There are many reasons why I value so much to teach, because I want to be successful in life. I want to come out has a powerful woman, who want to help children with their homework or giving them an advice. Having my diploma as an education major is very special to me because make me feel I could be a motivational for children to become successful. Another reasons, having education help me to have a comfortable job as a teacher. I want my family to be proud of me. According to the textbook we develop value into cultures and societies that promote, teach what we learn to be (Walker 2013). I value education because societies and my family influence me to have education to have a better life. My parents always told me of having an education is the keys to live comfortable not breaking your bones. My teacher also influences me to become a teacher because it shows how caring they are to help others.

The most influential person in my life is my high school youth pastor at my church, Jeff Shicks. Jeff has always, and continues to be, there for me whenever I need him. He puts everyone else’s needs before his own, and is always willing to lend a hand. Jeff is definitely the most influential person in my life for three reasons, he offers valuable Christian advice rooted in scripture, he is selfless, and he provides me with a positive example of how a father should treat a daughter. He is the person I look up the most in this world.

Teaching has always been an occupation that amazed me. I believe it to be one of the most important jobs that anyone could ever embrace. A person choosing their career to be a teacher is essentially choosing to take on the role that is similar to DNA. When I think of people who have been influential to me, many people come to mind. My 7th grade Social Studies teacher taught me the value of appreciating culture and history. By serving long hours in community service, my dad taught me the value of volunteering and making a difference. By making me stay up long hours of the night, my mother taught me the importance of discipline and hard work. These were all people that have made a difference in my life, but not the most difference.

I decided to pursue teaching because I wanted a career that allowed me to change the world. A large portion of succeeding in that dream is changing the way the next generation addresses race, ethnicities, gender, and controversial differences that greatly divide many people today.

To begin with, my mother is a teacher, working in North China Electric Power University, so since young I have learned a lot about universities and I have seen many benefits of being a teacher. For instance an university teacher would have a more flexible schedule as well as summer vacations thus they can spend more time on their topic to do research, also with their children, bringing them to see the world. The person I am today is largely because of the wonderful teachers I had throughout my student years. They have not only given me academic knowledge but have also taught me important life lessons like discipline, hard work, responsibility and the drive to achieve anything I set my mind to. To be able to give back to the society by inspiring children and helping them achieve their dreams, just like my teachers helped me, is what drives me to pursue a career in teaching.

As a child, I had always contemplated the career I would choose when entering college. When I begin my first years of Elementary school, I knew I had a passion for sharing my knowledge with teachers as well as fellow classmates. I was always eager to do tasks for my teachers. I would voluntarily take papers to the office, make extra copies of assignments, or easy things, such as scolding students to stay on task. I was the student who asked the teacher for extra book assignments at the end of the school year to keep me learning throughout the summer. Teaching is a noble profession and it is a very appreciative job. Individuals are incapable of gaining knowledge without the help of teachers. I am a purposeful, bold future elementary teacher with strong aptitude for learning and passion for teaching young minds. Most careers today, involve going to school to earn a degree. Personally, I want to stay local when I undergo college. I plan to go to UTC for the full four years, and then gain my teaching license. Teaching has always captivated my attention, and surely all my schooling will contribute to my dream job.

The first reason I decided to become a teacher because I have always enjoyed interacting, inspiring and guiding young people. I remember as a kid I always used my little chalkboard and pretend to teach to my friends what I had learned in school. I am also very patient and love to learn new material and explain it to others. The second reason, my ESL teacher during my first high school year was a real inspiration to me; I admire her ability to guide students. The third reason, when I started working at an elementary school as a nurse assistant, whenever the nurse gave me lunch breaks I used to spend that time in the special education classroom helping the teacher with their students, she was an amazing and patient person

All career paths have ups and downs, and are important. Personally, I think teach is one of, if not, the most important career. For the simple fact of teachers are the foundation of every other career. I haven’t always wanted to be a teacher, I wanted to be a doctor, a lawyer, a dentist, a veterinarian, a flight attendant, anything but a teacher. But, God has taken my hand and dragged me down a path I didn’t know was for me and he showed me that this, teaching, was everything I could ever want and more. On my journey down this path I will have many things to look forward to and strive towards.

While teachers and educators impact the surfeit of knowledge we end up with in the future, they are very important individuals in the world and they have a significant job in which they spend more than enough time assisting other individuals with a topic or a common objective. There are various requirements and setbacks a person has to overcome in order to be qualified for the career. Teaching is often looked at as a job but it is also a way of life. Individuals go through years of schools and institutions to acquire the knowledge and skills they need. Many people assume that there is only one branch of teaching; however, there are countless educators and professions in the world we live in today.
