Apon revisiting the web site NewsComAu.com, I realised that I had overlooked certain criteria while compiling our online presentation, and although the website’s coverage and currency are good, and the information I used is ratified by other sources, I now notice that the article I used is not referenced and the website is full of advertisements and sensational stories, which although not wrong in itself, would tend to question the objectivity and in turn the authority of the site, and I would hesitate to use it again, NewsComAu, (2014). Eelink.net (1999) inform us that although it is wise to evaluate a website, that ‘good information can be found on bad sites’, and re affirms the need to evaluate the information found on a website as well as the website itself. This becomes particularly applicable if we cannot find information on our subject of research on so called ‘good sites’, which may in fact turn out to have a bias regarding even reporting certain information. This leads us to consider our personal bias, which according to Eelink.net (1999) we all have. Our bias needs to be taken into consideration, because if unchecked this could cause us to dismiss information while researching a subject simply because we personally disagree with it,

Currency is to view and evaluate when the page was last updated. Lastly, Coverage which is to compare the information with information found on other websites. Does one site provide more information, more references, and more contacts? Also compare the information on the website with information available in print sources such as books, journals, reports, etc.

Overall, the website was very accessible and easy to navigate. The home page included tabs at the top labeled Health Topics, Data, and Media Centre to name a few. These tabs are helpful for the reader to find what they are looking for and may lead them to explore other topics that they weren’t necessarily looking for also. There is a convenient button along this row of tabs that looks like a house. This tab brings the navigator right back to this home page if they get too far into a certain tab and want to go back to the beginning.

The United States revolution is one of the most iconic events in not just American, but world history. So when performing research on a platform as vast as the internet, proper precautions must be taken. A well designed and thorough web evaluation should be done to ensure the credibility and integrity of the website’s content. Certain Criteria involve who authored the website, when the website was created, when it was last updated, who the website was intended for, what types of resources the website offers, and the sites overall value to the reader.

The website I have chosen for evaluation is “Blue Letter Bible” and its URL is: (http://www.blueletterbible.org/help/videoHelps.cfm#section2). The main reason which gets my attention towards this particular website is its powerful tools which are helpful for complete and comprehensive study of the Bible. Since, I have not study the Bible in my life before this course. So, I need a website which is comprehensive as well as easy to understand. I found this site very helpful for beginner. So, in the beginning of my journey of Bible studies translation and understanding of the bible parable has intrigued me a lot. The website is more or less a short library having all the basic information and resources related to Bible. The website has five main sections as: Quick Start Guide, Essential- the Bible, Essentials- Word Searching, Customization, Advanced BLB. The website was started in 1995 with the King James Version, online commentaries, followed by audio sermons along with other versions of Bible. Until 2011, BLB is able to deliver almost 680,000 content pages for public use. The founder of the project is a renowned person Don Stewart, a Pentecostal minister along with a purported faith healer. Along with plethora of blogs and articles, Don Stewart has written 20 books as well. The associations controlled by Don are “Feed my People”, “Miracle life Fellowship International” and Northern Arizona Food Bank.

However, some information on the internet is not accurate or current, and unfortunately, many web sites regarding healthcare offer misleading, incomplete, and incorrect information. Many consumers do not have the knowledge to judge and evaluate the quality of online information. This paper aims to discuss how the website WebMD presents information to readers. It will evaluate WebMD according to its source, where was the source obtained; type of funding, is it commercially funded or private; the validity and quality, how valid is the information and can it be verified; and privacy, is your personal information

The validity of the information on a website is indicated by the reliability of the information sources and developers, as well as the reliability and expertise of the information reviewers ("Evaluating internet health,”). Claims made by the information should be unbiased and based on fact, not opinion.
