Unsung heroes “Heroes represent the best of ourselves, respecting that we are human beings. A hero can be anyone from Gandhi to your classroom teacher, anyone who can show courage when faced with a problem. A hero is someone who is willing to help others in his or her best capacity.”
-Ricky Martin. This quote explains one could be a hero even if one was not a firefighter during 9/11. Some people were not recognized by the great job they did to help. Because the firefighters and unsung heroes fought back, risked their lives, and saved people’s lives, the heroes of 9/11 helped America in their time of devastation. During the whole dilemma, firefighters tried their best to take as many people as they could out the crumbling buildings fast. Even in the situation they were in, they still put other people’s lives before theirs because they were brave and bold. Not only did firefighters help during this disastrous time, but other heroes did. Such as, Benjamin Keefe Clark, he was a chef on 96th floor of the world trade center but he used to be a marine. Because it did not happen then, they succeeded to crash their planes into the twin towers creating 9/11. They killed almost about 2,700 people in the World trade center. More people got athsma from the smoke that came from the south twin tower from collapsing. Bin Laden’s crew is called Al-Qaeda and it is Arabic meaning “the base” or “the foundation”. The terrorist group had 19 hijackers that got on 4 different flights. The terrorists used the planes as bombs to crash into buildings. At first they wanted to the bomb the white house but their plan failed. They finally achieved flying threw the north twin tower. After a couple of minutes the next plane flew into the south twin tower. From all four plane crashes 266 people died. Some people were killed before the before flight crash into the world trade
