In society today driving a car or truck brings a lot of different emotions to the driver. First, the driver feels in control. they feel as if they're better then others for having such power in there hands. also feeling free to do whatever they wish with the vehicle. In addition, driving brings out rage, anger, and fustration. first comes the fustration of you not liking how slow the person is going in front of you or how the person behind you is riding your butt. second comes anger, you yell at the passing car, make hand gestures. then come the rage, you swerving in and out of cars; speeding upand slowing down, around the cars that were making you mad. you just cant control yourself anymore and the rage takes over the car. Finally, it helps
While driving, I feel like a soldier in a war zone, having to stay alert, knowing at any given time, my enemy can show up and what could happen next will unfortunately change my life.
Truck driving is a difficult profession requiring exceptional driving skills, judgment, level headedness, independence, and stamina. Passing the CDL test alone doesn't mean that one possesses the above qualities that mark a true professional. Only years of experience will do that. Semi-trucks are huge, top-heavy, and unwieldy vehicles that are difficult to drive even when road conditions are good. During bad weather and especially in the winter, avoiding trucking accidents requires much concentration and skill from the driver.
Among the choices you will certainly have to make is whether to lease a moving truck and load and transportation on your own or whether to transform the reigns over to an expert relocating company.
Early on in the nineteenth century, being a new invention, car companies were producing expensive automobiles that only the wealthy were able to afford. This separated the social classes even more in the pride there was of owning a car. But, money could not buy experience, early drivers were not experienced drivers and their reckless behaviors made some fed-up Americans feel obligated to do something to slow them down.
American culture has projected itself onto the automobile, imparting a sense of Manifest Destiny. In a car, the driver owns the road. Driving is an entitlement, a privilege, a right. The driver creates his or her own social space within the car, which becomes a symbolic boundary between the self and Other. Only friends, family, and
Truck driving is a job that people have a passion for. People don't just wake up thinking I wanna get a job truck driving. It's a passion and commitment because the process is not easy. Especially when you have to go state to state some people can't handle the days away from there family and 2nd they can't handle the on the road life period. There are great outcomes though especially when you a have years behind this career.
There was twice a week trips to a town half an hour away, and thirteen-hour drives to Pennsylvania each summer to see family. At home on the farm, my older siblings and parents drove tractors, skid loaders, and other farm equipment. The driver controls the destination; when I was driving I was free to explore, escape and deviate from the normal paths. Thus, I anticipated my turn to drive. Many others in that setting do not recognize the value of driving outside the obvious logistical value. For no one wants to be found lacking in driving skill while operating a fifteen-ton tractor and wagon. Yet when driving 'in the middle of nowhere' as many would describe it, driving becomes more than a way to get from point a to point b: it is a way to build relationships with those riding along, think, and explore less frequented
Now we get into what is known as the reckless driver. A picture comes to mind of a frazzled man or woman driving a beat up Oldsmobile; cigarette dangling from the lip of their mouth, swerving in and out of traffic while others beep their horns in disapproval. This type of driver can occur when a competent driver has had a bad day and is encountering the overly cautious driver. Stereotypically this driver is younger in age and male, but I feel that the reckless driver has no set age or sex. They get so angry for the smallest of reasons that they don’t really care what they do as a result, so long as they go out in a blaze of glory. They tend to disregard most driving signs and have no qualms about risking their life or the lives of others. These are the drivers who barely apply the brake when coming to a stop, more like “tap tap and go”. My uncle Jim is a prime example of a reckless driver. At the age of 82, he drives a boat of a Cadillac, commanding the streets with his led foot and somewhat latent reactions to those around him. Try telling him to ease up or look out, and he’s bound to increase the gas flow to his V8 engine.
I chose this song because it reminds me of my brother who has passed away. he always called our vehicle his truck. The theme of the song is how much the singer misses his brother and how he feels closer to him when he is in his truck. The speed at which death can come is shown by the little stuff he notices about the truck. Driving the truck helps him to deal with the loss of his brother “People got their ways of coping Oh, and I’ve got mine I drive your truck”.
Just about since birth, we have been passengers in a car. Then later down the years, we become the drivers. When you think about it, we put ourselves in danger every time we get behind the wheel or just in for the ride. Imagine if you are driving a compact car and crash into a half-ton pickup truck. The passengers in the truck will walk away with little to no injuries, while you will possibly sustain serious injuries and potentially death.
Emotional driving, both positive and negative, can cause you to take chances that you would not normally take, including speeding, weaving between vehicles, and trying to beat a red light. When possible, allow your emotions to calm down a little before attempting to drive. When your emotions are heightened while driving, be aware of your heightened emotions, and work to be extra cautious. Driving is not a good way to take out aggression or anger, and speeding to get somewhere to share your good news could cause an accident.
You are making a long-term commitment by buying your first car. You are faced with a tough decision between a truck or a car, and you must weigh the options you have. Trucks are the better choice of vehicle because of off-road capabilities, they can pull heavy loads, and they have more power
Young drivers argue that driving gives them a sense of responsibility and independence. Also, some parents disagree
The question that should be asked is why are so many people are compelled to be dangerous drivers? It could be that there is a sense of invincibility when they are in control of a big powerful machine. This is often the case with younger male drivers, who enjoy the thrill of dangerous driving. In other instances normally calm, law abiding drivers snap in a fit of rage. This road rage can turn a driver from calm to instantly a monster behind the wheel,
Driving fast in a car may be unsafe but the thrill and excitement of high rates of speed gave me a rush I had never felt before. Seeing, feeling and hearing everything go by faster made the whole driving experience so much better. My mouth watered with envy as I approached the drivers' seat every time I went out for a drive. The automobile, as a whole, became a high interest of mine; the styling, the sound and the speed of it. I loved driving and I loved cars and all of this new found love was from the birth of my drivers' license. Such a simple piece of paper opened up such a broad area of learning for me; it was of much amazement to me.
