After a very long campaign, Donald Trump is now the President Elect of The United States. In the early days of his campaign, a lot of people, including other candidates, thought of him as a total joke. However, to most people’s surprise, he somehow won the republican nomination, and then even more surprisingly, he won the general election. The question “How did he win?” is being asked by just about every American, currently. There is no simple answer to why or how he won. However, most likely he won because he had the three Ms, money, media, and momentum.
For a long time, people have known that Hillary Clinton was going to for president in 2016, and most people though she would win the Democratic nomination. Hillary is a career Politian with views that are relatively in the middle of the spectrum, but she is a proven Democrat. When she started off her campaign, it started off well with her saying she wanted to bring American together, and it looked like she was easily going to win the Democratic Primary. However, after she had been campaigning for a while, a Vermont Senator named Bernie Sanders started catching her in the polls. His campaign was based on extremely liberal views. Some people thought he was totally crazy for things such as free college for all and a fifteen-dollar minimum wage, but a lot of people also fell in love with him for his views. In addition, he had an image of caring about the public which helped him.
On the Republican’s side, nobody had any idea
The democratic candidate Hilary Clinton announce her participation in the 2016 presidential campaign on April 15, 2015, via a YouTube video. Ever since she’s been appealing to her audience in ways that only she can. In the democratic party, her main opponent was Vermont senator, Bernie Sanders. She was able to overpass Bernie Sanders and is now head to head with Republican candidate, Donald Trump.
The 2016 presidential election had been a contentious one even before the primaries began. A divide within parties and between the public grew increasingly evident over the past year, ultimately leading to a candidate with no prior political experience beating out a candidate with forty-plus years on her resume. Scandals plagued both campaigns, however, polls and positive media coverage stayed firmly in Hillary Clinton’s favor throughout the duration of the election process with Donald Trump even claiming that the polls were “rigged” and the media was biased. While the veracity of these claims cannot be verified, today we know that the polls were wrong and the media that all but handed the election to Clinton were wrong as well. So how did Trump, someone many said would need a miracle to make it to the White House, beat all the odds and his seemingly strong opponent to become President? Though pundits are still struggling to understand it, the rise of Donald Trump shouldn’t have surprised anyone. For the pioneering German sociologist Max Weber, it would have been entirely predictable, a classic example of the politics of charisma.
One of the beauties of being in a democracy is being able to let the citizens decide who they want as their leader. Enter 2016, an election year for the United States America as politicians prepare for campaigns in hopes to be elected President. During an election candidates set up their platforms discussing the issues that matter, issues that America has plenty of. From immigration reform, to healthcare, to gun regulations, the United States has no shortage of problems that need to be addressed. Both Democrats and Republicans present solutions as to how such problems can be resolved. When the right person is picked for job, it is simply amazing what can be accomplished. President Barack Obama,
In today’s world, the most controversial politician in this era is the president of the U.S. How did Trump possibly get to the point where he was able to lead the republican party, even with overflowing controversy? Can anybody with immense wealth/fortune and/or credible political connections become the frontrunner of the presidential election? Regardless of one’s answer, after this presidential election the outlook on the set up and landscape of politics will change drastically. The accusations of assault, moral dishonesty, and racism towards Trump has brought more turmoil in the political world, feuds among the people, and rambunctious protests within communities than any other presidential election this century. Even though degrading controversy is associated with Trump, he was still able to use highly effective sarcastic and hyperbolic rhetoric, which translated to entertainment, to capture votes and overcome accusations of assault.
The 2016 primary election has been the most intriguing in modern history, mainly due to one candidate; Donald J. Trump. Before he won the general election, President-elect Donald J. Trump won the Republican primary. Since the day he announced his candidacy by riding down an escalator in Trump Tower, pundits and politicians didn’t seriously believe he had a chance. As the debates were held and the primaries went on, it became apparent that he had an actual chance of winning the nomination. The Republican primary showed that there was an anger toward traditional politicians, an anger which Donald Trump tapped into. The rise of Trump also showed that the old rules of what was acceptable to say do not apply any more. These and other factors lead me to the conclusion that the Republican party lost control of the 2016 primary election and failed to choose its eventual nominee.
Donald Trump, the 69-year-old New York real estate mogul and unrepentant bigot, is still dominating the Republican presidential primary polls. Trump’s sudden ascendance, accelerated by his willingness to insult virtually any ostensible ally within the conservative movement, has left GOP leaders dumbfounded. How did this caricature of a Republican politician, who has never held elected office, and whose personal ideology is remarkably fluid, usurp more experienced, more conservative, and better-funded candidates like Jeb Bush and Scott Walker? Within this vacuum of understanding, an almost-believable conspiracy theory has obtained currency: Donald Trump is in fact a false flag candidate whose actual mission is electing Hillary Clinton as President.
