The Diary of Anne Frank is a diary written by Anne Frank. In her diary, Anne writes about her family and how they survive in The Holocost. Many people think that Anne’s diary is not a detailed enough story to be taught as Holocost literature. People also think the book leaves you hanging. I think, Anne’s diary should be taught as a complete holocost story because the book takes place in the holocost, the diary is based around Anne and her family surviving in the Holocost, and the book has an afterword section that tells what happens to the family after they are caught. Anne’s diary should be taught as holocost literature because the book takes place in the holocost. The Diary of Anne Frank is Anne’s diary which goes through her life in the holocost. From 1942-1945 the Franks and Van Danns lived in the secret annex for four years to avoid getting captured by the Germans. In 1945 when they were caught in hiding, they were all brought to death camps where Otto was the only of the 8 to survive. Although alot of the book is based on what is going on inside the annex like the fights between the familys, birthdays, and survival status, the war was always happening and this book would’nt be published if id did’nt take place in the …show more content…
After Anne’s diary ends the book concludes with a three page afterword section. The after word section explains how Anne and her family were caught. Since Anne died in one of the camps, there is no way that she could have kept writing while she was there. Because of the deaths, Anne’s father is most likley the person who wrote the afterword. The afterword is the section that Otto wrote so Anne’s death would’nt leave you hanging and you could know what happened to everyone else. Diary of Anne Frank is a book that does’nt leave you hanging and should be told as a complete holocost
Anne Frank’s diary is an answer to the call for diaries because it’s her whole life story while living in the “Secret Annexe.” In her diary, she tells everything that she had to go through, her problems, and all of her thoughts she had at the time. Her time in the “Secret Annexe” is unbelievable. She had to go through many horrible things and stressful worries. For example, the diary says, “ Cut off from the outside world, they faced hunger, boredom, the constant cruelties of living in confined quarters, and the ever-present threat of discovery and death.”
Well I think if Anne would of died the diary would not get published and it would not be famous like it is know. I feel like nothing would've happened if she lived with the journal. This was like good because it got published and people got too here the story of her life. Even know she ain't here u can still read her diary the is pretty indepth. I thought the book was pretty good. So I think she did live beyond her death because people all over the world red it and it makes you realize how good our life is now. I think anne had a pretty good life during the holocaust because at least she was with her family instead of like being in a different place without you family. If they would of survived the war oi think anne would of just kept the diary
People can only imagine the terrors that the Jews and other ethnic groups had to go through during the Holocaust in World War II. With Anne Frank’s diary, people can finally put themselves into the scene and captivate all the feelings and sentiments that Anne Frank has poured onto the pages. Anne Frank, her family, and their friends were known for hiding from the German Nazis in the Secret Annex for two years from 1942-1944. Innocent and naive,
In my opinion Mr.Godinez should not teach Anne frank for the upcoming 8th graders. I think Mr.Godinez shouldn't teach it because for me Anne frank was boring and I really didn't learn anything about the holocaust besides the Jews being killed. Anne Frank only talked about her drama with her family and the conditions they where living in, but almost never talked about what was going on outside of the annex. Also, I wanted to learn different point of views and stories not only Anne's thinking and her perspective of life. The only thing I remember about Anne frank and most likely what gives her diary attention is that she died at a very young age.
Have you ever read a diary about a German girl who was a victim of the Holocaust? Anne Frank is that girl who wrote that diary. Annelies Marie Frank came about the world on June 12, 1929. Her parents; Otto and Edith Frank. She had a sister named Margot, who had been deported to supposedly a labor camp. When Anne started to write in her diary(at the age of 13), she was stuck in this secret annex because of the war. Furthermore, Anne died at a very young age and did not have an adult life. At the age of 15, she died at the Bergen-Belsen camp. Finally, a big accomplishment Anne had, was that she wrote a diary that is now one of the most widely read diaries in the world. The diary is originally written in Dutch, but now it is translated into
In conclusion, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis brought a lot of damage to the Jewish and others. People were forced to hide in order to keep their lives. While they were hiding they could not do a single thing that would put them at risk of being found. “The Diary of Anne Frank” puts all of this into perspective. Anne kept a diary with her while experiencing the struggles of this war. Her diary helped people to feel what she was feeling during that time.
