Estrella Mercado Mr. Early Honors English October 27, 2016 Honoring Veterans Any man or woman who goes to war to serve for our country should always remain recognized for their sacrificial decisions to protect all the people of the United States. That is why Veteran’s Day is so important to the not only the troops’ family, but to everyone. Individually we recognize the hard work that they do, the daily sacrifices they make, and putting their life on the line for our freedom and justice. Veteran’s day is for current troops who are serving and for former troops as a consequence to renounce their great doings. All veterans should always continue to obtain recognition for when they served no matter when or where it was. If it weren’t for our
America gave my generation Freedom and the right to vote. My generation should respect the veterans more and we should be thankful for our freedom. My generation should respect the veterans more because the fought for the rights we have today we should be thankful, we should not take granit for it. Another thing is that they fought and they lost their brother and they fought on even though they were mourning on their loss. The last thing is why should you disrespect your veterans without them we would not have the rights we have today.
We honor our veterans because every day they put their lives on the line to protect our country; to preserve the freedom of this great land. Without question, without hesitation, these brave people come forth every day to help defend the 350 million people
What is Honor Flight? It is an amazing organization that honors World War II and Korean veterans. The veterans go to Washington D.C. to see their monuments for an entire day and some even go for multiple days. The veterans finally get to see the monuments that were built for them. The Korean War memorial, the World War II memorial, and the beginning of Honor Flight all have a great story.
Our nation past was, well, not always perfect. Without some of our veterans, our country wouldn’t be as free as it is. Veterans continue to make our country a free country, which also makes it a better place to live in. Veterans stood up for our country; whether the ones forced to go during the draft, or the ones who voluntarily go. Whether the cause, they were always ready to go and fight for the people’s freedom. We really do see how great these people are, I mean, they risked their life for ours to be
Honoring our Veterans is so important. They fought for us and some died fighting for peace. Veterans Day is also known as Remembrance Day, a day to remember those who died, but also celebrate those who fought on and lived through the battles. We should keep honoring our Veterans because war is not over. We still have people fighting for us right now. Veterans has been celebrated for so many years and in 1938, the day had so many ceremonies and parades that Congress marked it an official holiday.
Veterans sacrificed their lives for us. A lot of those soldiers never thought they would have to actually go out and hurt someone. Throughout the battle a lot of people were really bad hurt and a lot did not make it. A lot gave there arms, and legs for us. They didn’t run away they stood their ground and gave their lives for us. The ones that got hurt or had scars will be the ones you can tell that never ran. Those are the ones that mabey saw others run, but stayed with tears but keep going. For these reasons, we should always be respectful and be glad they did it for us.
It is important to remember how much of daily life is affected by the work of veterans. Walking on streets, going to school, eating at restaurants, and hanging out with friends all depend on the service of veterans. They may not receive the proper amount of recognition from the younger generations, but their work is appreciated. In actuality, they gained vital information that can be shared with the future generations. They have gained respect and honor for their duty for our
Honoring Veterans, West Delaware High School participated in an assembly on Nov.11 hosted in the Handson Auditorium. The event was arranged and prepared by teacher Jorden Pollock, with seniors Nicholas Juergens and Bergan Bloomers representing the student body.
Veterans are heroes in the eyes of many citizens of the United States. There are over 20 million veterans that have risked their lives at young ages to help give the nation a fear free life. They serve and protect the land for their children, spouses, parents, family, and neighbors. Yet they are not treated with the love and respect they truly deserve. The veterans took a devastating loss when the “House Appropriations Subcommittee marked up the 2016 Veterans Affairs funding bill, and slashed more than $1.4 billion from the presidents requested budget for America’s Veterans” ( ask mrs. Pyle 8). Today, the veterans are treated worse than prisoners who have committed murder or rape. While these criminals have a safe and warm place to stay,
Some ways we can honor are veterans are what i am writing about today. It is really important we honor them because they have been through a lot to protect us. When i say that i mean mentally and physically. If you watched the video then you would see that millions of people died. That was probably very hard to watch. And they have to go through a lot of training. So one thing you could do is make a card. If you know a vet or have a friend who knows one this would be something very nice to do.
VA St. Louis Health Care System makes changes to provide exceptional health care to vets

For putting your lives on the line to protect the freedoms that we enjoy and for dedicating your lives to our country. Every veteran deserves to be recognized for their
Veterans Day is celebrated for a purpose. To honor all those who have fought in the armed force, dead or alive to help protect this country. We should give our respect and honor
We celebrate veterans day every November 11 to honor our veterans who perished in battle or are still with us today. This day was chosen when the Armistice of 1918 is put in place to end the fighting of world war 1, the so called “war to end all wars.” Obviously this did not happen, for we have traveled wherever malicious intents existed to face the forces of oppression. Back then, and even now, Americans has always believed they were fighting honorably for something bigger than themselves. This mindset has motivated our veterans more than enough, enough to lay down their only life to persevere against the horrors of world war 2, the Cold War, and more, and the impact left a domino effect across the whole world. No country in the history of mankind has sacrificed more than the United States to free people from bondage. It’s simply admitting a fact about the
Veterans are courageous people they will do everything they can to keep our country safe and our freedom alive. If you have grandparents, a mom, or a dad that is in the Army, Coast Guard, Navy, Marines,or Air Force take the time to say thank you for your service. All veterans
