ISIS, we all know the name. The very name that puts fear in americans just by hearing it. ISIS is a terrorist organization in the middle east. To be exact, they are the richest terrorist organization in the world. Getting most of their funds from imposing taxes on citizens of the towns they capture, abducting people and collecting ransoms, extortion rackets, intercepting aid meant for suffering Syrian and Iraqi people, and pillaging.ISIS is more of a “Horrible” not just because of these things, but because they are a type of hate group that will kill anyone who do not believe what they believe in. ISIS has done horrible acts of hatred towards christians by beheading them; Even Americans were beheaded: a journalist named James Foley and a british …show more content…
The citizens claim that the training was only to help aid insurgents fighting Syrian president Bashar al-Assad’s regime and that it was not for the current campaign in Iraq. We thought that by helping them out it would be better and everyone would be happy. Little did we know the true history of what happens behind the scene when the CIA is involved. The CIA got involved with the middle east extremists during the cold war era. The CIA also created Osama Bin Laden and poured money into his organization. The government and CIA is so corrupt and no one realizes that we created these monsters we call terrorists. Great America is now a corrupt America and the only thing we could do about it is take out the corrupt. ISIS is the definition of a hate group and they hate anyone who stands in their way. Thank you U.S government for being so thoughtful in creating the “Horrible” we know as ISIS. They wanted to spread their propaganda and destroy western people, christians, and jews. ISIS also attracts more people around the world to train them and then they send them back home to kill people in their community. That is one of the most heartbreaking things about ISIS; they make people kill in their own community and that is truly horrible. The world would just be better off without ISIS and Al Qaeda around. The U.S government thinks that it’s okay to kill millions of our own because there are way too many of us that can rise up against them and take them out for good. Just a better way to get rid of a corrupt government instead of them getting rid of

As of today, 6,845 Americans have died in Iraq and Afghanistan and over 900,000 Americans have been injured in both wars. (Goodman 1) Sending those troops over to these places to fight will just cause more damage. How much more lost lives does it take for the government to realize that the places they are sending these troops over to is not getting anywhere. The U.S just keeps going up a hill that never ends, instead of going up they are rolling down it. Digging a bigger hole for the U.S to get buried in. The great leaders in American history learned from the mistakes of the past. It is something we ought to remember when it comes to sending ground troops to remove the Islamic State group. Although ISIS needs to be defeated, the President should
The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, most commonly referred to as ISIS or ISIL , is a group formed as a political, religious and military leader over all Muslims around the world. While having one leader, the organization aims to unite all Muslims under a single person. While many followers of ISIS accept the single leader and the violent practices, others have opposing viewpoints. Despite the fact that Islam is an Arabic word which directly translates into the English word of peace, ISIS is being held responsible for many of the human rights violations as well as war crimes that take place in the middle east and around the rest of the world. The United Nations along with the European Union have officially claimed ISIS and the followers a terrorist group. With such a continuously growing hype of ISIS around the world, what effect does it have on the young seventeen year old Muslim girl who just wants to live a peaceful life?

As I'm getting older and the week goes by I'm realizing more that Sundays are the best days. This is the only day that I have the luxury to relax and spend time with my amazing son. I often like to take him to places that would not only be educational for the us both but enhances our bond as well. In the mist of going to school and working full time, spending time with him is compromised by life and day-to-day responsibilites. Despite this, I always ensure to instill in him that family comes first and sacrifices must always be made for the better. This particular Sunday we went to the Brooklyn Musuem. This one eye catching sculpture stopped us in our tracks. I knew that this work of art embodied the core of my being. It illustrated my love
During the round table discussion, I learned many things about what’s really going on with Isis and the possible results of this terrorism. Some things I absorbed from Isis consist of how they want to try and pick a fight with everyone around them and how they are trying to make the end of times occur. The roots of terrorism goes back centuries. Some professors stated that Isis is only trying to get America’s undivided attention by doing all of this unnecessary damage. Dr. Parker claimed that they have enticed the use of social media to inflict fear upon the American population, and those around them. President Obama claimed in a speech that Isis had been contained, and then they attacked Paris which brought complete surprise upon everyone

In 2011, the Obama administration pulled U.S. troops from the middle east and Iraq was presented as country ready to govern itself. The Iraqi Prime Minister, Maliki, came to the United States to declare all of this on television. A government official features on the documentary said Obama would regret this. While in the U.S. Maliki received a phone call from Iraq stating that his vice president’s guards were planning an assignation attempt, in response Maliki ordered his arrest. Vice President of Iraq, Hashemi denies all claims of this. However, he does claim that many of his
Their have been terrorists and terrorist organizations before, but, ISIS has been the most focused of terror groups in a long time. ISIS is one of the most dangerous terror organizations in the world, founded in the islamic state of Iraq. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi founded ISIS in 1999. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was a soldier in another terrorist group named Al Qaeda. In 2004 al-Zarqawi established al Qaeda in Iraq. Al Qaeda had a lot or armies focus on them for a while, but ever since, ISIS came in wreaking havoc, blowing up public and religious sites, decapitating victims, crucifying people and doing public executions. All the attention was taken off of Al Qaeda for a while. He was soon killed in an airstrike attack in 2006. The current leader of ISIS, Al
Al Qaeda started out with three members and grew over the years, becoming one of the most widely known terrorist organizations in the world. Al Qaeda was founded in 1988 by Abdullah Azzam, Ayman al-Zawahiri and Osama bin Laden, who later became the most wanted terrorist in America. Abdullah had a position as a lecturer at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, where he most likely met Bi Laden who was enrolled there as a student. As bin Laden’s teacher and mentor Azzam influenced and helped Bin Laden start the Al Qaeda organization in 1988. Ayman al-Zawahiri later joined to two and is currently the leader of Al Qaeda. . The organization started out in Pakistan and Afghanistan and later spread across five different continents. Over the years
ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) is a terrorist group that is trying to build a caliphate in Syria, as well as evoking war with the United States. ISIS first started as a branch off of Al- Qaeda; until February 2014, when they broke away from Al- Qaeda. According to K.T. They have managed to recruit thousands of citizens from around the world to join their cause. ISIS is a realistic threat to the U.S. and the world, and the US needs to stop them.
In this paper, I will analyze a film about ISIS and explain how all three theoretical perspectives: Structural functionalism, social conflict, and symbolic interactionism. “Zarqawi an associate collaborator of Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda lieutenants”. These words are part of Colin Powell’s speech presented at the Security Council. These words of a Secretary of State (2001-2005) have drawn a connection between al-Qaeda and Iraq. These words have really started the disaster (Kirk). Iraq declared its independence relatively recently on October 3, 1932 ("Iraq Government"). Because the system of government as well as its politics and politicians are still developing, the country still has so many unresolved social, economic, and political issues. “The Secret History of ISIS” is a documentary that demonstrates to which consequences these problems have led, lays out the timeline of how the ISIS was created, and depicts how the American government was not able to react according to the situation quick enough. Michael Kirk, creator of “The Secret History of ISIS”, reveals the great influence of mass media, implies the importance politics, and how individuals with authority can become a disaster.
