Ivan Weltzer Fitzwater has once said, “The future of the world is in my classroom today”. This statement is true because all people in the world today have learned what they know in a classroom. Yes, it can be tiring but teaching is also very rewarding. Teaching could also help people build relationships with others who have the same interests as them. This job is important to society because there would be no other jobs without someone teaching everyone how to do the job first. Teachers are needed for everything in society today. A middle school teacher is a teacher who gets a student transitioned from the elementary classes they might be used to, to their difficult classes in high school. Some middle school teachers also teach two major subjects instead of one like high school teachers or four like elementary school teachers. Teachers have many duties that they have to accomplish in the classroom. They have to prepare students for state required tests, evaluate students behaviors and learning abilities, lunch or detention duty, and individually work with students. Teachers also have duties they have to do after school such as creating lessons to teach the class, communicating with parents, and grading projects and tests (“Middle School Teachers”). Teachers also have some skills that are required to have to be a good teacher. Teachers have to be good with public speaking and being strict and somewhat controlling but nice at the same time. They also have to
Why is teaching an important profession to me? Life is about something, but what it is about for me it is the passing of knowledge that will make society move forward. Without the teacher, we would be in the dark, because, the light of someone teaching would not be. We would not advance as a society, on Medicare or agricultural advances.
As a future middle school teacher, I know I have much to learn. I have to learn how to effectively make engaging lesson plans that meet the academic standards of my content, I have to educate myself on how to efficiently and promptly determine all of my student’s different learning styles and motivation, and I have to learn how to professionally build classroom management and a safe classroom environment, while still developing a sincere relationship with my students. However, of all the things I still need to learn, there is just as much that I have already learned which has helped build and strengthen my beliefs on what I believe a middle school teacher is and my responsibility as such.
Teachers have the power to change the world and to make a difference in the student's life. Teacher is a facilitator of knowledge, motivator, advisor and a positive person that can improve the student's education. I decided to pursue the career of education because I have the desire to help others. I also have the ambition to provide encouragement and support to the people that need it. Becoming a teacher means more than sharing my knowledge to the students. It is a commitment with society to shape the performance and learning of future generations.
The attitude and characteristics of a middle school teacher greatly influence student learning, behaviour, confidence and sense of community. Middle school teachers should be aware of the physical, social, emotional and cognitive developments of middle year students. It is very important middle school teachers come prepared and design effective engaging lessons to impart knowledge to students. Teachers must develop vividness and interest of students using creative and innovative ways of learning strategies. They should also develop the capacity and flexibility to negotiate and plan the curriculum around students’ needs, interests, and learning styles. Effective teachers motivate students with a positive attitude
For me, teaching provides the opportunity to share my passion for education with my students. It has been said that teachers should not be allowed to develop relationships with their students, because it interferes with their learning. However, I believe it is the relationship between the teacher and the students that sets the groundwork for their learning. When students feel as though they have a purpose for being in the classroom, and that they have a teacher who cares for their well-being, it gives them the confidence and motivation they need to continue with their education.
Many students worry about how their middle school years will go. Middle school is a very important part of a student’s education. Middle school is their initiation into high school and could really impact their future. Many elementary school students think that they are prepared and can do well in middle school, but many are not ready. Also, students who do not do well in middle school tend to not do well in high school. One lesson I would like to teach elementary school students is how to survive middle school, which is important because it will lead them to a better future by being prepared, managing time, and knowing how to problem solve.
Ever since kindergarten, I've been a really great student. I went to Glider Elementary for kindergarten to sixth grade. At Glider I always achieved principal's list or Academic Excellence, which was an award for achieving a 3.8 Gpa or higher. As a student, I was never a big talker in class and always got my work done quick. For middle school, I wanted to transfer to Herman, but I ended up at Davis instead. In the beginning of the year I was really bitter about being enrolled at Davis, but by the second day of school I made a lot of new friends. Throughout seventh grade, the classes were very easy, and I achieved a 3.8 Gpa! Once eight grade year began, I had a bunch of friends already, and got enrolled in classes with really awesome teachers.
Middle school is very different from Elementary school. The students are beginning to change and the structure of things are very different. The students have about seven teachers that they see throughout the day. I think this is very important because each teacher, teaches differently, therefore, at least one of the seven are more likely to have a teaching style that the students like. Each teacher as their own teaching methods and a different subject that they teach. Through my field experience I was able to observe three different teacher that teach three different subjects.
A Middle School teacher is responsible for instruction on different subjects including science, english, and math while working with their students in a classroom setting. To become a Middle School Teacher, there are a few requirements one must accomplish first. The minimum entry level education is a bachelor's degree, however, some employers require a masters degree within a set amount of time for professional teachers. You must also maintain a state issued license or certificate. The most common path students choose is to get a bachelor's degree with a major in the subject they wish to teach, a minor in education, practice classroom experience, and finally obtain a state license. You must also have a certain number of credit hours in the
In my 24 years of experience employed with the Department of Education I have found that working with children watching as they grow is inspiring as much as it is rewarding. Teaching helps one to sharpen their skills on all levels for the curriculum is forever changing. Being an educator has its challenging moments but its something I want to accomplish. To be successful at educating others I must continue to grow, increase and improve within.
They give our students an education,if we did not have teachers, there would be no reality in jobs etc.Another reason is that they literally work a full time every day of the week and weekend job. They even have to take work home with them, such as grading students work and thinking of new plans to teach in the classroom. They also have to teach in all different ways because every student learns differently.
Children are with teachers the majority of the day. Children are influenced by what they see and why they are around. Not only are they teaching them academics, but also manners, sportsmanship, and self worth. These are important factors that children need in everyday life. This is why a teacher’s job is so important. Most would say that teaching would be a hard job. But, I feel that it will be easy if you win your students over. I know that the rewards in the end will out weigh the cost. Watching a student master a new task is the reward I am after.
Imagine making an impact on someone s life. Being the reason why a student never gave up of their dreams. Is amazing as it seems teachers are the sole reasons for the growth of the nation.
can help one in life. Moreover, as a teacher you become a “stepping stone” for all children that
Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Reflecting and analyzing over and over again the best way to teach to learn and how to make students to extend what has been learned. The many hours spend in the classroom will never be enough to plan lessons, prepare materials, review pupils tasks and exams, as well, all the administrative requirements one has to cover for whatever institution we work. Besides all this a good teacher, a professional one, will have to find the time to keep preparing to improve
