T What can we define as Human Nature and Nurture? The Nature vs. Nurture has been a long never ending debate for some time now. Nature vs Nurture has been so profoundly debated, that now it’s unclear whether what makes us who we are and what we do, nature or nurture. For purposes of this essay Nature is going to be defined as characteristics we acquire through our genetic and biological factors, while that Nurture is going to be defined characteristics we acquire through our interactions and influences with the environment. There are endless ways of taking an approach to the Nature vs Nurture conflict, thus the reason that it’s truly unclear if its Nature or Nurture or even both what makes us who and what we are. Karl Marx in his Communist Manifesto takes a communism approach at the Nature vs Nurture conflict. Marx uses the class conflict between the bourgeoisie and proletarians in the beginning of the Communist Manifesto to explain whether its Nature vs Nurture that defines us. The class struggle between the bourgeoisie and proletarians as marx’s states is and has been throughout history a struggle of, “Free man and slave, patrician and plebeian, lord and serf, guild master and journeyman, in a word, oppressor and oppressed” (Marx 209). In other words, there always have to be those who are oppressed in order for there to be that one oppressor which gains from oppressing others.
