As I entered my senior year of high school, my range of college interests was all over the place. My mind was changing everyday from seeking a big school environment to a small college. I could imagine myself in a rural community, or could just as easily see myself enjoying college in a metropolitan area. I believe that UNCW offers the best of both worlds in the way it is not in a huge city, but not in the middle of nowhere. There is always something to do and you are not stranded as some of my friends are in their college towns. Right now I am undecided on a major but I am either leaning towards a business path or the pre health way, I know very different directions, but UNCW is a great place to pursue either career. My family has always
I have fallen in love with UNCW after first-hand seeing it for myself last summer. I know a lot of alumni from UNCW and have heard nothing but positive things about the school, teachers, and its courses. I am interested in majoring marketing or business and UNCW excels in both of these areas for me. In addition, it provides many courses that assist me in meeting my goals for my career. I would love to attend UNCW because it is close to my hometown but also far enough to where I can be an independent. Not only do I believe the University of North Carolina Wilmington is the right fit for me and my future career but also has every aspect that I am looking for in a college. It has the perfect location, the perfect size, very affordable, and the
My intended major at this university is sociology. My interest in sociology was developed after speaking to several people while I was in my former school. During my time in school, I always found that observing other people is exciting. I would sit and listen to them talk about their lives, their relationships with their friends, families and teachers. I
UNC Charlotte has made a significant impact on my undergraduate career because this campus has an abundance of resources, a helpful staff, a diverse atmosphere, and plenty of opportunities for campus involvement. This university has a variety of staff, all of which have been helpful in my college experience. They are excellent about working with students so they can gain the most out of their educational experience. For example, when I have sought out more information on which portion of Spain to go to, so that I may improve my Spanish fluency, my professor was extremely helpful. She sat down with me and explained about what it is like living in Spain, tips for where to go, and what to expect from the different regions. This valuable information
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to attend UNC Chapel Hill. The only problem with going to a big university is the money and maintaining a certain grade point average. Chapel Hill is located near Raleigh, Durham which
Apart from the class size, the campus itself is another reason I really think UWGB is great for me. Green Bay has so many separate building that serve their own individual purpose from the library, to the recreational center, and the auditoriums, into the ever famous tunnels beneath the campus. Not only do you have subject specific building but you have this network or tunnels to better aid the students in their commute to their classes in the frigged weather of the Wisconsin winter. This is not only a luxury but a real deal maker for me because it ensure that I'll be able to get to my classes on time, ready to learn instead of barging in late and unprepared. These are just some of the reason I feel like UW Green Bay would be a perfect fit for me on my journey to bettering my education.
The mission statement at UNC Wilmington states that they are committed to student engagement, creative inquiry, critical thinking, thoughtful expression and resposible citizenship. These qualities are things that every student should look for when the big deciosion of where to go to college comes up. College is a big stepping stone for students, it shouldnt be about where all your friends are going, or where the parties are gonna be. The education and enviorment you are wanting to be in is what matters. I have dreams and aspirations of becoming a nurse, getting a BSN degree. UNCW has factors that stand out against any other school. Job prospects and salary are high, this means that when I leave UNCW I wont have to worry about whether or not
The University of North Carolina Wilmington gives a welcoming and home-like feeling to all who attend. Once I step foot on campus, it reminds me of the privilege I have of staying home. It has always been the college I've wanted to attend. The small and diverse community is what keeps me here in Wilmington, North Carolina and UNCW fulfills my dreams of not leaving. I find the mixture of races and gender to be essential in a community or school. It defines a person including their culture and allows everyone to be different from one another. It proves that we can all get along and work together to create greater changes as a whole; UNCW has that variety. However, not only does the diverse environment attract me, but so does the beautiful campus.
One thing I needed in my college of choice was that it had to be small because I knew I would be able to focus better. My first choice, Towson University, was a large school and all my friends currently go there, but God, and my perspicacious mother, clearly knew I should not go there because of the countless distractions that would have hindered my success. The small atmosphere of Catawba enabled them to have a family style relationship all around campus. I am used to this family style because it reminded me of my high school. Another reason I chose to enroll at Catawba was because of its six hour distance away from my home known as the DMV, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, area. I have been in that area all my life and living somewhere else for I think would be greatly beneficial to my development as a person and would broaden my perspective. The other aspect of moving away from where you have been all your life is that you have to leave behind all your family and friends and that is one of the hardest parts. However, you will have a newfound appreciation for them that
It has every program I was looking for along with a gorgeous campus and it’s in close proximity to the sea.The innovative nature of UNCW is what really made me think UNCW is the school for me and give me an opportunity to explore different horizons and allow me to be
My major is Human Development. I am taking 13 units for this fall 2015, and volunteering at Horizon Cross Cultural Center where I can learn my skills and my experiences. My future plan is graduate in the Spring of 2017. After graduation, I plan to work full-time.
I am applying to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, because it is a large school with outstanding credentials, with a strong community and lots of school spirit. This is exactly what I am looking for for in my college environment. I want a large school population where I can meet new people every day, get involved in many activities, and where I can make connections and build relationships with my professors. I also look forward to living in snow again - I moved from Denmark to California a few years ago, and I miss the winter weather!
I love how UNC Wilmington’s population of students was so diverse. I knew coming out of high school I wanted a fresh start and I wanted to make my own way into this world. I felt like UNC Wilmington was the best place for me because it was going to allow me to do just that. The diverse amount of students meant that I was going to meet so many new people that were different from the people I had known all my life. Compared to the other schools I visited, UNC Wilmington stood out to me more than the others. The whole staff was so much more welcoming and helped me really feel like I was already a part of the Seahawk family. I think the staff reflected the atmosphere of UNC Wilmington and really made me want to work hard to be accepted into the school. I am the type of person where the size of the school really matters to me. I did not want to go to a school that I knew was so large in size that what I did was not going to matter. I think the main reason why I fell in love with UNC Wilmington is the size of the school. I know that at UNC Wilmington I will be given the chance to get to know my professors and to be
The institution that I have decided to attend is the University of Central Florida. The main reason why I chose this school was because it will help me save money and I won’t need to travel anywhere to get my degree. Another big reason as to why I chose this school is because they have many great programs that will help me be better prepared when I begin my career such as their Modeling, Stimulation, and Training Epicenter which is used to prepare nursing students with different types of scenarios that they might face while working and also helps them work hands on rather than watching someone else do the job. UCF was also a good choice because their Medical Mission trips could help me and other nursing students travel to other places in the

Every college has distinct differences that make them unique. Coming from a community with two thousand people, I really enjoy the small town feeling Oklahoma State provides. Additionally, as a land grant university, it ensures a higher education compared to other programs. Coming from and enjoying the agriculture industry, it is very important to me that my future college has a strong background in that field, which Oklahoma State provides.
