The Diary of Anne Frank is a diary written by Anne Frank. In her diary, Anne writes about her family and how they survive in The Holocost. Many people think that Anne’s diary is not a detailed enough story to be taught as Holocost literature. People also think the book leaves you hanging. I think, Anne’s diary should be taught as a complete holocost story because the book takes place in the holocost, the diary is based around Anne and her family surviving in the Holocost, and the book has an afterword section that tells what happens to the family after they are caught. Anne’s diary should be taught as holocost literature because the book takes place in the holocost. The Diary of Anne Frank is Anne’s diary which goes through her life in the holocost. From 1942-1945 the Franks and Van Danns lived in the secret annex for four years to avoid getting captured by the Germans. In 1945 when they were caught in hiding, they were all brought to death camps where Otto was the only of the 8 to survive. Although alot of the book is based on what is going on inside the annex like the fights between the familys, birthdays, and survival status, the war was always happening and this book would’nt be published if id did’nt take place in the …show more content…

After Anne’s diary ends the book concludes with a three page afterword section. The after word section explains how Anne and her family were caught. Since Anne died in one of the camps, there is no way that she could have kept writing while she was there. Because of the deaths, Anne’s father is most likley the person who wrote the afterword. The afterword is the section that Otto wrote so Anne’s death would’nt leave you hanging and you could know what happened to everyone else. Diary of Anne Frank is a book that does’nt leave you hanging and should be told as a complete holocost
