United Nations
The United Nations is an organization established 24 October 1945. It was a replacement for the League of Nations. The UN was created following the Second World War to prevent another such conflict. The organization is financed by giving its member states a substantial fee. Its objectives include maintaining international peace and security, promoting human rights, fostering social and economic development, protecting the environment, and providing humanitarian aid in cases of famine, natural disaster, and armed conflict.

They will decide on what needs to be done to tackle the problem and what their role, with UN, can do about it. Sometimes it can be financial restrictions on countries when it comes to debt or sanctions. However, when regarding war or tackling organisations, soldiers will be deployed or they will conduct bombing in targeted areas.
This impacts the public services as our military will be sent out on missions across the world, fighting conflicts we should not be involved in. It costs our Home office a lot of their budget as they have to pay for soldiers and equipment in wars they might not have otherwise got involved in. This may also weaken our own armed forces as we are sending soldiers and equipment into wars we don’t need to be a part of.

European Union
The European Union is a group of European countries who combined together as allies after WWII for trade and peace reasons. It was established so countries in Europe would not create conflicts with each other to prevent the disaster of the two World Wars. They also signed trade deals to secure the countries in the EU would be financially stable and not go into depression and poverty like most countries did in WWII. Each country in the EU has to provide the EU with money to operate.
