The value of Time Management comes in many ways we can imagine. Time Management is a tool in we utilize everyday to meet our needs. In my Time Management worksheet it shows that most of my time is utilize in the civilian workforce but on the days that I am off I utilize my time to study and complete my schoolwork and hangout with family and friends.
In the V-Camp read section which Cindy Chambers talks about Time Management one of her tips that I like is, to start on an outline use a scratch sheet of paper, Microsoft Word and a google document to give you the idea on the essay you want to write (Chambers, 2015). Another tip you can use is to find a quiet place to complete your school work and study so that your mind can be at ease. I read
My main discovery from examining the Time Monitoring Worksheet was that over the three days, I had a large amount of free time. Each day I found that I had about seven hours of free time during each day, although since that was during time off from work the actual number is closer to around three.
Time management techniques are essential to living your life more efficiently. Many people spend their days in a frenzy of activity but achieve very little because they are not concentrating on the right things. By using time management skills, you can learn to determine which of the things you do are important, which can be dropped, use your time in the most effective way possible, break down the roadblocks that waste it, and increase the effectiveness.
Time Management is essential because one must manage their time and employees time while meeting deadlines.
What is time management? According to Laura Stack, time management is traditionally considered a management strictness, but you cannot perform an improved job at it by extending how much time you have.
Time management is big because you can be lazy and not take time to do work or you could take every moment to accomplish things you need to do throughout the day.2 An example would be playing video games when you should actually be writing a paper or doing other important work. This can make or break someone who is going off to college.
Good time management is essential to handle a heavy workload without excessive stress. For a manager, time management helps reduce long-term stress by giving the manager direction when he or she has too much work to do. The manager will then, have the control of how tasks will be completed at work. In addition, having control allows managers to increase their productivity.

There are many different methods as to managing time. In Week 2, I explain many of those as well as methods that I have used. Over the past five weeks, I have used the method of updating my planner as the days go by. I am constantly checking my planner to see what assignment are coming up and when they are due. When I see that an assignment is due on a certain day, I always find time to sit down and work on the assignment days before its scheduled due date.
Completing the time management worksheet was interesting and somewhat discouraging. I was amazed to see that I have my days literally scheduled out to the hour. I didn't add up my hours until the very end, and had exactly 168 hours scheduled out! Yes, there may be some slight variance from week to week, but this pattern is a pretty standard schedule for my life. I juggle a lot of tasks, and have a lot of practice doing so. The routine, that I implemented in grade school, has helped my mind and body know what to expect. Setting expectations helps strengthen your resolve to stick with the routine, and it gets easier with practice. Since my time management skills were developed at a young age I was able to avoid bad habits such as hitting the snooze button, tardiness, and being unprepared. My parents were fantastic in teaching me these skills when the results were less crucial. Being late or unprepared for grade school has a smaller impact than being late to your job as an adult. Learning these skills as a child is a lot easier than learning as an adult.
Time Management refers to making the best use of time as time is always limited. Time Management plays a very important role not only in organizations but also in our personal lives. (Management Study Guide)
After reviewing my time management schedule, I have noticed that I tend to save my coursework for the end of the day. I do this rather than doing it in the evening or afternoon, which is not beneficial to my coursework or myself. I have learned that by providing myself with a detailed daily schedule helps me stay on top of my schoolwork and allows me to enjoy time with my son without having to stress out about school work. I will be continuing this as I start my next course. As of now, I rely on my son taking a nap so that I am able to do my coursework in the evening. I will be changing this and placing him in a daycare where he can interact and play with other kids and I can get more coursework
Having good time-management skills is one of my most important goals during my journey through the online, writing-based program at Bethel University. I have a husband with a very demanding career, 2 teenage boys with demanding academic and athletic schedules, and I work during the local public school year. It will be absolutely necessary for me to utilize the tools I have on hand to stay balanced. The planner(s) I have, the dry erase calendar, the smartphone reminders, the random notes around my home; these are all important parts of my time-management skills. Being able to balance my time with all of these demands and my school work will depend on my dedication to do so.
When I got back to the office I was able to finish up some work that was given for that day and was able to get some of my homework done in the meantime. I took advantage of that fact that my supervisor was on vacation. I was able to stay as long as I wanted. Because in the beginning she created my hours and the days that I would come into the facility. It was only three days a week for about 4 to 5 hours, which was not even close to making 20 hours a week. Staying for almost 6 to 7 hours, it made a huge difference in my time sheet. Without it I am very sure that I would not have been able to finish as early as I did.
“New ideas enter a quiet mind with ease”(Chambers,2015,pg3). To me this is one of the most key requirements to successful time management. Once you have achieved inner peace, the “outside” will fall into its place. No one can work through clutter, because of all the distractions it permits. After over looking the Time-Management Sheet, I found that the schedule I have set for myself works very well and efficiently for me. I plan to continue to stick to it and refer back to this worksheet if more things come along.
Before we can manage our time we must know exactly what time is. The dictionary describes it as, the duration of one's life; the hours and days which a person has at his disposal. How we dispose of that time is time management. It's the way we spend our time to organize and execute around our priorities. Remember just because time is intangible doesn't mean that it is not valuable. I want to teach you about the background of time management, the different styles and how to use them, and how it will change your life.
