“The Holocaust was engineered by Hitler and his Nazi regime, 6 million Jews or around 78% of the total Jewish population (around 7.3 million) in Nazi-occupied Europe at that time and an additional 5 million non-Jewish people were killed” (M. F. Saad).
As Regina George’s friend, Gretchen, would say, that’s totally not fetch. Regina George is the queen of North Shore High School; while Adolf Hitler wanted to rule his own piece of land, otherwise known as the world. Both Regina and Adolf are leaders, and they both choose the power of fear. They both know what they want, and they will do whatever they must in order to obtain it. Adolf Hitler and Regina George are different because Adolf Hitler created the Holocaust, while Regina George created chaos with gossip and rumors; they are also similar as they both have a dictator mindset, are secretive, and have a selected group of followers.
Adolf Hitler was very powerful in his time, and he was able to gain that power through a lot of lucky circumstances for him and manipulation. As an adult male in Germany in the early 1900’s, he had more power than any woman had. He was able to rise to power after World War I left Germany in shambles needing a strong leader. Hitler was able to give great, long speeches that inspired the Germans. His ideologies were spread throughout the country, allowing his Nazi dictatorship empire to rise.
Regina George was able to rise to power simply by being herself and knowing how to work people. She knew that if she was nice to certain people, she could get what she wanted. Once she received whatever she desired or if they refused to comply, she could completely and utterly destroy them and their reputation by spreading rumors about them. She is popular and smart, basically the ruling queen of North Shore High School. Everyone lived under her rule, always trying to keep her happy rather than risk life as they know it. In her own way, she was a dictator herself. She ruled over everyone, their fear allowing her to keep her throne.
One of the largest secrets about his “kingdom” Hitler was able to keep was the horrible persecution he was committing against the Jews and other people he classified as gay or disabled. Many people in Germany and
Adolf Hitler was one of the most influential people in the interwar era. His actions during the interwar era caused World War II, which had enormous impacts on almost every country in the world. There are three reasons why he gained so much influence in Germany. First of all people were disappointed in the current German government and wanted a change. Secondly, Hitler and his Nazi party were similar in ideology to the majority of people and finally he was a great orator who used his similarity to the rest of the German people to help his party grow and to help himself become dictator.
As Janis is telling Cady about the different cliques at their school, she ponders "How do I begin to explain Regina George?" This is followed by comments and opinions by different students ': "Regina George is flawless" "She has two Fendi purses and a silver Lexus". The fact that the second comment made about her describes the products that she owns says a lot about our consumer culture and recognition of brands, and the way we look up to people. Mean Girls emphasises that Regina is "fabulous, but she 's evil" - despite her attractiveness and the respect she is given, her behaviour and personality leave much to be desired. Even though she is downright nasty and universally hated, people still want to be like
Regina George in the movie Mean Girls is similar to Caesar in the book Julius Caesar because they are both beloved and powerful. First, in the movie Mean Girls Regina George has lots of rules for Gretchen, Karen and Cady to make her look better. Gretchen tells Cady the rules and says “You can't wear a tank top two days in a row, and you can only wear your hair in a ponytail once a week.”…“Oh, and we only wear jeans or track pants on Fridays.”…“Now if you break any of these rules, you can't sit with us at lunch. I mean, not just you. Like, any of us.” In the book Julius Caesar Caesar is walking outside and says he wants to be surrounded by fat guys to make him look better. Caesar says “Let me have men about me that are fat, Sleek-headed men
Regina’s “flawless” appearance established her power among other girls. Among high school girls, power is stereotypically established through looks. As shown in Mean Girls, girls will look up the person they feel has the ideal appearance. The random comments said about Regina indicate that she is idolized by many of the girls attending North Shore High School. Other girls know everything about her, because they want to be just like her. This entrenches Regina’s position at the school.
Niccolò Machiavelli says “he who wishes to be obeyed must know how to command”. Regina has all the qualities of an Machiavelli leader. All Machiavellian leaders follow the same characteristic traits. They are duplicitous and cunning. Regina George hides her true intentions by deceptive actions, when she got Aaron Samuels to fall back in love with her. Adding herself in the Burn Book was extremely crafty. She allowed herself to appear as a victim in order for her masterpiece of regaining control was successful. Machiavellian leaders are narcissistic and believe the end result will justify their actions. Is Regina George a narcissist? She does only care about one person’s interest, and that person’s is Regina George. She knows that it important to be feared than loved as a leader. Regina does not bother kissing up to get her way. She uses manipulation and control to gain power. Regina George has numerous of the same characteristic traits of Machiavellian
Hitler took this hatred he possessed for the Jews and his pursues of Aryan supremacy to an extensive degree. Between 1939-1945 Hitler took action, extermination, or death camps were established for the sole purpose of killing men, women, and children. Jews were not the only victims of the Nazis during World War II, The Nazis also imprisoned and killed people who opposed their regime on grounds of their ideology; Roma (Gypsies); Germans who were mentally impaired or physically disabled; homosexuals; and captured Soviet soldiers. Heinous crimes inflicted upon the prisoners within the concentration camps and during Hitler’s reign were intense beyond belief. So called camp doctors would torture and inflict incredible suffering on Jewish children, Gypsy children and many others. Patients were put
In 1933, the Jewish population of Europe was about 9.5 million people. The number represented more than 60 percent of the world's Jewish population at that time, estimated at 15.3 million. So how could two out of every three European Jews be dead by the end of World War 2? The answer to this question lies in the hands of Adolph Hitler. Adolph Hitler has helped destroy the lives of millions of families around the world, but how was he able to take part in these mass killing of Jews all around Europe.
