INTRODUCTION
Animation generally refers to the process of setting inanimate objects in motion. It is broadly categorize into three forms namely 2D animation, 3D Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) and 3D Motion Capture.
The oldest and most basic form

6) Would research findings lead to some useful change in best practice? The findings of the research will change the level of quality of the 3D animation films production when the animator know about and how to use technology in their films making process.
We know that 3D animation films in Malaysia still backward other than country such as Korea, Japan and US. The animators need to know the importance of using high technology in their works so they can produce more high quality of animation films. If we didn't take any action, this problem will continue into the future. The animator need to understand and know the importance in using technology in producing their films. So that, we can compete with other country in animation sector. This problem affected all people in animation sector especially the animator and the producer itself. The animator plays main role in this situation whereby they are the player in this sector and they determine how the story line of their films. There have been a few research done before about this problem too and this study is more to extend the existing knowledge. The findings of the research will change the level of quality of the 3D animation films production when the animator know about and how to use technology in their films making process.

The main problem that animation faces is that it is an overtly fake diegetic form. The viewer is presented with a constructed reality of drawings and paintings, which may represent the real world, but unlike photographic film, does not look like it. The challenge therefore is to create characters that may believably inhabit their particular diegetic reality. Animators have strived to find a way to resolve this issue through their character design and an awareness of how to deliver narrative information through their characters. This essay will illustrate the solutions that animators have found to make their audiences believe what is put in front of them.
animation market” and to be in competition with American animators, and/or because, like American animators, overseas animators also enjoy exercising their creativity, talents, computer-animation skills and fascinating story-telling skills when it comes to animated movies and video games (Crosby). Also, another reason why the animation studios and companies are hiring overseas animators could possibly be the fact that “56.9% of animators [are] self-employed” (Collegefortn.org). By animators adapting to this effective solution, American self-employed animators, who want to begin their animation companies and studios, can come into collaboration with aspiring animators, employing teams of fellow animators. This would bring more jobs and opportunities to American animators. And lastly, the reason why overseas animators are hired by American animation studios and companies, is due to the fact that in the past decades animation studios have been sending unfinished animation work to overseas animators to complete. As said by Tom Crosby, in an article of “How Stuff Works” titled “How Outscoring Works”, “This isn’t a new trend. It started decades ago when Hollywood studios began sending pre-production work to lowered-priced, where the work was polished and completed.” Once the independent animators establish their own businesses and collaborate with their fellow aspiring animators, who embrace this effective solution, there wouldn’t be any unfinished artwork to send to overseas animators. Since all of the artwork would be completed on due time, by the animators of the companies, there would not be any uncompleted or discarded artwork to send to overseas animators. This would bring about a faster pace in the job growth rate of this
Many people have experienced Disney in one shape or another in their lifetime. Whether it was the movies or Disneyland, it did not fail to reach the hearts of its audience. While Disney’s target audience was young children, it also captivated the hearts of its older viewers. Countless individuals, however, do not realize all the technology and effort involved in making a mere ten minute short film, let alone a full length movie. Furthermore, they also do not know how far the technology for Disney productions has come. It is of no surprise that Walt Disney Studios is the role model for almost every motion-picture studio.
While experiments in creating moving images can be traced back to 180BCE it wasn’t until the late 1800’s that animation was truly realised through the advance of technology and creativity of the early pioneers such as J. Stuart Blackton and Emile Cohl. Driven by a desire to capture motion, many artists tried their hand at animation once the technology arrived, and up until the 1940s new and improved techniques for animation were being created every decade. Animation’s rise in popularity with the people and the advancement in techniques and technology culminated in a “golden era” in the US, where animation became a commercial and social triumph. Investigating this initial forty years of
Animation; an art form with the ability to tell a story and convey a multitude of emotions along with information. Animation can be found almost everywhere in media from commercials, to movies, to games. Every single animation need an animator or a team of animators to create it. There are many kinds of animation: 2D, 3D, motion graphics, visual effects. Each of these categories may have multiple people working on them using their own special skills to produce the final product. The reason for researching this occupation is because of my fascination and respect for the craft. I admire the art of storytelling immensely and the creativity that goes into it.
The history on technology is something that I did not know much about until I read “Technology in Context”. In my lifetime I have never knew how much work and technology it takes to produce movies, pictures, or any digital media. It all started in 1895 when the first Cinematograph was filmed. After reading the text I learned many things such as how long it really takes to edit pictures to get that full effect in a movie. Just to get a five minute morphing sequence in Terminator 2 it took special-effects company Industrial Light & Magic a year to create it (Technology in Context). The way that they were able to make animated characters look like normal human beings is through sophisticated animation and rendering techniques. It wasn’t until
Before any film can be finished, the animation has to go through a process called rendering. Rendering is a process that makes an image high-resolution, which is why 3D animation has become so much more popular today, as it appears to almost never age. “Radiosity and procedural textures, and with the development of the first generation of solid user\-friendly computer-human interfaces for three-dimensional computer animation and imaging software. The RenderMan shading language was released by Pixar in 1988.” (Kerlow, 10) Without RenderMan, animation would continue to evolve, but it would have been so much more difficult. Without RenderMan Pixar would never have become the great sister studio of Walt Disney Studios that it is today.
In a world where technology is rapidly developing and evolving, it is sometimes hard to keep up with the changes that are made. When looking back on changes that are made it is particularly interesting to look at the development of animation over history. Today when one thinks about animation it is impossible not to think of Disney and their major motion pictures. The Shreck films, Finding Nemo, and Happy Feet, to name just some of the dozens of animated films Disney has produced, raked in million upon millions of dollars at the box office, and have been hit films with people in all age groups.
The technological factors in the animation industry are not really favorable. Though there are several supportive technologies, there is constant rapid change, resulting in quickly obsolete technologies. Consequently, keeping up with the dynamism of animation technologies becomes difficult.
This modernization era, animations become a common thing to the modern people. There is a lot of animation in this era from television series, films, and even in music video and animation also comes with different types from 2D animation to 3D animation, stop-motion animation and also Computer Generated Imagery (CGI). Animations have been put to use in various purposes like commercial, teaching or learning. Almost everyone knows about this type of animation but there is difference between different country such as Eastern European animation and Western European animation. Even though both of them In the Europe region they are differences in their animation like style and technique.
The amount of animation data that can be produced within a given time is extremely large when compared to traditional animation techniques. This contributes to both cost effectiveness and meeting production
Animation has been part of the world for a very long time. Use of animation is becoming more popular each day. Animation can be used for different purpose such as advertisement and education but it’s mainly use for entertainment. Lot of short story and film has been created using animation. Most successful animation company usually comes from United State. For example Pixar which has produce some of the most box-office films which include WALL-E, Toy Story and Inside Out. Animation company from Japan also not left behind in producing high-quality animation and becoming more popular nowadays.
The global animation industry is growing very fast, as practitioners, we are all caught up in the excitement of producing our own animated creations to keep abreast of trends and take advantage of the “hype”. However, there is a tendency to blindly follow animation styles that are already well established in popular culture. Located in Southeast Asia, Malaysia is strategically situated between the East and West and sandwiched between the great civilizations of China and India; thus it has always been exposed to different cultural influences that have shaped its local culture. Therefore, cultural adaptability and hybridity
