The Battle of Saratoga is said to be one of the most crucial turning points of the revolutionary war. In this battle American soldiers fought the british redcoats traveling to New York. The results of this battle led General Burgoyne to surrender and inspired the french to join the battle against the brits. In the end, the victory of this war won america it’s freedom. The first and most important result of this war, was that is inspired the French to join the americans. As soon as word of the victory at Saratoga got out, the world began to be convinced that british could be defeated. Before then, Britain was the dominating factor of Europe with one of the greatest armies in the world. With France now joining the battle, American colonist had an even greater chance of beating the British and winning freedom once and for all. This technological advancement played a huge part in the colonist success during the war. As well as this, the new rifle are part of the reason there is such advanced weaponry in the army today.