Hitler was seen as a savior to many Germans, hoping Germany would be saved from its severely depressed condition following World War I. Hitler used his power to create laws in order to exclude and dismiss Jews from everyday affairs. Hitler was an excellent writer and public speaker, further aiding in his success in persuading hopeless individuals to abide by his rule, while ultimately grasping complete power over the German people.
Never in my life have I ever seen a mom so nonchalant. She does not care about anything her daughter does and is just as fake as Regina (except she also has a horrible boob job). Her ultimate goal is to keep Regina happy and make sure that she is having fun. Grades mean nothing to her because she is all about being rich and maintaining a high status material wise. When seeing this movie, you will wish that you had her mom. If you want to drink, that’s fine with her. If you want to have sex, go ahead. She’ll offer you a condom and love that you’re happy. Despite how ridiculous this character appears to be, the actress, Amy Poehler, does a fantastic job at helping fulfill the purpose of showing stereotypes in the
Regina perfectly fits the stereotypical popular girl persona. She is an immodest, rich girl who has dominion over her family and friends: her mother waits on her like a servant, her friends seek her constant approval, she drives a fancy car, and lives in a huge mansion. In the movie, Gretchen, Regina’s close friend, believes Regina is mad at her for some unknown reason. She immediately takes action to impress Regina by complimenting her clothes. “It seems the more Regina hated her, the more Gretchen wanted to impress her” (Waters, Mean Girls). When students were asked to describe Regina, they all thought highly of her, even the ones she had hurt. One of the students Regina had punched the day before said that it was the “best thing that had ever happened to her” (Waters, Mean Girls).
When the Evil Queen, in full Enchanted-Forest-esque get up, whirls into her empty Sheriff's office, Emma tries not to blink. She hadn't felt easy about Regina destroying... Regina... And it didn't look like the heart-crushing stuck this time – if the Queen staring at her was any indication.
There are Numerous similarities between the characters manner of envy and having control in the movie Mean Girls and the story Julius Caesar. Regina and Caesar are very manipulating and have people all over them to be envy/jealous to gain more power for themselves. In the movie, Regina George, holds alike power over the school, like Caesar holds over Rome. Caesar and the senators have control/power over Rome, say what is decent in Rome, and what is not decent in Rome. Similar to Mean Girls when, Janis cuts holes in Regina’s shirt, and that action became a trend in the school.
Over the past few years, several deadly genocides have occurred. However, one of the most infamous genocides to occur was the Holocaust. The Holocaust was the “massive destruction of European Jewry during World War II, when millions were systematically persecuted and exterminated solely because of their social, cultural, ethnic, or religious characteristics” (Barel, Van Ijzendoorn, Sagi-Schwartz, Bakermans-Kranenburg). Contrary to popular belief, Jews were not the only group targeted in the Holocaust, as five million more lives were taken in groups other than the Jews. Three other groups targeted during his deadly event were the homosexuals, the mentally and physically disabled, and the ethnic minorities, whose death toll equaled 2,285,000, a combined total that clearly showed how determined the Nazis were in destroying their targeted victims in the Holocaust..
Adolf Hitler was one of the 20th century's most powerful dictators. He was responsible for World War II and the death of millions. Hitler saw a nation in despair and used this as an opportunity to gain political power. He saw a nation of unemployed and hungry citizens and promised them economic prosperity in return for absolute power. Someone once said "The Nazis rose to power on the empty stomachs of the German people".
Gaiman opens with a short background on how the Queen attained her royal status. Through her narration, we learn that she had been just an average village girl when the King swept through her town and took his “king’s right”. Quite early on Gaiman begins this analysis on the inequality that exists between men and women. The Queen never questions the King when he takes what he believes to be his, in this case the Queen’s innocence. Gaiman establishes the Queen as a relatable character because of her average beginnings. Because of this it will be much easier for the reader to sympathize for her alter in the story. The reader is naturally more inclined to
