Mastering the media effects on the people that are to be influenced is the key to successful communication of ideas and a successful political career.
The media are the founder of Trump presidency. I don't think Trump would have been elected to be our next president, if the media had never gave him the free coverage in the beginning; they planted a seed for Trump to grow in the general election, and I'm sicken by all of the media coverage he has gotten. The media seemed to have normalized Trump, and didn't do enough of good job to stop Trump, from being elected.
Trump was able to capture a massive amount of the population with his down to earth, “fake new” findings, and “Make American Great” campaign. On a July day in 2015, reality television star and real estate mogul Donald Trump announced his candidacy for President of the United States in the 2016 election. Following his announcement, the mainstream media openly mocked Trump, and some found great humor at the idea of his campaign, wondering how long it would take before he dropped out of his “doomed before-it-began campaign,” as many called it. By being openly dismissive of Trump’s campaign, the media did not remain non-partisan. Despite the media’s bias, Donald Trump is within single digit percentage points of being the next President of the United States, and no one in the media is laughing at him now. The media in the United States can influence many things, especially politics. Different forms of media all take different angles and at times will morph a story to fit their perceived narrative, and that is a problem.
The media has never had the extreme omnipresence it had during the most recent federal elections. For more and more people the media is becoming something habitual, and politicians were among the first to take advantage of this fact. Be it a parties usage of online social platforms, 24-hour news broadcasting stations, or circa the 1800s printed word, there is no doubt the typical citizen feels connected in some regards to this mass of media. With most third-party communication technologies surfacing within the recent decades, the general affect on citizens ' lives is not fully understood. This connection is immense and complex, but it can
After a very long campaign, Donald Trump is now the President Elect of The United States. In the early days of his campaign, a lot of people, including other candidates, thought of him as a total joke. However, to most people’s surprise, he somehow won the republican nomination, and then even more surprisingly, he won the general election. The question “How did he win?” is being asked by just about every American, currently. There is no simple answer to why or how he won. However, most likely he won because he had the three Ms, money, media, and momentum.

It can be used to learn more about the world and the people in it. In this regard it can be said that the media represent, interpret and endorse aspects of social experience (O’Shaughnessy and Stadler, 2005). The media are also implicated in social regulation, or in other terms, the government of society. The media are implicated in government and politics in an obvious way because modern systems of democracy are conducted through the media. But the media have a bigger role to play in government by structuring how society is controlled and maintained.
Media is known as the “king maker” for many reasons, such as shaping candidates in audience’s perspective. Television has been a big influence in shaping voters choice and labeling political parties, even though some believe media information can be scant in regards to candidates. Media can be anything from television to social media networks and how many people think that media is a great influence, some also think it can be a problem. “It only takes 140 characters to damage a political campaign” in which Smith is referring to social media as being a problem. (Smith, K. 2011. Pg. 9) At the state and local levels party affiliation remains the most important. “In television age, journalist became the chief influence in the selection of candidates
Here in America, we try to pay close attention to everything that goes on in the government. Whatever decision they make we want to know when, where, why, and how. This is because whatever decision that they make will determine what will happen with this country as a whole in the long run. So what is the best way to find out what’s going on with our government? Why the media of course. The media plays a major part in every aspect of the government including what happens in elections, the reporting of major military operations and how the American people will react to certain political situations or scandals. Here are some the ways that the media affects the way we think when it comes to the government.
Exploring Why the Mass Media May Exert Only a Limited Influence Over the Audience Media is the way in which large companies are able to diffuse their choice of information to the public via sources such as television, newspapers and radio stations.
