This house believes that every child should play a musical instrument
If you could go back in time, would you change anything about your childhood? Lots of adults today, in fact, regret not playing a musical instrument and wish they had. Currently, seven in ten children play musical instruments which is an impressive 69%. Music is a powerful, stunning, unique thing which encourages self-expression massively and changes many people's lives.
I know that the parents amongst you may be thinking that musical instruments just result in money being spent and wasted when the child decides it's too 'boring' and 'hard'. However, when you get pass that stage, it can be extremely beneficial. If you parents encourage your children to practice at the early stages of them playing, there is much more of a chance of them succeeding and progressing on the instrument. It is as much your input as well as theirs. If my mum hadn't nagged me to practice and focus when I started playing the oboe, I would have gone downhill rapidly and not be where I am now.
Music is the heart and soul of lots of people's lives and I really want it to be a part of all your lives too just like it is in mine. People think that music is just some scribbled notes on paper with lines on, but it is so much more than that; it is beautiful, fulfilling and moving. Above all, it suits everyone. The amount of music available in this country is truly unreal. There are so many different styles of music too; jazz,
Music can be used to describe how we feel on the inside when we ourselves can’t seem to find the words. Music has the power to help us discover ourselves or remember something we may have lost. I think Paulnack is right when he states that music can bring people together. Many people like the same genres and styles and feel something when they listen to it. Music can be found all over the world and can be related to everything around us. Music has been a part of our culture since the beginning of history, it’s constantly evolving giving each generation their on form of expression. Just by appreciating music as an art from we can make connections to those who are different from
Music has always and forever will be a strong part of culture. At some point of their life everybody wished they could sing and dance like Michael Jackson. But, that doesn't mean everyone wants to learn how to play an instrument, so all kids shouldn't have to learn how to play music. Every child has a different set of goals and aspirations. Some kids are more musically talented or gifted than others who just don't have enough time to focus on music, so students should be able to decide whether or not they want to play an instrument in school.
Billy Joel said, “I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music” (Music Quotes). Whether we realize it or not, music affects our lives greatly. The only thing for us to question is how. How does music impact your life and the lives of others? What does music do for us? People of all ages benefit emotionally, physically, and academically from music.
Music has been known throughout time. It can help us through everything. There are so many solutions with music to help a person go through so many situations. Music can affect many people in many different ways. Without music some people would be lost and would have no motivation. Music can provide inspiration and insight through education. Music has influence on suicides, killings and shootings, and provocative actions. It can also influence good morals, respect, allowing differences, health, and much more. Music can come in many forms and categories and music is very good for the world.
Music, it helps the world go ‘round. Whatever kind of music you like, how often you listen to it, it's all up to you. Most likely, you will enjoy many different genres. Often times, it helps you express yourself beyond speech. And like the French poet Victor Hugo said, “ music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that cannot remain silent.”
Ever since I was five years old I have had an interest in playing the guitar. For my sixth birthday my parents got me a small and cheap acoustic guitar. I carried that thing with me everywhere. I treasured it. Even though I did not know how to play, I pretended I did and my family had to suffer through the horrendous noise.
Music has always been a large part of my life. Since I was six years old, I would dream of being one of the players in an orchestra to my favorite movie. As I grew older, these dreams started to have a greater impact on me and began to shape the outcome of my life. In fourth grade, I began to play the recorder for my elementary school, and I immediately loved it. I loved playing it, and it helped that the teacher was fun too. But, even though I loved playing the recorder, I knew the instrument I really wanted to play, the flute.
I’m not going to say that am raise in a musician family, but most of my family how to play at least one instrument for example my dad plays piano and guitar, one of his brother lay drum and the other one play many instrument because he owns his own music studio. See those guy play an instrument motivate me to plat instrument because at the time the was learning those instrument I wasn’t easy for them but they didn’t give up because there parent force them to learn. After many years of learning those guy meet a lot of famous people , play in music band , and many other place. All
Although music education does help increase productivity and overall education in schools, the decline of music can benefit some people. Not everyone in the school likes music. In fact, some people can’t even tolerate the thought of music. Either they don’t find any interest in it or they just are not good at it. People lose interest in things after a while if they don’t
Think about instruments as a relief from paper and pencil, there are no tests, no qualifications and limitations. I think playing an instrument is an enjoyable, educational school activity. Students can learn how to read musical notes. When one can read music notes they will have the ability to play them on an instrument. Second, playing an instrument can easily expand one's knowledge because that person will advance into playing that particular instrument. Especially if a student is a beginning player then they can ask peers or research about their instrument. Last, students can show school spirit and passion by playing his or her instrument while marching. Not only that, but students can play his or her instrument loudly for
Music is defined differently for each individual. It is the universal language that speaks to us all, but in different ways. It is one of the few genres that can instantly transport a person back to the past. Music is also an art of sound which expresses ideas, thoughts, and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, and harmony. It is the design of giving structural form and rhythmic pattern to combinations of sounds produce instrumentally and vocally. To me, music brings a sense of calmness, happiness, and peacefulness. Music is the absolute bread of life because it feeds my soul.
Music; Indefinable by words alone. It is not only something you can hear but what you can feel. It is something your soul is able to reach out and touch. Music also has the power to bring us as humans, together. It is one language spoken by all cultures, sexes, races, age and religions. Music also controls our emotions; it makes us happy, sad, angry, relaxed, etc. We also can express ourselves through music. It can affect our personality.. someone who listens to classical, like Mozart or Bach, all the time is going to be smarter and more intellectual than someone who listens to rap or metal, and someone who listens to more upbeat happier music, like Ska or Swing, is more likely to
When people say "music saved my life," they are saying they found themselves once to be weak and eventually found strength through music. You can find yourself alone in the life you live but when you listen to music you realize you'll never be alone. I believe music gives people a sense of hope that they don't have to feel like they're the only one's going through things. Music can express more than words and it gives people a constant when their world seems to be chaotic. It's something some people need in their life and to be who they are and go on day by day.
Musical instruments have played many major roles in helping with the construction of many societies around the world today. Many people do not realize what musical instruments have been responsible for and how they have helped shape the world today. There have been many instruments that have helped create and sculpt the world, but one instrument that I want to inform readers about is the trumpet and where it came from, as well as how it has changed over many years. The point that I am arguing is the fact that many people do not know where the trumpet has come from and how it has affected society.
Music is arguably one of the world’s most important universal languages. Documentation of music can be found as early as Biblical days and can be heard all around. Think about all the places one is exposed to music: radio, TV, elevator, stores, restaurants etc. Every culture and country has its own style of music and the importance of music is paramount to individuals in many ways. Music is so powerful it can create a visceral response by lowering the heart rate and decreasing stress levels (Wright, 2017). Evidence has also shown music to activate areas of the brain that are engaged during “Other euphoria inducing stimuli such as food, sex, and drugs of abuse” (Wright, 2017, p. 3). Music, sound perception – the most powerful sense, can impact the way one feels and behaves (Wright, 2017). With evidence proving to have an impact on the brain both physically and emotionally, supporting a 5% tax increase to fund both curricular and extracurricular programs will enhance student’s development and provide to them a well-rounded education.
