Abstract
Arthritis is a medical condition that causes joint inflammation, stiffness, and resulting pain. This disease affects an estimated 40 million Americans, with a positive correlation towards old age. Opening medication bottles can be difficult for arthritis patients who struggle to open twist lids, snap lids, and click-locks. Janet Kramer is an arthritis patient that struggles to open her medicine bottles. This solution uses a sliding mechanism that requires no twisting motion and little force. The mechanism is operated by pulling on a rod, and pushing down. The downwards motion creates a class one lever that uses the shell of the bottle as a fulcrum. The effort force is magnified by a mechanical advantage to lift the cap. This solution will be designed according to design specifications and evaluated with the performance benchmarks. If the concept performs unsatisfactorily, the design process will reiterate until the problem is solved for the stakeholder.

Team Fortress 2 is a team-based first-person shooter multiplayer video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. In Team Fortress 2, players join one of two teams comprising nine mercenary character classes, battling in a variety of game modes including capture the flag and
Our vehicle contains a third class lever, meaning that the effort is located between the fulcrum and the resistance. In terms of a mousetrap car, the spring of the trap would act as the fulcrum and the hammer, in mousetrap terms, would act as the resistance. The arm we attached to the car was longer to provide less force, but more distance. Also with the longer arm more string was pulled off of the axle, causing the wheels to turn more times, allowing the car to cover more distance, reaching one of the objectives. The mechanical advantage of the car’s lever is less than one because force is decreased. The two CD’s and the two large wooden wheels and the two smaller wooden dowels acted as the wheels and axles, respectively. We used the lever to multiply force, whereas we used the wheel and axle to multiply distance. These concepts and elements of physics influenced us to build the best design we could.
For me, I like to define a team as a group of people who have a same goal that come together to reach that goal and make it a reality. Whether people know it or not they always live and share their life with others as a team. There are family members at their home, work colleagues at their workplace, and teammates in their sport team. There is a team in a relationship. It is something we all need to be
There once was a kid named Tommy and he came home from school, did his homework and then he played Fortnite. Then he heard a weird noise so he went to see what it was and he screamed because there was a goblin that was trying to trade him something and the trade and the goblin said “ If you give me a box of ice cream then I will let you play Fortnite forever.” Tommy being anxious he said yes right away but he didn’t ask what the catch was so he learned his lesson.
A team is something more than a collection of individuals. Teamwork is a group of people working together to achieve the same goal. The whole is more than a sum of the parts. A team can be identified by evidence of some or all of the following:
Halo: Reach is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie, published by Microsoft Game Studios, and released on September 14, 2010, for the Xbox 360 video game console. Players control Noble Six, a member of an elite supersoldier squad, when the human world known as Reach is attacked in the year 2552 by the alien Covenant. Developed after the 2007 release of Halo 3, the game is a prequel to the original Halo game trilogy. Reach 's music was composed by longtime Halo composers Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori, who aimed for a more somber sound to match the story. Reach was announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009 in Los Angeles. It grossed $200 million on its launch day, setting a new record for the franchise. The
One thing you wouldn’t know about me from my application is I go overboard. I tend to follow questions to their logical conclusion, then go beyond that to their absurd conclusion as illustrated by my devotion to Academic Bowl.
A team is a group of people working together in a related field to achieve an agreed goal, target or objective. In order to attain the overall goal activities and tasks are shared between the team members with give individuals their roles and responsibilities.
Teams are formed when individuals with a common taste, preference, liking, and attitude come and work together for a common goal. Teams play a very important role in organizations as well as our personal lives.
I wanted a solution. There are billions of people who have to bend down unwillingly. How come no one has invented something useful. I thought perhaps those sticks with claws, which cleaners
The essence of our project is to create an affordable and secure pill dispenser, in order to improve proper medication adherence. Statistics on medication adherence prove it is an extremely prevalent issue, yet is not addressed nearly enough. This is a very solvable problem - most people practice poor habits when taking medications simply because they are unorganized. While researching potential topics, we realized even the cheapest dispensers to regulate intake of medications costed well over $100, which is rather expensive for most people. This is why we decided to take it upon ourselves to build an affordable dispenser. We will most likely gravitate sales towards the elderly, and those with Alzheimers and dementia.
The PR2’s hardware platform and 1000+ software libraries enable you, as a member of the community, to focus on new capabilities. It combines the mobility to navigate human environments and the dexterity to grasp and manipulate objects in those environment, allows you to concentrate on your specific field, while taking advantage of the work of specialists in other areas. The common platform also lets you easily share your research results in a way that is reproducible. This robot is an open platform, which means you can change the system to meet your needs at any level. The PR2 is designed to be durable so that you can experiment with new ideas and applications here’s some examples: Backdrivable Arms(arms are backdrivable and current controlled so PR2 can manipulate in unstructured environments),Spring Counterbalance(PR2's arms have a passive spring counterbalance system so the arms float even when the power is off), Wrist(The wrist has two continuous degrees of freedom and lots of torque so PR2 can manipulate everyday objects from doors to frying pans),Gripper( grippers can grasp everything from towels to tea cups, and brooms to mops), Mobility(with a telescoping spine and an omnidirectional base that completed a marathon.Open interfaces let you use different grippers, forearms, whole arms or sensors),Power to Go(The 1.3 kWh battery so the system can
Teams are more than just groups of people assembled in the same area, they are a collection of individuals dedicated to a common purpose and with a series of detailed performance targets, working together with complementary skills. Teams of people are encountered in various scenarios, not just in the workplace, but also throughout life, such as sports, associations, charities and voluntary services.
The Rube Goldberg Machine our group, Newton & The Cradles, designed served only one purpose: pop a balloon. After we finished our machine included 12 steps and 6 different types of steps. The six different types of steps include: shooting, knocking, pulling, rolling, swinging, and falling. To accomplish this goal, multiple objects such as a toy car, a toothbrush, a marker cap, a Newton’s Cradle were used. In the end, the Rube Goldberg Machine we designed was successful in accomplishing the final task: popping a balloon.
A team player can be associated to any type of profession a person participates. The dictionary defines team players as a number of people associated together in work or activity. Team players are the type of people with a tremendous personality who contribute and motivate themselves in many areas. They include the military, sports, work, and families. However, there are a few things team players are not. Let us explore these aspects closer.
The five forces that drive industry competition, a model established by Michael Porter, are; threat of substitution, threat of new entrants, bargaining power of suppliers, bargaining power of buyers, and intensity of rivalry. The video game industry must deal with all five of these forces. The analysis of the strength of these five forces within the video game industry will help to draw a conclusion as to whether or not it is an attractive industry for Sony to be in.
