The purpose of this report is about analysing the effectives of leadership portrayed in the Iron Lady movie (2011) by using the framework for understanding leadership effectiveness. By using the movie at the foundation for understanding leadership, this report will clarify the 4 elements needed for an effective leader. The report will be divided in four main parts. The first part is introduction and summary of the movie. The second part is the body of the report presenting the analysis of the four elements in the framework model. The third part is conclusion and last part is a list of reference and bibliography.

The article published at Harvard Business School by Boris Groysberg and Deborah Bell details the traits, motivations and leadership style that Halstead exemplified. Through the analysis of this article I hope to not only document the achievements of Rebecca Halstead but also document and assimilate the leadership lessons imparted by her. An important observation I have made from the progress of time I this course is that study of leadership is synonymous with studying great leaders. The study of science involves experiments & making observations based on results. However, leadership is not an absolute science, there are various approaches. This era has become very competitive and in order for organizations to be successful they need leaders to establish and manage relationships and lead their subordinates accordingly in order to achieve the company’s mission and objectivity. According to the Pettinger (2007), the leadership can be explained in several situations. First, the leaders have the responsible to provide vision and direction to the followers. It also highlights the importance of finding opportunities to develop skills and creating strong to become a good leader. It is also emphasized the power of influence that comes from motivating your team, to improve performance and satisfaction and that setting a clear goal is mandatory for good leadership.
