“30 Little Turtles” an article by Thomas L. Friedman. Is about the positive encounter Friedman experiences. In receiving a standing ovation “from a roomful of indian 20 year olds”(Friedman) by simply reading “ a paragraph”. During a proper canadian pronunciation teaching, in helping minimize and mask indian accents; In future call center operators. Friedman's article remains optimistic in its entirety. Americans are taught that the most important essential to achieving success is through hard work, but Jende, as an immigrant, never had the opportunity to be successful no matter how hard he worked. The novel “The Back of the Turtle” by Thomas King is relevant to Canada in both present day and history. Through the setting, characters and theme the story is portrayed in a way that makes it sound like a calamitous prediction for the future of Canada’s treasured natural world. Riddled with corporate greed and environmental disaster, the story follows those involved and affected by the catastrophe that destroyed Samaritan Bay. His lifelike characters are tangled with labyrinthine emotions that add another layer of complexity to the story. In my opinion, the novel “The Back of the Turtle” by Thomas King is a great novel because of the depth of storytelling that the author can achieve, and deserves to be recognised as a “Great Canadian Novel”.
Someone once said, “You can’t change people, either accept who they are or start living life without them.” This relates to the Westing Game by Ellen Raskin, because in the book, one of the main characters, Turtle, changed throughout the story. At the beginning of the story, she was rude, but at the end she was kind and trustworthy and this showed through her choices, actions, and dialogue. What I have learned is that change is possible if you try.
After reading The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin, Turtle is a dynamic character. At the beginning of the book, the character is neglected; eventually, the character becomes genuine and Kind Hearted. These character traits were observed through Turtle's actions, dialogue, relationships, choices, and problems. Turtle towards the middle and the end of the book is nice. This connects to my life because Turtle is very nice like my two little sisters.

American literature has evolved greatly from the Native Americans to 1870’s. American literature has changed, it teaches us how we have become more independent ourselves. The World on a Turtle’s Back, a myth, The Scarlet Letter, a book in a puritan setting, and A Rose for Emily is a southern gothic story. American literature would not be the same today without these forms of writing. The teachings from these are passed down generation to generation.

Roberts claims that the different parts of a person’s identity, such as their work roles, background, hobbies, etc., are integrated in enriching ways. Immigrants in Canada can attest to this. Canada is a diverse country with a lot of immigrants coming in from different countries with different background and culture. Despite of this, immigrants contribute to the workforce in Canada and they can apply what they know, even though they are from different countries, to their work. The shortage of skilled workers in Canada is filled in by immigrants and their different opinions and views help business people make important decisions. The different characteristics and own experiences of people can help shape the work they do and having
He is able to do this by bringing along the audience into a sense of emotions with a true story regarding a worker who is an illegal immigrant. This allowed the audience to feel connected to the illegal worker. Nadadur introduces the undocumented worker by providing a background of the worker’s past hometown. Nadadur believes that the reader is more likely to be persuaded by the argument in the article when their emotions are intensified. The authors take advantage of pathos to illustrate the issue of illegal immigrants as a positive factor to the U.S. economy. The anecdote of the Illegal immigrant worker allows a likeness between the audience and the
In the article,”Bring on More Immigrants Entrepreneurs,” Shayan Zaden views America as a land of opportunity but lost potential.
Worldbank (n.d.) states, “Everything that grows also changes its structure. Just as a growing tree constantly changes the shape, size, and configuration of its branches, a growing economy changes the proportions and interrelations among its basic sectors- agriculture. Industry, and services and between other sectors-rural and urban, public and private, domestic- and export-orientated (para. 1) Hodson & Sullivan present that (2008) “A post-industrial society is based on services. Hence, it is a game between persons. What counts is not raw muscle power, or energy, but information” (Bell, 1976, p. 127). The essay will explain the work in modern America, including the positive and negative aspects of the service and knowledged-based economy and Americas place in the global economy. Discuss the interconnectedness of immigration, globalization, democracy, and corporate power, and how the changes in the workplace, and increasing service orientation of the economy has affected my life.

Mr. Fisher, President of Central Steel Door, made many mistakes in his efforts to hire a sales manager in Europe. First, advertising in the International Herald Tribune is only going to attract Americans who lack the intelligence and in-country expertise the company needs to successfully compete in unfamiliar markets. Second, he fails to make the most of these candidates that these ads generate by asking them for referrals and offering an incentive. He fails to use the limited success of the ads to successfully network into the international community. Third, the lack of sensitivity ot living costs in Belgium and Germany for sales manager led to them quickly resigning. Fourth, Mr. Fisher didn't coordinate with the Belgian government to ensure employment taxes were paid on time, leading to a bill for back taxes of thousands of dollars. Fifth, the hiring of ten local people to staff distribution centers and the firing of five of them not only had to be communicated months in advance to local government authorities, Central Steel Door is legally obligated to pay them for a full year of their salaries based on German law.
