A dull day sees dawn again.Today,I wake 20 minutes after my normal time. The greatest magic trick is always how five more minutes of sleep turns into 20 minutes. I walked in beginning of my friends dave presentation. “Sit down Jack” said Ms.Karl “Class is beginning.Dave begun with his report “ Whether you believe in God or angel, it does not matter. I stood in front of everyone and begun the story. “Ladies and gentlemen , today I bring you a truth story of a king that forged our society. This is the story of Vergil the Uniter and I may or may not write this last-minute. Vergil was born a weak child. The doctors declared that he would survive a week due a common cold. The 900’s weren't exactly the zenith of medicine. Even at young age this man was born with a will to survive. Vergil was the youngest of his family. His father was king of a small weak nation that constantly was harassed by other countries. The king was also a tyrant who oppressed his citizen. Vergil’s brother became power-hungry and tricked him into killing his father. They gave him a poisoned drink to give to his father and lied that it was a gift. With the king dead, the brothers were about to start a civil war for the right to rule. Vergil quickly thought ahead about the deaths and other evils a civil war would bring on the country. He pleaded with his brother to settle the dispute in a coliseum match. Vergil entered and won but he regretted it until he died. Some sources say his last words were “brother ,how I wish my hands did not shed your blood.” However he knew in their hands the country would go down.He also killed the corrupt officials that were in charge. Around age 20 or 21, Vergil led the country against one of its bullies. The army conquer the country and soon many more fell. The new king was a smart man and
This is not the end, even though I have accomplished the first part to pursue my ambition, I must now consider about murdering the king. My ambition will win, when I will become queen and my husband will be a king.
All great leaders have many similarities with one another. Leaders all over the globe have the ability to gain the support of their people and to keep it, which is definitely a challenge, but generally the way that’s done is the same for all leaders. But, the differences between leader’s characters and choices can be vastly different. This paper will discuss three great leaders named Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, and Julius Caesar, particularly how they inspired their people, the public’s opinion of the leader, each leader’s character, and overall which leader lead more efficiently and effectively.
he would soon be king. From this point, his actions lead to terrifying consequences involving
"There is a spy! There are in fact two filthy, double-dealing, misleading, two-faced, liars among us!" I announce. Everyone gasps in horror as they are processing this dreadful news. I immediately start to panic. If these two spies got away with this information, the king would be informed, and that would be it for all the peasants. If I get put into prison, who will support my family? Michel is only 8, Adelina has no common knowledge on how to deal with money, and my poor, poor baby, Julienne, God bless you. I pity myself as I remember the hard times when no one could afford any bread, not that there was any at all. They were hard times. Julienne was down with the dreadful flu, no food or medicine to help, the next day, she was simply gone. This thought always brings me to anger. The nobles were just partying away while we peasants were dying. I had to end the absolute monarchy. Back to the situation, I thoroughly observed each, and every representative, watching their expressions and how the
Revenge, ambition, and envy can all disrupt a society. Claudius, in William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, and Commodus, in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator, are both disturbing the order of society caused by their thirst for ambition, ultimately leading to the death of these men. To begin with, the jealousy and ambition in the cruel men blind them from the true facts. Finally, both Claudius and Commodus will do anything to achieve and maintain their positions and make sure no one gets in their way.
As the crowd gather they are confused and agitated. They are aware their ruler has been killed and are looking for answers. Previously reluctant to take power and
Death is something everyone will experience at one time or another. Whether it is from old age, sickness, or by some other cause, death is the one thing that can be expected by everyone. However, sometimes someone can die not by their choice but by someone else’s doing. This is the case for both Abraham Lincoln and Julius Caesar. They were both plucked unwillingly from the land of the living to go to whatever lies next. However, the similarities do not stop there. The rest of this essay will go over those similarities, such as the premonitions these men both receive before their deaths, the assassinators, the conspiracy itself, and what immediately happened thereafter.

The civilization he meant to build has transmogrified to a forest thick with traps" (121). Not only has he lost his muscle, he's lost his peace of mind as well. The king has become trapped by everything he worked so hard to achieve. His bling, his solid rep, his fantastic crib, and even his methods of ruling become a target for younger, ambitious warlords. His beautiful wife, a peace offering from a young and resentful lesser king, might become a point of contention in the future.
A long time ago, a giant named Vernan scaled up a steep cliff. Banished and alone, he searched for a new place to call home. His family had kicked him out because unfortunately in his case, he was far too kind. His father shunned him because, unintentionally, Vernan gave the family a bad name and made them look weak. Unlike the others, Vernan enjoyed frolicking through fields and catching butterflies in his spare time. This aggravated his father greatly, since he was always hunting and killing off the weak in order to prove his dominance to everyone. Although he served as a great leader among his people, they started taking him less seriously due to Vernan’s loving character and foolish behavior.

In the year 356 BCE, a man named Alexander was born. However, in the modern era he is no ordinary Alexander, but he is known as Alexander the Great. He achieved this nickname by conquering one of the largest empires to ever exist, the Persian Empire. Alexander also had numerous victories against enemies such as Egypt, Syria, Mesopotamia, Bactria, and Punjab. Despite all of these accolades, is Alexander really great? This essay argues that Alexander is not deserving of the title “the Great” because he always puts himself first, his nation collapsed just 10 years after he died, and his number of friends was next to none.
It is not easy being born a king. From the days of my humble youth to the present, my path to royal prestige has not been a clear path. The trials and tribulations I have suffered were only to develop my character. So, I say this: Am I the number one contender for valedictorian? No, I am not. Am I going off to Harvard to become a lawyer? No I am not. But the one thing that I am is something you jabronies will never be. Regardless after every failing grade, regardless after every tragic event, after every sickness, I still stand before you today as the People 's... King. And I think you would agree. Here is my story.
History is full of remarkable characters. Whether they were noble or unrepentant in their actions those were what made them immortal through our recorded history. One such character is Alexander the Great. Some have accused him as a drunken killer who wanted only to have the world under his rule. Others deem him as a kind-hearted man who wanted to better the world by spreading the culture of his people. The decision of what is in the right and what is feigning depends foremost on the sources and information being analysed. After much researching, Alexander the Great’s personality has been evaluated and the extent to which his actions shaped and changed the society in which they lived
Alexander the Great is remembered as a conquering man who built one of the largest empires. Some describe him as a man with a vision of world harmony. Others see him as a blood thirsty man with a mental illness. One thing that cannot be argued is that he and his empire are fascinating studies. From his rise to power to his mysterious death is interesting, but even after he died the story is fascinating. Due to his death, his empire was divided and a long power-struggle began starting with his generals. Each account has its own story of war and betrayal. These days must have been hard for those in power; they never knew who they could trust. Only the ones who were skilled in the strategy of war and ruthless enough to maintain their power