November 7, 2016. Many people remember this day as voting for the lesser of two evils in the 2016 presidential election. But, it didn’t matter who you voted for, the outcome of the election shocked the nation. Almost every poll predicted that Hillary Clinton would win the presidential election, but Trump proved them all wrong. After researching the analysis of the 2016 presidential election, some of the most compelling theories on why Trump won the election was the low election turnout, the desire for an outsider, and Trump’s simple message.
There has been various titles that Donald Trump held over the span of his life. Trump’s titles of celebrity, billionaire, innovator, constructor, reality star, and many other names, but the most surprising by far is Trump: The leader of the Republican Party for presidency. In June 2015, Donald Trump shocked the nation as he officially declared he was running for President of the United States. Trump’s announcement was initially viewed as a publicity stunt, but in July, the polls took an inconceivable turn as Trump climbed to the top of the Republican polls. Trump has never given up the lead since, and in the process, Trump amassed a cult following of disgruntled Americans who genuinely believe in Trump. He draws thousands of people into sold-out
Can Hillary Clinton win the Democratic nomination and become the next president of the United States of America? Hillary Clinton is an intelligent, qualified, strong woman that has been in public life for nearly forty years. Hillary Clinton has served as Secretary of State, Senator from New York, First Lady of the United States, First Lady of Arkansas, a practicing lawyer and law professor, activist, and as a volunteer. Some of the most important achievements she has accomplished during her life are: “First ever student commencement speaker at Wellesley College. Distinguished graduate of Yale Law School. GRAMMY Award Winner. Author.” (addictinginfo). While there is too much to say about Hillary Clinton and her achievements, this paper will focus on two main aspects: the possibilities she has to win the democratic presidential nomination and why she should be elected the next president of the United States of America over the other candidates.
After almost two years on the campaign trail, the United States of America has finally elected its new president, Donald Trump. No that is not a typo, this is real life. It was a hard fought battle between Hillary Clinton and the Donald which ultimately lead to one of the most shocking upsets in recent American politics. Being that the odds were heavily stacked against Trump as poll after poll predicted Clinton be the victor, it was to the astonishment of many that he reigned victorious during this 2016 presidential election cycle. Be it the will of the country (or in this case electoral college ) this poisonous cheeto will now be the 45th president of the United States. So how did this happen, what was it about Trump that pushed voter behavior in his favor in many key battleground states? Trumps victory lies in the hands of the silent majority who at this point were dying for change and saw it within the republican nominee. The biggest contributing factor to Trump’s win on November 8 was retrospective voting which a lot of voters clearly engaged in this election cycle.
Politics affect our everyday lives as citizens. The future of the United States is depending on one of the presidential candidates. Hillary Clinton is my choice for the next President.
The person that I think should be elected as the next President of the United States in 2017 is Hillary Clinton she is certified for the job as the President. Clinton already has experience being in the White House and also knows what is expected for her. Hillary Clinton is married to Bill Clinton; he was the 42nd President of the United States. During Bill’s presidency Hillary Clinton had accomplished some great accomplishments as First Lady. Before being known as the first lady Mrs. Clinton was Arkansas’s first lady for twelve years. As Arkansas’s first lady she was on the chair for the Arkansas Education Standards committee to improve their education system. She also worked as a director of Walmart where she was pushing for more women in management and to have a comprehensive environmental program.
When you hear the name Hillary Clinton the first thing that pops into your head, that she is a woman who is running for presidency and might even win this year in 2016.Which will make her the first woman president of the United States of America. Hillary is not only facing some obstacles with the Republican Party, but as well with the US government who are seeking an indictment to put Hillary behind bars. The US government says that Hillary broken some regulations, and by breaking those regulations she broke the law. This regulation’s where broken while she was serving her term as Secretary of State for the United States. Many people believe that Hillary Clinton should not be indicted by the government for mishandling confidential information by using a personal account; I believe Hillary Clinton broke protocol and breached safety measures by using a non-secure email server.
On June 16th, 2015 Donald Trump declared he was running for office. From that day, the mainstream media has never given the President a fair opportunity. Liberals and the left-leaning media groups find ways to bash and belittle his every action. Being mistreated, Trump’s many significant accomplishments, like the rise of the stock market, are picked apart to be diminished or not reported. Saying what is on his mind, Trump has gotten the support of many Republicans, who are also exhausted by the media and the corruption of their stories along with the corruption in the government.
Donald Trump was elected president of the United States of America on November 8th, 2016, and now has been running our country for over a year. As Trump’s first year in office slowly began, his reputation seems to be creating different outside views of our nation and arguments started producing everywhere. After competing with Hillary Clinton for the presidential term in office, Trump defeated her along with her democratic supporters causing one of the most shocking elections in U.S. history. Using public media web pages, we are reviewing both sides of the argument regarding Trump’s election and we are going to decipher why each arguer supports their side, and why each side is reasonable for the benefit of our country.
