Ring! Ring! Ring! This is a constant chime everybody knows by heart the sound of a cell phone. It seems no matter where a person goes the constant ringing is always present. Cell phones today are a privilege but, also a problem. Fifty years ago no one had the privilege of pulling a phone out of there pocket or getting a message to someone in the blink of an eye. People today take advantage of the use of these elaborate devices. From keeping the phone on the desk during class to looking at it during an important meeting, everybody is distracted by them. Not to mention, cell phones keep people from the world around them and have destroyed communication. Cell phones have changed life for the worst, they are distracting and give people a lack of privacy, while also, harming the way people communicate. At work or at school cell phones are a constant presence in people's everyday lives. From the urge to check the phone when it vibrates to the struggle of wanting to look online cell phones are a constant distraction. Fifty years ago people never had access to looking on someone's facebook or reading that ever so important text message. People had to write letters or had to go up and talk to people. Not to mention, teachers or bosses never had to yell at students or employees for continually being on their cell phone. For example, teachers are now forced to make students put their cell phones in a different area of the classroom because they fear students will always be on them.
