The writing process consists of a series of actions that may seem tedious, but will help a person become a good writer. At first, the process may seem lengthy but once a person gets the hang of it, the process will help a person out for the rest of their life. Of course the start of the writing process begins with brainstorming a topic, which then leads to researching the topic, reading the references of the topic to highlight the important features, starting an outline and begin writing observations and of course ending with editing and submitting final copy. The writing process starts with a choosing a topic. Choosing a topic can be simple or easy depending on what you want the context of the paper to be about. Once I am beginning my writing process, I always start with pre-writing. This is usually the easiest step for me. I like to just sit down, in a quiet room and write out as much as I can about an idea to see what I can come up with. Usually from there I can find my topic, if not I just write some more. I usually do this a few times until I find ideas I want to write about. This helps me not over think too much in the
Everybody has their own methods for writing; however, I believe there is always room for improvement. Chapter 3 in Everyone’s an Author has shown me that writing involves processes that need to be mastered through constant practice. It also revealed helpful tips on how to develop writing processes that can help write effective papers.
The chapter also goes into explaining the writing process itself in greater detail. Writers are encouraged to first make sure they fully understand their assignment, before then moving onto throwing around ideas (such as by brainstorming, clustering, ect), developing a thesis statement, and scheduling
When you begin to write it is best to start with a process. Planning, drafting, and developing are very important steps when writing. Once someone had decided on a topic to write about they need to make sure they understand what audience they are writing for. Doing so will make it easier to get into the minds of the people who will be reading the paper. This helps with deciding how the paper should be written. The next step would be to write a rough draft. This will be the basis of the paper. I find that writing a rough draft helps me get the main points across before I begin to lose my train of thought. I also find that it's a lot easier to write a rough draft if I have a list of ideas already written down that I will want to discuss. After finishing the rough draft, revising is the last step. This is when you rewrite or revise paragraphs, sentences, main points, and even your thesis. When writing I tend to write down everything I am thinking of, then I go back and rearrange or edit if something doesn't
Writing a paper on the writing process is pretty hard. The writing process is different from one person to another. You come across questions like, 'What exactly is the writing process?'; and 'Must you follow one persons writing process if yours is different?'; This is where I came across the answer to my questions, write however you wish to write. If one person likes free write first and another person likes to write a draft first, let them do how they please.

Those that write always have a writing process whether they know it or not. A writing process can be defined by the way an individual gears up for the project at hand. It can be as simple as finding a favorite chair to write in or the act of planning out the writing beforehand. My own personal writing process varies from task to task with a few constants. I generally start my writing process by first reconciling my project; figuring out the best way to express the needs of the work. I do not write down notes or an outline in regards to the project mostly relying on winging it so as not to get hung up on sticking to the outline. I will my best to knock out large chunks of the project before taking any breaks unless I hit a wall, and
What’s the first thing you do before getting started on writing a text? Is it turn on music, get yourself alone in a room, turn on the TV? Whatever it is, everyone has their own writing process. Elizabeth Wardle and Doug Downs state, “…it would seem that if you want to become a more versatile, capable, powerful writer, you need to be pretty aware of which activities, behaviors, habits, and approaches lead to your strongest writing-and which don’t”(170). The writing process has a major effect on the effectiveness of the paper it’s got to do with what it takes you to get the best on paper. My writing process consists of all paperwork, which is related to the writing and music that’ll help me focus.
Finding your own writing process is crucial for a writer in order to write a successful paper. Everyone is unique and everyone’s writing process is going to be unique as well. A writer’s notebook is a perfect way for people to record random thoughts, dialogue you hear, and any other ideas you might hear. Brainstorming is a key technique to get started when composing a paper. Brainstorming allows you to think of different topics that would fulfill the requirements needed on your topic assigned. Freewriting, clustering, listing and outlining, and collaborating are also some other techniques that when practiced could come very useful when writing a paper. Having the ability to use either of these five techniques would help tremendously when composing a paper.
I always start my writing process by reading the directions. I read the directions three or four times to fully analyze what is required and what is being asked. For instance, in most assignments are not simply questions. There are usually more than one factor in the question. After understanding the directions, I start following the five steps of the writing process. First, I pre-write/ draft a outline to get my ideas into answering all the parts of the question and to establish. Next, I start writing to establish flow of my paper. Then, I submit it to paperrater.com to check for grammar, punctuation, and spell check. Then, I edit my paper from the suggestions paperrater.com suggested. Lastly, I submit my work for a grade.
My writing process starts when I am given an assignment. I’m not one to just write for fun, so this is usually the only way I can make myself write. Don’t let that fool you though, because once I start writing something and my ideas start flowing, it’s hard for me to stop. Personally, I love to be able to choose what I’m writing about. I don’t like getting assigned a topic, because that means everybody else has to write about the same topic and that ends up with everybody asking what I wrote in my paper and comparing it to theirs. I HATE when my writing gets compared to other peoples’, because we are all unique and different writers and we shouldn’t be so concerned about who stated certain facts better or got a higher grade.
When I think about writing, I feel intellectually ravenous toward the subject I am given. When I am tasked with a writing assignment I figure out how I feel about the subject and what ideas I could incorporate into my writing that pertains to the subject. I find it easier to write after knowing how I feel and doing research on the topic to gain a better understanding of what I'm supposed to be writing about. After studying the subject, I organize my paper and construct the layout of the paper to see how I want my paper to flow, and what emotions are to be portrayed in my writing. This part is very important to do because I am a horrible writer without knowing beforehand how I want everything to sound and flow. After the planning process, I

Attending Davidson Fine Arts High School, I was constantly tasked with the challenge of writing many papers such as literary analysis, rhetorical device analysis, and my least favorite poetry analysis. Each paper I wrote during high school felt the same as the last one simply because I never felt as though I pressured myself to progress or develop my writing process, since my papers were academically efficient. While writing in high school, I usually viewed a paper as a whole without trying to understand how I went from a blank screen to a 1000-word paper. In addition, a paper was never meant to question me as a writer or to display the most important thing I wanted to be shown about myself through my writing. However, upon entering English
