreed to let him come along. At first, she didn't seem to trust Apollo because she never met a god before, but as time passed, she grew to like him. Athena told Odyssa that she was the daughter of Zeus and Odyssa couldn't believe it. Athena also told her that she is the goddess of wisdom and that she would help Odyssa arrive at her father’s palace. Athena made a new path that went straight to Olympus.
