I have had a passion that has dominated my life from a young age. At the age of 6 years old, I decided that my goal in live was to become a Veterinarian. Moreover, along the course of my life, I have found a new passion. My infatuation with the Japanese culture and language has led me to aspire to practice veterinarian medicine in Japan. Animals and Japan have become such a huge influence on my life, Although, as much as I love them, I am aware I have chosen a difficult path to tread. Becoming a veterinarian in America is already a very competitive field to enter, let alone becoming vet in a foreign country. Setting aside the possibility of language barriers I could encounter, veterinary medicine in Japan most likely has completely different
I used to tell my friends and teachers that I wanted to explore the medical field because that was what my family wanted me to do. They wanted me to become a doctor as it is a well praised profession that pays extremely well. As I grew older and entered middle school, I realized that becoming a doctor wasn’t something I was immensely interested in. Instead of a doctor, I wanted to become a veterinarian, treating animals instead of people. I’ve become aware of my passion for animals ever since I began having pets: from fish to hamsters to dogs. I decided to focus on animals when I first took one of my hamsters to a veterinarian. I thought that their profession was fun and interesting because it revolves around animals, something that I love and grown up with. Although studying veterinary sciences is difficult and competitive, becoming an animal doctor has been one of my greatest
The outlook of this job is predicted to grow substantially over the next years. “Employment of veterinarians is projected to grow 9 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. Veterinarians will continue to be needed to diagnose and treat animals.” (Veterinarians; Career, Salary, and education information). The reason for veterinarians being in such a need in the future is because like there will always be people, those people will always have pets. Those pets will also always need someone to take care of them, just like all people will always need doctors. Veterinarians, in general, will always be needed but, different areas of the veterinary field will be needed differently in the future. For example, food and animal veterinarians (a type of Large Animal Veterinarian) will be especially in need in the future because as the population of the planet is always increasing, those people will always need food which requires a veterinarian to administer healthcare to those food-producing animals. Also, because colleges not only train vets in the study of treating animals they also train vets in fields such as public health, disease control, corporate sales, and population studies therefore if they do not have any interest in the more common fields they will almost certainly be able to find a decent job in another. Even though the veterinary field is on a steady incline for
I am passionate about ensuring animal wellbeing, have a strong aptitude for scientific study (having chosen to study all three sciences; biology, physics and chemistry in high school) and am up to the challenge of dealing with all kinds of creatures, especially farm livestock and horses, companion animals and wildlife in rural and regional communities. The variety of animals I encountered at two local vets and at RDA Australia: a baby brushtail possum, wallaby, red-tailed black cockatoo, lorikeet, rabbit, dogs, cats and horses helped me determine where my interests lie. I am interested in everything from preventative care to psychological analysis and complex surgical procedures with emphasis placed on commitment to farm animal production to address the current shortage of rural veterinarians.
From a young age, I've had the dream of moving to and immersing myself in the culture of a foreign country. Being able to live and teach in Japan would allow me to fulfill this dream while also being in alignment with the goals of the JET Program. I have the long-term career goal of becoming a literary and media translator of Japanese, and think the program offers a unique opportunity to not only meet and communicate with native Japanese speakers, but also to have a firsthand experience with the culture of Japan. I believe being able to exchange ideas and languages with people from a different background will be both personally and professionally enriching, as well as facilitate goodwill and a sharing of cultures between countries.
When I was young, I had great interest in animals. Since my pet bunny died because of lack of medicine, I discovered some problems in China, like disparity of animals’ health care, which changed my interest to determination of being a vet to solve poor animals’ health care issues. In addition to assisting current veterinarians, the special internship in pre-vet program provides students opportunities to learn how to run small veterinary hospital. To achieve my career goal to solve disparity problem, I planned to establish a private veterinary clinic providing comprehensive medical care for both exotic animals and companion animals. The special interdisciplinary internship opportunity can help me to better understand what ability a clinic owner should be equipped with. With the internship experience, I will gain an understanding of more specific academic goals for my four years of study.
I love animals and I would love to work with them. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I would want to work with animals because they interested me so much. Becoming a veterinarian isn’t just about playing with dogs and cats all day; you are actually in charge of taking care of them and this is a no messing around job. You are responsible for whatever happens to that dog or any other animal. It’s a tough and serious job but I’m up for the challenge because it’s what I want to do for the rest of my
How can you trust someone you have never met face to face? By putting his faith in the psychic Andrew Morris, Detective Stephens sets himself up for failure in Sara Herrington’s Psychic passion, a novel of mystery, lust, and betrayal. Ultimately, Herrington’s book is about manipulation, and how easy it is to influence a trusting soul.
For the duration of my entire life, I had habitually fantasized about what I could become, what all I could accomplish, and most predominantly, how I could enhance the world in my own way. Over the years I have come to terms with the fact a single person can surely not change the entire world. Thus, my goals shifted from changing the world to something I care about deeply and passionately, which is animals. Accordingly, I have decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. With these goals and aspirations in mind, Madison became my top choice to expedite my knowledge and someday allow me to accomplish these dreams. Madison not only has an exceptional and nationally recognized veterinary program, but it holds both a bustling city feel as
Passion. The word in itself provokes zeal, and saying it brings about thoughts of perseverance and enthusiasm. The definition of the word passion describes it as a “ strong and barely controllable emotion.” This emotion commonly presents itself in the case of affection, politics, and religion. Multiple representatives of passion become apparent in the characters of “The Chosen”, by Chaim Potok. By the definition of religious passion, Reb Saunders, David Malter, and Danny Saunders all strongly embody this emotion.
My passion for fishing started the moment I could walk and it has always been my dream to catch a five pound bass. One of the reasons I am drawn to this hobby is because unlike most sports, the rules aren't set in stone and the fish can change them everyday. Throughout my life, my knowledge about fishing has steadily grown, and I have come a long way from where I started.
Being a veterinarian doesn't mean dealing with lots of cute animals, it means helping them and making sure they don't get hurt. Veterinarians didn't start in America it started in France. The town doctors would also take care of the animals as well. It takes a lot of work to be a Vet there are stresses and hard work and dedication.
“Good veterinarians talk to animals great veterinarians hear them talk back”. The career of a veterinarian is adventurous, because you get to travel and take care of different species of animals all over the world. The research will describe the career of a veterinarian; what is required of becoming a successful animal doctor and the impact this career has on society.
A veterinary career is not a goal easily met, nor quickly met; but I know few people can say they love what they do, and the hurdles I will have to face are worth getting to be one of those people. Veterinarians come into work everyday, whether that be a clinic, farm, or lab, treating and diagnosing medical conditions in animals. Depending on the type of veterinarian, this can range from household pets to exotic or endangered species. This is something I have imagined working towards since I was able to comprehend what a career was, and I have only gotten more determined. However, there are several aspects I could have not been aware of; through research, I have gained a better understanding of this career and the tedious road to achieving it, as well as the rewards; and there still is not anything I would rather pursue.
The three passions that have dictated the direction of my life have been sports, friends and family. My first passion, sports, has guided me through temptations such as drugs and dropping out of school and has kept me on the right track. My second passion, much the same as my first has helped to deflect the many temptations of life. It is my friends who have stuck with me through the ups and downs and it is to them that I owe much of what I am today. My third and strongest passion is my family, and more specifically my father. He brought me up as a single father when my mother wanted nothing to do with me; he fought to give me what he could and it is to him that I owe everything.
