He had ( and idk about him now, hopefully he’s recovered but like I said idk) depression and suicidal thoughts. In his music he doesn’t write songs about love, but deep problems. Some lyrics are: “stay alive, stay alive for me” , “I look outside and see a whole world better off without me in it” , “no one else is dealing with your demons” , “but im lying im so very far from fine”. His music is the most deep and depressing in his earlier music. Which is weird because if you look back at video from him at that time he seems so happy. But he’s not. And that’s one of the things he teaches his fans; just because you laugh and smile doesn’t mean you’re happy. A nice fact about him is at every show he gives a speech. It’s never the same one, but they all have meaning. He tells his fans “it’s okay to keep going” and to “stay alive” that’s his motto. He uses his experiences with depression to help other people that are going through similar things. At a concert I heard a guy yell to him “you saved my life” and I saw tyler smile at him knowing he helped yet another
