Three Stages of Thunderstorm Formation
The kind of thunderstorms that produce our summer rains are called ordinary thunderstorms, or air mass thunderstorms. They form when warm, humid air rises in an unstable atmosphere. Warm air cools down as it rises, and once it becomes colder than the air around it, it will begin to fall back down. In an unstable atmosphere, the temperature of the surrounding air decreases faster with height than the temperature of the rising warm air. This causes the warm, moist air to continually be warmer than the atmosphere, and continue rising to large heights. When this happens, we have the basis for a thunderstorm. As the water vapor in the air condenses into water droplets and ice crystals, it releases a lot of heat. This heat keeps the air inside the cloud warmer than the air outside it, allowing for even further vertical growth.
As the cloud gets very tall, the water molecules in it become larger and heavier. Eventually they get too heavy to be pushed up by the rising warm air anymore, and begin the fall back down. Some of the cold, dry air in the atmosphere may also be drawn into the cloud, in a process called entrainment. Since cold air is heavier than warm air, this air begins to descend in the cloud as a downdraft, pulling the heavy water molecules with it, creating rain. Once the downdraft forms, the cloud become as cumulonimbus, and we enter into the second stage of a thunderstorm, the mature stage. The presence of the updraft and downdraft mark a cell of the thunderstorm. Most thunderstorms have more than one cell in them. During the mature stage there is rain, thunder and lightning. Also, during the mature stage the cumulonimbus cloud gets so high that it reaches the stratosphere. Strong winds in the stratosphere blow horizontally on the top of the cloud, producing the characteristic anvil.

While the warm air is rising there is cold dry air that is causing a downdraft causing the heavy water droplets to fall. They are known as convective storms. Cell thunderstorms form in regions where limited vertical wind shear is present. The winds direction or speeds do not abruptly change rapidly. Ordinary storms develop and mature through a cycle, as cell thunderstorms don’t have this development. Different conditions vary from warm air rising, random turbulent eddies and terrain. These are a few that can be a trigger to these more impactful storms.
Clouds to form in the atmosphere have to have water vapor present. This water vapor makes up a cloud. The water vapor in the atmosphere comes from evaporation or deposition. Also the temperature of the air is below the dew point. When the water is fully saturated, it starts to rise and the expansional cooling process begins. During the process of condensation, the aerosol particles act like a nuclei in the atmosphere, which began to grow, creating ice crystals that are big enough to produce a cloud.

A tornadoes form when it is humid but the ground is wet and slower winds are by the ground as the fastest wind are higher in the sky. Because of this the wind starts to circle around when the slow wind moves up higher. Rain will fall and so will a funnel which is the tornado. The reason twister in Florida left extreme damage and many houses were being fixed or covered with tarp. Today they are cleaning up the damage or debris all over town. Other places tornadoes have touched down resonantly are Virginia and North Carolina the worst one was the one in Carolina taking three lives. Condensation As the evaporated water vapor gets colder rising into the atmosphere, it changes back into different levels of liquid clouds of different types.

When I was reading Ona cloud rider I noticed that in one of the scenes they were good clouds and they were bad clouds, both sides different. So I went researching if they were different kinds of clouds. Yes they were different clouds, you can call them rain clouds or you can be more specific and call them high low or medium clouds. The groups are based on the height of the clouds kind of like some MLG tournaments how they referred some of their teams as A, D depending on what position they are in. A tornado is a very complex and complicated type of outdoor vacuum. The various types of tornadoes are caused when a great size of particles become part of cloud and start releasing heat rapidly which makes it rise and create a vacuum underneath it. The air that quickly goes into the vacuum creates the center of the tornado or the tornadoes vortex. Then when the air temperature changes it causes a sudden drop in the air pressure.
