“The Red Stone” We’ve all had our special trips, but this was really special. 10th grade had a 4 day field trip to a science lab. At first, Alec and his friends, Ashley and Blais, were extremely broed. The two hour bus ride was wreckless. Everyone on the bus was anxious to get to the lab. “how long do you think it will take?”, asked Ashley as she fiddled with her locket. “I have no clue just relax for a little while.”, replied blais with his feet propped on cthe seat infront of him. Once everyone had settled down the driver announced that they would be pulling over shortly. “finally! A break!”, shouted alec. All at once everyone rushed off the bus and watched the sun set. The three friends wondered off from the rest unnoticed. As they walked through the wilderness it started toget dark. …show more content…
“I agree.”, said alec. As they walked back they realized they had lost themselves in the middle of nowhere. Panicing Ashley plopped to the ground and began to cry. The boys rushed down to comfort her. “we’ll get home. I promise.”, whispered blais. They stayed the night under a tall red wood. The next morning, blais and alec woke upto the smell of something burning. It smelled like smoked salmon. Suddenly they jump up only to find Ashley cooking them some salmon over a fire. Alec stared at her in confusion. “I got the fish from a pond I found.”,spoke Ashley. After they all had a nice breakfast they journeyed off to find a road or highway. Searching for many hours. they found nothing. Frolicking through the woods, alec stumbled through a hole. While falling Ashely and blais could hear him screaming in terror. Nothing about me is set in stone, and if it were, it wouldn't make a difference. Stone can be ground to dust. I've tiptoed within the strict confines of a box I built around myself, after too many run-ins with harsh critics, for quite some time now. Committing almost fully to a "safe" portrayal of myself that doesn't leave room for risk and makes it hard to recover emotionally from error. Of all the labels I've been given, "hypocrite" seems to be the one I fear the most. I don't want to be weak. But, the only thing that's weak is not doing what I want, and what feels right. I'm not perfect and neither is anyone reading this. If I want to be a prude today and an exhibitionist tomorrow, things will be just fine. Perception is a tricky thing.
The men smelt heavily of english leather and whisky. Bob was asking for a fight but got more than he could have handled, he underestimated the boys and it was even knowing that he has killed someone. Now knowing that the police were chasing them they had to run for their

Hannah then slugged on her backpack and headed out the door. It seemed so silent as they walked the plains without hearing any cars. Mario said “look a mystery box!” just then he ran into it. It hit him in the stomach like a iron bull. “OW” he said as he collapsed to the floor with hatred. Something was really wrong but they knew they needed the car to use thought. “My poor car” Mario said as he stood up and stretched “it has to run into these”. Hannah shook her head and said “we must hurry the sun is setting”. They soon found a forest on the side of the road. They headed into it and laid down to rest not knowing they had gotten
After Jeannette wakes up in the middle of the night with her two sibilings, Lori and Brian, asleep and her parents out of the hotel room she is awoken by an intense heat. As she discovers there is a fire on the curtains blazing she is “stuck.” In a sense that she doesn’t have the energy to yell or move to warn Lori and Brian. She is then “rescued” by her father who comes in yelling, which awakes Lori and Brian, wraps a blanket around Jeannette and carries her outside of the hotel room as he rushes Lori and Brian out. As they go across the street to a bar Jeannette begins to reevaluate all of her experiences with fire.
“Oh I see where we took a wrong turn,” Kelley sighed with relief, “We have to take a right and then go straight all the way to that bridge.” They began walking, all relieved that they found a way out of the sticky situation that they were in. “I see our mom,” Will announced as they walked up towards their mom. Finally they reached Kelley and Will’s mom, “Why do you all look so nervous and sweaty?” Their mom questioned. All four of them laughed, “Just a bit nervous from the rides,” Makayla stuttered with an uneasy look on her face. Kelley and Will’s mom just looked at them and replied with, “Alright well it’s about 3 o’clock now, we have about four to five hours left before we need to leave so when it is 6:30 come and meet me back here and then we can leave.” Kelley nodded in agreement and laughed, “Yes ma'am.” Several hours passed by and it was now time for these four crazy teens to get going, “I’m so glad we found that map,” Kristin stated as her and Will walked out the exit gate. “Me too, I don’t know what we would of done without that map,” he whispered
Tradition is a time tested, known way of doing certain things, and even though modern technology promises a lot it doesn’t always deliver. This idea is present in the 6th world by Future States tv. In the 6th world, Redhouse, along with Dr. Smith are chosen to go to space, and start the first colony on mars. In order to produce food and oxygen, a hydroponic crop system was invented that leaves the corn with no husks or tassels. In space, the corn crop starts to fail, leaving Redhouse and Smith in a desperate situation. It isn’t until Redhouse opens the Navajo astronaut flag, that she finds two ears of Indian corn. She reseeds the failed crop and it thrives on mars. Because Indian corn is a traditional crop going back thousands of years, modern
I clocked my head to the right, “What’s wrong?” I ask. He pulls back a chair and sits down at the table with me.
I turned around and at that moment I realized I was lost. Field Trips are always exciting growing up because it's a day off of school until you get lost. I always looked forward to going on field trips growing up. To me it was an opportunity to miss class but also learn new exciting things. Every year in middle school, my school went to the Los Angeles County Fair in the beginning of September. Since it was the beginning of the school year, it was a fun time considering this is the most exciting field trip all year. There was this feeling about this field trip that it was going to be different.

They frantically looked for somewhere to hide and came upon a cavern. Then, they ran into the cavern without hesitation. They waited in the dark, cold cavern for what seemed like hours but was only a few minutes. Prue pushed the two girls forward, and they began to walk out of the cavern because it was dark and they needed to get back home. They got right outside the opening, and Jane felt a breath on her neck. Then, everything went black.
