In response to the research report, this draft outlines my basic blueprint to research bicycle rental system. The research will lead to the recommendation of building a bicycle rental transportation system in Vancouver.
Introduction
From today to the future year 2030, it is appropriate to estimate that Vancouver population will increase by more than one million. Vancouver public transportation will hardly bear the pressure due to the largely increase in population. Other than population pressure, the public transportation is criticised by huge carbon emissions as well. For sharing the responsibility of Translink, it is necessary to build the bicycle rental system as a supplement of sky train and bus.
The business idea is to establish

It is foresee that in next 10 years, more and more people do not take the bus at peak times, but by bike to avoid the crowds.
Our Public bicycle system is one of "remote circulation" model, the more the stations, the more people use it. Thus, the revenue will increase. However, building station net works is the most difficult problem the development of public bike system. If government will not sponsors this program, a department or enterprise alone to establish rent houses is difficult to reach the economical of scale. Therefore, the new business system will end result of high unsustainable costs.
For solving this problem, we should seek the cooperation from Vancouver government. Our management team should formed by the Municipal Construction Commission, Public Transport Group and all other relevant units. Urban management, traffic police, public transportation and communities together selected stations address. All stations will located in sidewalks, parking lots, bus stations and other public areas at a very low rent cost or even free.As the bicycle becoming an important component of urban public transport part, the market orient mode will difficult to go through. Our team explicitly proposed public bike should be implemented largely public operation. Public bike rental system, hardware, software should be invested from the government budget.
To avoiding loss from stealing, our team will also cooperate with university of

The town of Halton Hill’s population includes the areas of Georgetown and Acton and other communities such as Erin, Oakville, Burlington and Milton regions. This is what is considered to be my community because these are the many places that I am visiting most often and they are always referred to together as “Halton Hills Region” (p.5, 2011). With the substantial increase in population in the Halton Hills region, more specifically Georgetown, there should be a strong demand for a public transit system to counteract all of the environmental disturbances that are being caused due to this increase. One of the things that is happening is that there are so many trees they are cutting down in order to expand and grow the population with houses being built. Statistics are showing that the population of Halton Hill’s region will expand by 54% over the next 20 years (p.5, 2011). By the year 2031, employment rates will increase by 75%, leaving Halton with 42,100 jobs being offered (p.5, 2011). With this rapid influx of citizens, this will only increase the demands of travel to get to these work places as well as other destinations (p.5, 2011). Over the past couple of year’s the traffic congestion on the major roads in Halton Hills such as Trafalgar Road and Regional Road 25 with individuals trying to get to and from work. There used to be very little traffic in these areas, however since Halton Hill’s has continued to expand, the utilization of automobiles has significantly increased due to the fact there is no public transit system. The Transportation Demand Management in Halton Hill’s is noticing the increase in automobiles stating that there needs to be a major shift in more efficient ways of transportation, yet there still has been nothing improvised (p.7, 2011). The Transportation Demand
The system works as follows: Bikes are locked into docks at stations throughout the city. Stations have varying amounts of docks, depending on the expected volume of customers based on their location. Through purchase of either a day- or year-pass, a user can rent a bike out of any bike dock, at any station. The bike can be ridden anywhere without a limit on distance. Bikes in use can be returned to any station. Users only incur extra fees if they have a bike rented for more than 30 minutes. As such, users can ride indefinitely at no extra charge so long as they make quick stops every half hour at a nearby station.
Current supply chain responsiveness seems adequate to support the customized bicycle product. The short production time required for the bicycle lends greater production flexibility to the Company. Parts can be ordered and received in one week.
Improving transit will reduce commute time and amount of cars on the road. Toronto is ranked 47th worst traffic in the world. This means that Toronto has a real traffic problem. We must improve the system. This means, having better bus routes and more buses, more subway lines. Toronto currently has only 4 subway lines. This is nothing compared to New York with 34 lines. If our transit
Everyday people in Toronto travel to places using public transportation. Without public transportation, we wouldn’t be able to go to places that are far away from us. We needed them in our everyday life but there are key problems that surfaces when using public transportation. Public transportation may seem convenient but for others it may not seem ideal for them from certain circumstances such as the cost, lack of transportation in a certain area and the delays. These make people not want to ride a public transportation which is why Toronto should improve on the public transportation to make the best interest for the people.
It is never easy to do good for the society. It comes with many complications. Money, effort, oppositions. It is never easy and especially to do it in New york city, the centre of all economic opportunities, just makes it even more difficult. It all started in 2006, under the leadership of former mayor, Michael Bloomberg, when “the city planning department conducted a survey of city bicycle commuters and recreational cyclists in 2006”( Lyon 4) to see the feasibility of NYC city bike share program. The main intention or rather the main motive for introducing a bike share program was to “maximise efficiency of existing mass
A reliable bus service is an essential part of any successful city. Many of the neighbourhoods of Maple Ridge are easily accessible by the city’s bus service. This safe, reliable and effective method of transportation is another reason as to why Maple Ridge is an affordable and fast growing alternative to the Vancouver housing market.
I’m suggesting the city government show increase the number of public transport in the city.
With the constrained scenario, traffic flow has improved, commute time has decreased, workers are getting to their places of business faster, and the businesses themselves are finding that they can transport their goods in a more timely fashion. The measures that were employed consist of adding directional bike lanes to the bridge, restriping the bridge combined with timed directional transition of the middle 5th lane, additional bus routes, and converting old buildings into domiciles. Although these measures have helped to improve traffic flow in the region, capital will have to be spent at a future date in order to add additional
Have you ever considered taking the buses, not the car, to your destination? According to his essay “The Bus, a Modern Panacea,” Lester Detroit states that the VTA system offers a fundamental solution for not only the SJSU student but includes most people who commutes to school or work. He claims that cars have the negative side effects for the environment problems; furthermore, cars are the problem of both traffic congestion and wasting time and money. He insists that students should “drop their car culture and create a new bus culture.” Bus is the “cure-all solution” for students. As for students, I strongly disagree with Detroit’s point of view that VTA system is a suitable transportation for students to commute. It is important for students to realize that not a lot of people know how to transit, taking the bus is inconvenient, safety concern, and pollution.
The street pattern of this census is aerial pattern, because the alignment of present public transit is based on streetcar pattern. 30.5% of employees travel in public transits (eg. Buses, sky strain) and more than 35% employees walk or bike to work place. However, congestion may cause by the segregation and concentration of homogenous land use. Parking along the street in Downtown Vancouver is expensive and streets congestions occur during peak hours. Thus, travelling with public transit to work place is less time consuming and allow longer travel distance. Because people can easily get to a sky station with maximum 20 minutes walk, it usually operates every 3
There are really many challenges if we try to improve public transportation, the government will be cost a lot of
Metro Vancouver is home to a diverse culture that is continuously increasing as more immigrants migrate to Metro Vancouver and call it home. As the population increases, more traffic congestions are occurring throughout Metro Vancouver. Due to this, Metro Vancouver claims through an increase to transit services and enhancement of roads, the traffic congestions will decrease. In addition, Metro Vancouver has proposed that the costs of the construction be paid through an additional 0.5 percent charge to the standard 7 percent Provincial Sales Tax. The Metro Vancouver transit referendum should be voted against since current taxes fund city transportation, construction will cause further traffic congestion, and Translink is not prioritizing funds efficiently.
The business proposal aims at addressing the parking problem in the University. The aim of the proposal is provide a good transportation alternative to the students and members of staff of the university. The Bicycle initiative is a business proposal aimed at not only providing employment opportunities, but meeting the demands of the target market.
