Introduction
“My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me.” Jim Valvano. My dad is the best guy in the world. There are two main reasons that I would like to pay tribute to my dad; my dad was there for me when I needed him the most, and he also believed in me when I did not.
Body
I. The first reason that I would like to pay tribute to my father is because he was there for me when I needed him most. A. Growing up I always knew I was going to go to college, we never talked about it, it was just always assumed. So once the time came around that I needed to start thinking about colleges I decided on UMD. I

My dad has always told me that I can do whatever I want to do. Whatever I put my mind to I can do. It kind of goes back to my first point, with what to do about school. He said that he wasn’t going to decide for me it was all up to me. B. My dad is one of my best friends. I know most kids don’t like to hang out with their parents but I have always had a close knit relationship with both of my parents.
Conclusion
Today I have paid tribute to my dad Mike Ferris. I absolutely love him and he is the best dad in the world. I have told you about two things that make my dad so special and why he deserves tribute; he was there for me when my life changed forever, and he has always believed in me through everything. “A father is always making his baby into a little woman. And when she is a woman he turns her back again.” Enid
C. She would confuse much younger family members as being her parents or a friend she had not seen since grade school.
I carry respect for my father. When my father was 25 years old, he left the Philippines to move to the United States. His only goal on his mind was to buy a watch and Doc Martens boots. In order to make a living, he worked as a caregiver for 3 different families, every week. He never had a day off for himself. Eventually, he signed up for nursing classes, where he met my mother, fell in love, and began to carry bigger things. He became a father of three girls, and works as the charge nurse in the emergency room for two hospitals. He gave his watch to his little brother back home, and wore the boots out until it was completely wrecked. His goals were achieved, but received more than any man can imagine. Now, he carries love, and
I appreciate everything my dad does for me while I’m on and off the field; whether its buying me all of the new equipment I need or even writing me small motivational notes on game days in my lunch. I still have the first one that he wrote me, “Stay positive, relax/deep breaths, soft hands, sharp passes. Love you lots, Dad”. I believe that my dad is my most important literacy sponsor when it comes to lacrosse because without the resources and the support given to me I might not have had such a great experience growing into the lacrosse player I am today, playing at a collegiate level. I can connect my dad to Sherman Alexie’s dad because they both supported their children’s passions even though others weren’t as supportive. Both fathers also provided their children with as many resources and tools to succeed in their passions as they could. Because of my dad I now push myself to cut to the ball harder and fight for the ball in ground ball huddles. I motivate myself harder for my dad. I hope one day I can be a sponsor to my kids like my dad is to
Central Idea: This speech is to commemorate my father and to recognize him for inspiring me to be the person I am today.
When I started doing this tribute speech I had the wrong definition of the word tribute. After talking about it in class and explaining to me I had a better thought process. The tribute speech I am writing about is about my father. I want to tell how important he has been in my life and everything he has done for me.
There have been countless influential people in my life that I’ve come across. One who was a meticulous inspiration continues to be my grandfather. My grandmother had remarried to the one I call “grandpa” when I was at the age of five, and they both took to each other’s grandchildren as their own. With my mother and me only living a mile down the road from their farmhouse out in the country, I’d spent heaps amount of time there as a child. Indeed, I had been without a father but my grandfather stepped up to the plate and had taken me under his wing and willingly played the personification of a father figure.
2.He works full-time as a loss prevention theft agent while attending college as full-time student.
A. How many years have you been in school? How many of you ever thought that once I enter college that I will have a lot of freedom? Have you ever considered how much your life will change once you enter college?
Paul Keating’s speech ‘funeral service of the unknown Australian soldier’ and Noel Pearson’s speech ‘an Australian history for us all’ have developed and expressed ideas using language appropriate to their audience, purpose and form. Despite the fact, it is fundamentally the speaker’s skills in the construction of the speech that determine its decisive success.

The poem Acceptance Speech by Lynn Powell is about a housewife who feels undervalued by her family and by society. The title of the poem suggests that the character has received an award for achieving something brilliant, but in fact she is being sarcastic and conducting an imaginary award ceremony for herself in her kitchen, since no one else is willing to appreciate her hard work. The poet uses irony and personification of kitchen utensils and ingredients to add humour to the play. She uses the In this poem, the character deals with her desire to be appreciated by propelling herself into an imaginary scenario in her kitchen where she is in the spotlight and humorously personifies ingredients in food who are just as under appreciated as
One of my favorite parts about my granddad particularly was how he always had something inspiring to say to me every day to keep me going. Sometimes it feels like he’s still inspiring me today while in heaven. I believe I would be struggling more if I didn’t have him around when I was little. He was the only father that was there for me when needed most. I miss him all the time, but

I don’t think that my dad knows how much I really do appreciate him and everything that he has done for me. My dad has been there for me every step of the way. From teaching me the essentials like walking and talking to just the simple joys in life like riding a bike and driving a car. Every step of the way he was right there telling me how proud he was. To some those are just simple words but to me they mean so much more. The one thing I want in life is to make my parents proud and to never disappoint them. But what my dad doesn’t know is how proud I am of him. I’m proud of how he puts family first, always. I can always count on my Dad to be there at everything I do. I’m proud of his sense of humor, and how he lifts the spirits of those around him; how he can lift the spirits of our family when times are tough. My dad did not have the easiest childhood, he lost his mother as a teenager and grew up with just a father but still today he is one of the happiest most joyful hearted men I know and for that I am proud. I’m proud to tell you that he took the time every night when
