To many historians, the British played the biggest factor in the war and without them, the Allied Powers would not have been victorious. The British declared war on September 1, 1939 and were somewhat considered the underdogs of the war due to the size and strength of the German forces. Although Germany was larger and maybe even stronger, the British stuck it out and with their key leaders, new weaponry, and their extremely brave and courageous army gave the Axis powers a very difficult time throughout the war. Many people believe that the reasoning behind Britain declaring war on Germany was because they though Germany attacked Britain first, but this is not the case. The reason Britain joined the war was because Germany attacked Britain 's closest ally, Poland. Poland and Britain had a treaty which said that if either country was being attacked, the other would help. Britain held their word and when Germany looked to expand their empire in Poland, almost immediately Britain was at Poland 's side and wasn 't
World War 2 was a notorious war fought between the Axis and Allied nations, during the period of 1939 to 1945. The Axis nations mainly included Germany, Japan and Italy, while the Allied nations were led by the United States of America (USA), the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and Britain (Source D). The war was kindled after a Nazi German invasion of Poland in 1939, which resulted in Britain and France declaring war on Germany. Churchill then created the Moscow Declaration which kept the US, UK, USSR, and China from allying themselves with Nazi Germany. Then in July, two Jewish escapees went to Churchill and explained the concentration camps to him and the true fighting back from Britain began (Bbc.co.uk, 2017 par. 4). British citizens were saviors during the war because they truly felt bad for the victims of the Holocaust and proved it with their well planned and effective attacks on the Axis powers. Although the British had their fair share of wins, after the war Britain was no longer seen as the great superpower it was and was replaced by the USA on the world radar.

This time of despair and mistreatment resulted in the death of millions of Jews, as well as homosexuals and people with disabilities. The rise of Adolf Hitler and Fascism was the main contributor in the fate that fell on millions of Jews. Hitler believed the Aryan race was the supreme race and all others were sub-standard and threatening to his country. The Holocaust is a widely debated topic. Researchers argue that the Allied Forces intervened in the conflict too late, which resulted in mishap for millions of people. The main two Allied forces in this case were the United States of America and Britain. Britain’s

Being dependent on Great Britain compromises the social, political and economic freedom of the American colonies. Without independence, the colonies will still be guided by the rules of the British and will not be free to do as they would wish. According to Paine, the most important points to note regarding the necessity of being independent of Britain are trade relations, injuries and other disadvantages brought about by the wars Britain is having or likely to have and political freedom. Being dependent on a particular country or continent would imply that one enjoys only the opportunities enjoyed by those they countries they depend on. There are many opportunities that the American colonies can enjoy even when

Hitler had much more conquering in mind and his plans for additional land acquisition was not known by the rest of the world. When Hitler signed a pact with Soviet leader Joseph Stalin in August 1939, Great Britain was immensely concerned. The pact with the Soviets placed Germany in a position where a war with Poland could be fought on a single front. The German attack on Poland was carried out in rapid fashion and included heavy air bombardments as well as armored land divisions.
So, Germany made a decision, as too much of the world had been claimed they must fight to gain countries, in order to build their much desired Empire. This lead to the war as it created rivalry between Britain and Germany, who were both powerful Empires in their own right.
