I. More than 43 million Americans reported being uninsured throughout 2002 and millions more lack coverage for shorter periods. The lack of insurance negatively affects not only the uninsured, but their families, the communities in which they live, and the country as a whole (The Institute of Medicine).
II. Today I will provide arguments showing you why the United States should provide a Universal Health Care for all of its citizens.
III. After conducting thorough research on this topic, I am here to share this information with you today.
Tie to the audience: Am sure that there is someone that you know that might need health care and cannot afford it or even you have found yourselves in this same place while in between jobs.

Today I’d like to talk to you first about, how the US has failed its obligation to provide for the welfare of millions of insured Americans, second, how your family, and kids can benefit from having a Universal Health Care system that is affordable, and finally, providing a Universal Health Care will not make the U.S. into a Socialist nation.
