The problem of Climate Change has been unsolvable in the last 30 years, but modern day scientists and researches have found various remedies to the problem that we humans have inflicted on earth: renewable energies. This paper will discuss the renewable energy technology innovation required to mitigate climate change. There are five main areas of renewable energy I discuss in this paper. In the first section discusses the potential for renewable energy technology. The second section outlines some of the main scenarios that illustrate future use of energy. The third section explores the economic potential of renewable energy. The last two sections compare the barriers to developing renewable energy technologies and the solutions to these barriers. When considering climate change, it is first important to understand climate science. Climate change, also known as global warming, is driven by the green house effect. In normal state, the Earth’s atmosphere system absorbs solar radiation and maintains global energy balance by re-radiating this energy to space as infrared or long wave radiation (Raval & Ramanathan, 1989). The difference, the energy trapped in the atmosphere, is referred to as the green house effect. That is where renewable energy comes in; The best part about it is that it is renewable so it will always be available to us, and we can acquire this energy through solar, water, and wind power. However renewable energy can pay for itself, is available nearly everywhere through various methods of obtaining it, provides numerous amount of jobs and economical benefits, and it will not harm our environment.

Well human activities contribute to climate by causing changes in earth's atmosphere in the amounts of greenhouse gases and cloudiness. Mostly it is burning fossil fuels. This releases carbon dioxide gas to the atmosphere. There are many ways that the humans can affect our environment. Deforestation, burning fossil fuels, and hydrocarbons are ways this can affect. In this paper i will explain how each one contributes to global warming. I will support my discussion with evidence and consequences of the effects of each activity. It will also have alternate energy and solutions included that are most sustainable in our area.

I will discuss different human activities that might affect climate change, things such as the burning of fossil fuels and how they might contribute to climate change. To begin I will discuss what the definition of climate change. Climate change is the change in the atmosphere by the amounts of carbon dioxide levels that come from using fossil fuels. Climate change can occur when the Earth’s atmosphere become warmer than what it naturally should be. Affects that can happen from climate change is extreme weather change which can cause flooding in areas that it has not flooded before as well as drought and glaciers to melt as well as cause the environment to change. When the new Southeast Polk High School opened they added many new energy saving products. This included installing geothermal heating under the high school cutting back on the cost of heating such a large building. Many new windows help save on energy used to light the building along with automatic lights that turn off after several minutes without movement. The new high school shows how easy it is to save money and help the environment. Renewable energy is good for all aspects of the U.S, providing jobs, economical growth, environmental cleanliness, and new research for improving energy efficiency. Therefore the United States should use renewable energy to benefit the economy and environment.
