There are two main themes in the novel Tomorrow When The War Began. Those themes are mostly peace and war and also a heroism theme as well. The theme of peace and war is that it is a central theme or one of the central themes and quite often, the characters are gripped in the turmoil of conflict, while hoping for days of peace to come or reminiscing about the good life before the war itself. Peace and War has been explored throughout the whole novel as the seven teenagers go out in their town Wirrawee where it is in the middle of an all out war. This causes them to do things they have never done before in which they are forced to fight and make sure that they don’t get caught or killed as well as hope that their families are safe.
