When thinking back to Elementary as a little kid the first thing you remember is having recess, a time for kids to socialize get out energy and help burn off the fat they just ate in their meal, since recess is normally after lunch. So why not have recess in Middle school? When at recess kids tend to talk with their friends outside rather than inside the classroom. Most kids get in trouble at school for talking during class, but with the short bell schedule and little time at lunch kids will want to talk with friends therefor in the classroom. If a new kid is at the school kids will be tempted to talk with this person, but without recess the kids will never meet unless they talk in the hall and be late or in the classroom.

First of all, recess can allow students to relax and release energy. According to “Do You Need Recess?” by Mackenzie Carros, “...’Recess is the one break in the day to relax and have fun!’...” (pg. 31) When a student is relaxing or having fun, it helps them take a little break to run or even walk around. That can help teachers with students that have a lot of energy and disrupt class because they will lose some of that energy outside having fun. That is one reason why middle schools should have recess.
Having recess in schools gives students a chance to communicate with their peers. Time at recess with their peers
Have you ever heard a child complain to someone about something happening at school or about them being too tired to do something because of at school or from not getting enough sleep? Kids now hardly get sleep because of after school activities ending too late, from staying up late to do homework, etc. I believe that if we cut back recess just a little that kids will have more time to get their homework, or classwork finished so they don’t have to worry about it later on.
Recess is a period of time during the school day in which students take a break from learning and socialize with each other. The students get to do whatever they want, and they have fun with each other. A typical recess involves unstructured play which means that the students engage in their own activities without adults. Recess can also be structured which means that teachers set up mandatory activities for the students to play instead of letting them be free. There has recently been debate about whether or not recess should become structured or unstructured. Schools should agree with structured recess because the students can be able to interact within the same activity. It can also promote teamwork and teach the students how to help each other out.
Recess is very beneficial to a students learning. Jessica Lahey, author of “Students Who Lose Recess Are the Ones Who Need It Most”, says that research shows that recess is an important part of students’ academic, cognitive, physical, and mental wellness. Recess is
Remember in elementary when everyone would burst through the doors when the recess bell rang, those were the good ole days. Let's bring that back. There are so many benefits to having recess in middle school. Students should have recess in middle school because students spend too much time on the computer, and its is like a big brain break instead of many small ones.
Many students upon entering middle school are surprised to find that recess if no longer part of their day. Recess has positive benefits for students. I think kids from 1 -12th grade should have recess. A few examples are: exercise is great for students, kids need time to socialize with their friends and socially connect, and recess reduces stress.
The first reason why I think middle school students should have recess is some kids need a break from learning. First of all, kids get to mad and frustrated on one thing and need a break. Secondly, kids learn too much stuff and then they forget most of the stuff they learned.
Recess could help children have a happy and healthy
Hey!, Do you wonder what recess is for? Well, let me tell you, why we should have recess. Recess is a time were you can talk and yell and be free! It is also a break for the teachers to get out and bond with other teachers. Recess is an important part of a student’s day because it help kids learn better. I remember back in elementary school days when school life was a lot simpler. There were no dances, no college applications, no ACT, and a lot less stress. After a couple hours of repetitive and boring classwork, students at most elementary schools got to experience something called recess. Recess was basically just a gym class that was not for a grade. It was a time when you could make new friends, relax from a hard day; which were not commonplace in these times, or just have a friendly game of basketball. Six years and plenty of glorious recess moments later, it all comes to an abrupt halt. You walk into middle school and feel your heart sink upon realizing that the rumors were true; no more recess. Why do most schools end recess after elementary
Imagine sitting in class and the teacher is going on and on talking about some subject that you have lost interest in hours ago. Your brain is probably on overload and it needs a break well thats what recess is for. Recess helps to improve student focus, is a time to learn valuable social skills, and may even improve academic skills. Schools should include recess.
Do you remember those years of youth when you sat in your seat and waiting for the recess bell to ring? Remember the excitement you experienced just at the thought of recess? If you can't remember, then you should take the time to think about it and remember that feeling. Recess has many benefits to people. Recess and breaks can relieve people of stress, help develop social skills, and people can learn more efficiently.
We all love extended recess, finally because the class have more time with our friends or buddies. Most of the time after recess we are full of life, obviously means the class will keep on chatting, clearly that means if we have more time the class will get rid of that chattiness. When we came back inside we won't have that energy to talk however the class will still bright and bubbly and be able to work responsibly