From her perspective, Anne Frank, a young girl, displays her fear of being discovered by writing down her experiences. Her diary gives insight on what it was like to be a Jew and in hiding, during the time when the Nazis sought to kill all Jews. Although written from a subjective point of view, the diary is considered reliable as it is a personal type of writing, thoughts the owner of the diary would not disclose to another. However, as the first edition of the diary was published after the death of Anne Frank on the 25th of June, 1947, and having it edited by her father, Otto Frank, it does not display an accurate representation of the two years Anne wrote in hiding as his father decided what would be published.
For others might think that the book is good because it shows how she didn't have anything what we had. For my opinion for that was it was 1942 when they didn't have much but it's 2017 we obviously have more than them to start with this story was really old. As others say why they want you to teach it was because they thought she going through the same as we were but not really. As Anne Frank talks about her personal body feelings, I'm pretty sure every girl goes through that and it's normal. Also another reason why they want u to teach is because they want them to get bored out of it so it's better if you teach it but just mention Anne Frank. As others also pick why you should teach us because they thought it was easy to get a grade trust me it's not really the Diary of Anne Frank wasn't interesting.
The Diary of Anne Frank, not being well recognized in the early 1950’s, has a lot to do with the fact that this great horrific tragedy was trying to be forgotten by most of the surrounding countries of Germany. A large part of the population just wanted to put this behind them and go on. Nobody wanted to go on reliving all that happened and did not want to be reminded of it either. Otto Frank, could only find small publishers to print for him, because it was not what the population wanted at that time. It was these small publishers, that would have some Jewish link to them, that he found would do it at all, and when he would have it published in different countries, he would tailor the content to make it more tolerable for the reader in that
The Diary of Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl story, reveals the hardships the Jewish community faced during World War II, through the perspective of a teenage, Jewish girl named Anne Frank. World War II was a horrible time in Europe, because of the persecution from Adolph Hitler and party-group called the ‘Nazis’ who threatened and mistreated Jewish lives. During this time, many were being sent to “working camps”, which were actually death camps; living in fear, many went into hiding. Before going into hiding with her family, Anne received a diary for her birthday, which was used to describe her life and the problems she and others faced during the war.
Anne Frank’s diary is more suitable for S.S. classrooms and should be used for historical education more than anything else. First of all, Anne Frank’s diary is the best way to introduce children and students to the holocaust and the tragedies behind it. In an essay called “Anne Frank, The Holocaust Victim: The Controversy about her diary in school education, and the Controversy about Her Image” Jessica Landfried states that, “If students are taught the holocaust through numbers and statistics, the holocaust will seem distant. It is through the personal stories that students will want to learn about the tragedies of the war.” This quote shows that Anne Frank’s diary combines personal stories and the Holocaust to make the topic seem more approachable
The Diary of Anne Frank is a remarkably moving book about the short life of a young girl and her family. The Holocaust was a horrible time for Jewish people and Anne and her Jewish family’s lives were completely turned upside down as a result. The war resulted in the deaths of countless people, mostly innocent people. Before the invasion on D-day and the end of the war not too long after, the rest of the world didn’t know the real disaster going on over seas. Anne Frank’s once secret diary has introduced the immense suffering and horror that occurred during the Holocaust.
Anne writes in a diary everyday about what happens during this dark time, and later it becomes published as The Diary of Anne Frank. Anne writes this not ever knowing how she will impact lives thru her writing and that's what makes this story. The things she goes thru day to day all went in her diary and it gives you a sense of what I was like living the life she did at her age. This help my thesis that a work of literature can provide factual accuracy, and give you more than you already

Sadly the Nazis found out about the Franks hiding and who they were staying with, Otto Frank was they only one who survived. Anne Frank knew that she would even be living a sad and scary life.
