At the age of thirteen, Vanity Queen was emotionally shut off or at least that's what her therapist said. She didn't even know why. One day everything in her just cut off like an unpaid electricity bill. She wouldn't talk to anyone and she wouldn't look at anyone. She just sat in her room, staring straight ahead, for three weeks straight. Only getting up to use the bathroom and eat a snack here and there. Her mother was panicked the whole time. She even called her grandma to come stay with them. In Vanity's mind it wasn't that big of a deal. She just needed space. On Friday, during the third week of her not saying a word to anyone, she finally came out of her room. This caused her mother and her grandmother to relax but not for long. Three …show more content…
She knew this was coming. It was only a matter of time before her mom called for help. "Hey... Vanity... What's going on?" The voice said again.
"I know why you're up here." Vanity said in a neutral tone. She looked at the crowd down below and let out a dry chuckle. "They think I'm going to jump." They would like that wouldn't they? She thought.
"Vanity." The voice started. "I know we haven't spoken in a while, but can you at least look at me." The voice said. "I haven't seen those pretty eyes in weeks." They added. That's when Vanity turned around. It's been three years and she was still blown away by the petite girls features. For once in three weeks Vanity smiled and the other presence smiled back.
"Hi." Vanity breathed out. Maybe this was all she needed to feel better. She just needed to be around someone that made her

She completely forgot what she came up here for. All it took was one look and that smile that she loved so much. Vanity got up from the ledge and walked slowly towards her. She could hear the crowd sigh in relief and the flashes of cameras , as her girlfriend wrapped her arms around her waist and buried her face in her neck. She ran her hand through the older girls dark tresses and breathed in her scent." You know you scared the shit out of everyone, right?" She felt the girl nod against her shoulder. "I'm pretty sure your mom pissed herself...twice." She felt the girl pull away. She had tears running down her cheeks. The brown eyed girl quickly wiped them away.
"Do you have somewhere to be right now?" Vanity mumbled. She didn't want to be alone in a castle with her mother, grandmother, and two siblings. She knew they were going to interrogate her. She really didn't need that now. "I want you to stay with me." She begged. She wanted to be a close to her as possible.
Kenzie frowned. "I was with Ella before your mom called my mom. She's having a rough day." Who gives a fuck. Vanity thought. This whole month has been rough for her. She would pay to see Ella White in her shoes right now. " Oh. Well, I'll let you get back to her
From inside we could hear Phineas fall clumsily down the white marble stairs. Everyone stayed calm as we rushed outside to assist him. Finny said he couldn’t move or feel his legs and people started splitting up to go get help and shouting orders. Once the doctors and nurses arrived some of us helped to move him to the infirmary. After what seemed like hours Dr. Stanpole came out to tell us the news. He told us something we never expected. Phineas severed his spine. He was paralyzed from the waist down and would never be able to walk again. He said that Phineas needed rest so everyone should go back to their rooms. Everyone left but I was frozen. It was almost as if I had fallen with Phineas, I couldn’t
In my opinion, the ending wasn’t satisfying. It wasn’t satisfying because I was expecting a little bit more. For example, when the whole entire band shaved their hair I was surprised. But, I was wondering as to why the girls didn’t do it as well, I was hoping that they’d shave their hair as well. Also, when Jeffery got sick and Steven couldn’t perform, but in the end he received an award for his drums. But, he didn’t even perform and he got the award, I thought that it was unfair for the other people that played the instruments. Also, when Steven went to Sam and she died I was heartbroken. So, I would’ve kept her alive, I would have let her meet her sister. I would let them have a reunion, then later on she would give some more advice to
“Well,” Mrs. Johnson interrupted, “how about we settled down and talk about our plans for the morning?” Everyone agreed and sat in a circle discussing their ideas. Next, they decided they should head to bed due to the early times they would have to wake in the morning. As they woke up, they put on their layers of clothes, grabbed their bags, and headed for the Johnsons’ business. They would be staying in an attic, which luckily had a bathroom, but would have to sleep all in one room. They set up their belongings and set rules which they would have to follow to stay safe.
“My name is Ada. My mom went missing in action last year, and is most likely dead. I am very nervous about this.” they all went silent including Elizabeth and Kathleen who as Ada noted were very giggly and chatty. The all looked
Her enthusiasm lasted till lunchtime, fading only when no one came forward to talk to her, to tell her how beautiful she looked that day, to apologize, perhaps, for the late-night phone call. She is so desperate to know who it was. For her this is one in a billion of amazing things that happen to her. Today would be no different at all, she realized. It was just as if nothing had ever happened. What if it never happens again? Thinking to herself she thought that maybe she was sick and this was all just a dream. No one could ever like someone like her, I mean she wasn’t the prettiest and she didn’t have the “perfect
“everything is fine.” But everything wasn’t fine at least as she knew it. For all she knew her son was dead.
Sammy looked around for his girls once again and as he was thinking where they were and what they were doing a loud car horn interrupted his thoughts. He turned around and couldn’t believe what he saw. It was Queenie. She was smiling at looking directly at Sammy. He wasn’t sure whether it was a dream or not but he wanted this moment to last forever. Sammy decided to approach Queenie even though he didn’t know what to say and how to act. The closer he was, the more scenarios of what would happen next, were crossing his mind. Then all of the sudden, the pleasingly sweet voice said:
A thirteen-year-old girl stood in front of her floor length mirror and stared at herself. Her floor was hidden beneath dirty and clean clothes, useless papers, and random books. All she could see, though, was her frizzy hair, crooked teeth, the fat that poured out from her clothes, and the black river of tears flowing down her cheeks. This girl tried to see past the flaws that everyone told
She stares at herself in the mirror, examining every self inflicted scar from picking scabs. Her skin tone is grey and dull. Her hair has gotten oily and unkempt. She stopped caring about her looks and was not aware of it. There are age spots on her face that seem to have appeared over night. She touches her face and strokes the bags under her eyes with her finger tips. She looks now at what used to be a beautiful smile and cannot believe that her teeth have decayed, they are almost gone. It saddens her and she looks away. She feels ashamed of what she has become. She looks back at the mirror only to be looking into her eyes. With a hoarse voice she utters the words, “How did this happen?”
“Julep! Why are these dishes still in the sink? Do I not make myself clear enough for you to understand?” her mother boomed.
The sadness of the girl’s eyes, how her hair and clothes are kept, the way she is seats on the ground, and the way her head is turned makes the audience feel a sense of sadness, empathy, and a sense of determination. A viewer would
“Christ Alessandra, knew I was going to have to fight to keep men’s hands off you but hell I didn’t think I was going to have to watch out for women too,” He’s laughing and has a huge grin on his face. The fact that he’s got a growing hard-on tells me he’s perving on the thought of finding me and Violet together. Idiot.
It was a good thing that Chase had gotten his fallen warriors to be loyal to her before he died. He had trusted Kimiko enough to do this at the time and probably still would if he were alive.
The word echoed off the walls, the current occupants of Albus Dumbledore’s office having shouted it simultaneously
“Iva!” A boy sang as he hugged the so called Iva from behind. Iva was slightly shocked from this surprise attack, “T-Tomas!” she stuttered. Tomas grinned from ear to ear as his victim turned to stare him in the eyes. “That’s my name sweetheart.” He hugged tighter, not showing any signs of letting go. “Why do you keep calling me that? How many times must I tell you to stop? Just because we have been friends since forever, doesn’t mean you can be all chubby with me. I’m sixteen soon and I deserve some respect.” She lectured the playful boy.
