But the surprise performance isn’t the first Springsteen sighting this month. He jumped on stage at a Brian Wilson show on July 1, and accompanied him on Barbara Ann and Surfin’ USA, accroding to Springsteen’s website.
In any neighbourhood, a sense of community is something that is quite often present. In fact, in Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller Rear Window, viewers witness a man progressively gaining a deep comprehension of his neighbours through his deeply-rooted voyeuristic desires to delve into their lives. In its entirety, the film demonstrates through its protagonist how this neighbourhood is too dispassionate and unconcerned to classify as a community. However, Hitchcock’s portrayal of how commonalities between individuals can assist in establishing new relationships, does suggest that on a minute scale, some individuals are more than just “people who live closely together”. Music, more often than not, is a form of art that intends to bring individuals
Dale Lilley, Matt Hopper, Arika Lilley, and Barry Eakin, Jr make up this four person band making their very own contribution to the world of rock.
If there is one thing about Kevin Morby’s latest LP, City Music, that immediately leaps out, it’s the sense of playfulness. The album is not light and fluffy by any means, but there is this unflappable feeling of spontaneity and glee that instantly hooks your attention. This is the fourth solo outing from the Babies’ frontman. Like his 2016 effort, Singing Saw, the album is a mixture of folk quiet intensity and some rollicking good rock music. While it never becomes a great disc, it is one of the more thoroughly and consistently pleasant and enjoyable releases of the year.
Arcade Fire’s Win Butler exemplifies the absence of community in sprawl when singing about The Woodlands, the infamously master-planned community he grew up in. In the song “Sprawl I (Flatlands),” he recalls trying to find “the house where [he] used to stay” amidst “towns they built to change,” evidently showing a lack of deeper connection to a childhood home. Because of sprawl’s absence of true community to associate with, both the house and the town are only transient—after all, our deepest connections to places are because of the people from those places and not the inanimate buildings. When a police officer, seeing Butler walking in the middle of night, asks him where he lives, Butler laments that he’s “been searching every corner of the earth” (Sprawl I). Clearly, sprawl’s community deficiency leaves Butler—and many others—feeling isolated and searching for a true home.

In Japan, each of their three albums proved more popular than the last, and the band built a huge following and by 1978, they had established a frenzied fan-base there. The band’s fame eventually reached the U.S., years after their initial success in Japan.
These concert goers enjoyed no rules, drug use, sex, and loud rock music. Some of the best known artists from this concert were; Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, Sly & the Family Stone, and Jefferson Airplane.
When he says, “Baby this town rips the bones from your back, it’s a death trap, it’s a suicide rap”, he personifies the town which helps the listener understand how bad the town really is.
Their first show in Manchester, yet their last show on the road in England before heading back to the US, Heyrocco welcomed the northern fans into their world of American-grunge last night down on Oldham Street. After supporting The Xcerts on their UK/Europe tour, the band returned to the UK to perform their own headline tour throughout various venues following the release of their album in June 2015, ‘Teenage Movie Soundtrack’.

What is a tree in my lands might be a metropolis in yours. It could be pillars of an ancient building, or the mast of a ship, perhaps; regardless of however it shows itself, or where you find yourself, it is your heart’s very foundation. And so, you will be overwhelmed.
