“New ideas enter a quiet mind with ease”(Chambers,2015,pg3). To me this is one of the most key requirements to successful time management. Once you have achieved inner peace, the “outside” will fall into its place. No one can work through clutter, because of all the distractions it permits. After over looking the Time-Management Sheet, I found that the schedule I have set for myself works very well and efficiently for me. I plan to continue to stick to it and refer back to this worksheet if more things come along.
When I want to brainstorm or think of new ideas for something, I go downstairs where it is quiet, cool, and most importantly clean. I have been like that my whole life. I can sit down, think, write and analyze situations a lot better

There are many internet articles and self help books on the how to's of conquering time management problems. After exploring what felt like hundreds of articles and videos, I discovered an article that I thought could really help me manage my problem. “Work Smarter, Not Harder: 21 Time Management Tips to Hack Productivity” written by Jordan Bates, gives us a view into everyday strategies Bates uses to accomplish his daily goals. This is a simple, yet useful article set up to “trim the fat” of what we now see as being productive. Bates discusses the need for hyper-productivity in today’s society. This leads us to mindless menial tasks that can actually distract us from what we really need to accomplish. Although there were twenty-one steps listed,
Just last year I worked Full TIME as a Business Analyst, took care of my kids and then assisted with my new granddaughter as my daughter worked and depended on me to get her from home to work and vice versa. Not to mention, I was a FULL TIME student in school. So TIME MANAGEMENT was always a key factor that I had the hardest time to figure out. I found myself stressing over the small things, getting upset at situations I could not control with countless of sleepless night with taking care of the family and trying to find me time. As I completed this activity sheet I can see where my challenges were and this time I know what to expect. Now that I am not working I have more time for school and I am more focused.
Two time management procedures that I have developed are creating a daily plan and prioritizing tasks. Creating a daily plan allows me to assign priority to tasks. This practice ensures that important tasks are completed on time.

Managing our time is a key part of being on task in school and helps us be successful. I was very bad at managing my time in high school. I did not think it was necessary to plan out my day. I did everything at the time I felt like it. I always ended up staying up late at night because I didn't want to do my homework earlier in the day. This lead to me getting a lack of sleep and not being able to concentrate in class because I was too exhausted. I got better at managing my time when I joined marching band because it took up all my time. I had to schedule time to do homework and get other things done too. I would write all the events I had to attend and what days I could use to do my homework on my calendar. I also set up reminders on my phone
After reviewing my time management schedule, I have noticed that I tend to save my coursework for the end of the day. I do this rather than doing it in the evening or afternoon, which is not beneficial to my coursework or myself. I have learned that by providing myself with a detailed daily schedule helps me stay on top of my schoolwork and allows me to enjoy time with my son without having to stress out about school work. I will be continuing this as I start my next course. As of now, I rely on my son taking a nap so that I am able to do my coursework in the evening. I will be changing this and placing him in a daycare where he can interact and play with other kids and I can get more coursework
Without having successful time management skills flowing correctly in my daily schedule. I find myself stressing to get certain things done. Time Management is very important when it always seem that there is never enough time in the day to complete daily actives such as being a full-time working mother, wife, and student. It seems as if I try to stretch myself to complete more goals with less time. Even though I know, there are 24 hrs n each day those 24 hours never seem like enough to complete my daily activities. To work on a more positive and workable time management plan has become one of my main focuses. I have downloaded the time management form to see if I can expand find some extra time or manage my time more efficiently.Kuafman (2004) asserts that constantly late individuals cannot manage their time and routine appropriately and recommends that proper and appropriate planning is the main asset of a leader. The way that I have been operating, I have missed important deadlines, My work has been somewhat poorly and I have been working with higher stress levels. All this can be avoided by managing my time more correctly and stop trying to be a superwoman and handle so many things at once. I learned in this week's assignment that I need to focus on one thing at a time( Chambers,2015).
Having good time-management skills is one of my most important goals during my journey through the online, writing-based program at Bethel University. I have a husband with a very demanding career, 2 teenage boys with demanding academic and athletic schedules, and I work during the local public school year. It will be absolutely necessary for me to utilize the tools I have on hand to stay balanced. The planner(s) I have, the dry erase calendar, the smartphone reminders, the random notes around my home; these are all important parts of my time-management skills. Being able to balance my time with all of these demands and my school work will depend on my dedication to do so.
Time management is a useful skill that I want to keep for my whole life. It teaches me how to utilize my time on different things that I want to achieve. Life is about making decisions; you always want to spend the time on things that are important to you. After you have decided what those things are, you can go on and set up a plan that can lead you to the path of success. However, you should be careful about taking too many things at a time, everything has a sequence, going one by one should be saved for your plan.
Based on my time management Sheet I think I try my best to manage my time the best way possible. Being a wife, a Mom and having two-part time jobs can get a little hectic and also time consuming but my secret to my daily activities is that with in the time I have created a routine that has helped me to be on top of everything. I also write everything down when I need to accomplish more than the usual things through out the day. I sometimes make a list of everything that I need to do and follow the list for me not to forget within the chaos of the day. This week my schedule varied because of the Holiday but on a regular basis its always the same. Not forgetting to mention when the kids have Doctors appointments, Activities at school or Family
My generating ideas whenever I write is very simple. I brain storm and come up with my own ideas. It is known that good ideas have the strangest of origin, however, at the end it sometimes turns out the best masterpiece. Whenever I am about to write I brainstorm, because ideas do not accidently happen. It has to come from somewhere, because of a need that was noticed. TED talk, talked about ideas and where it came from. Ideas are free talk and free writing. He pointed out that good ideas happen in discussion places (TED Talk). I agree with his sentiments because when I write I like a quiet place to do my assignments; I perform best when there is a quiet, distraction free environment. Based on the Prewriting: From Mess to Masterpiece, brain
Time management entails an analysis of the jobs I have to do within a given time period. To do this effectively I need to plan activities and in order not to forget I may create prioritised ‘to do’ lists. However, time management is more than just identifying tasks and planning how to carry them out. I also need to make room for my wider goals in life, relationships, friends and family, I need a balance. Just planning and prioritising the tasks I have been
After I have completed my time monitoring worksheet I have notice that I need to manage my time properly to be more successful in college and life. I need to have a timetable at home where I write the days of the week and what I must be accomplishing hourly, for example as in the text stated chapter four page (68 ) There are twenty-four hours in a day, I must use my time wisely and set an alarm to remind you when it is time to start studying, cleaning, cook and other important chores.
