Not a lot of people like animals, that is why not everyone has a pet. Some people try to have pets but they somehow fail once they realize they’re not really fit to own one. Most people think that pets are like having children, the only different is that pets don’t need guidance or are not as expensive to raise since they don’t go to school. What most people don’t understand is that these animals need you as much as you need them, just because you’re human, doesn’t mean that you are better than them. It is a fact that you may have more power in terms of speaking or doing other things, but deep inside, animals are just like us. They could feel, especially if their human is sad, happy, excited, in pain, and more. That is why according to a 2001 …show more content…
Teri Wright, a psychologist from Sta. Ana California, pets have a way of making their owners feel secure and important. Being an owner means that you are responsible of your pets, and they bring such positivity to your life.
“Our pets are the kids who never leave home, and that’s absolutely fine by us because these kids don’t ask for the keys to the car, don’t turn up during at two in the morning, and don’t complain if you turn their bedroom into a home gym. Their presence in times of upheaval and transition acts as a touchstone, a reminder of normalcy, of comfort, and the certainty of a love that can get you through.” Nick Trout
Humans benefit from their pets more than they know, the least humans can do is to make their pets feel all the love and affection they deserve. They don’t demand for you to buy them stuff, or make you take them to places around the world. Time, attention, and love is all they need. They may not say it but they will surely make you feel that they are grateful, unfortunately, pets are known to have a shorter lifespan compared to humans, which makes it even more important for humans to value every single moment they have with their
Pets can help children by teaching them empathy. Caring for a pet requires them to think about what the pet wants and needs, which teaches them to think about others the same way. Taking care of a pet also teaches them responsibility, and that certain duties are not an option because someone else is relying on them to do what they are assigned. Owning a pet can raise their self-esteem, therefore they participate in more social and physical activities such as sports, clubs, bands, and other group
Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a pet as “a domesticated animal kept for pleasure rather than a utility.” Dogs have been considered man's best friend for centuries. They have stood side by side through natural disasters, family tragedies, the gift of life, birthdays, and anything else that comes to mind. These furry friends do not judge people for how they look, but show love and compassion to everyone. Dogs help people cope mentally and emotionally, receive sufficient exercise, and create new friendships.
Owning an animal can take up a lot of time. For most people time is of the essence, and spending a lot of time on an animal is unrealistic . Cats are able to live without their owners for days on end. They can usually find something to eat, and pee if plants for example. But dogs need to be put in kennels and looked after by another person. Dogs also have to be put on leashes when they are outside. Cats have the ability to roam freely because their owners do not have to worry about them causing a lot of trouble. A cat is allowed to be outside until late hours because owners know that the feline will make its way home, where as a dog at night is usually brought inside, or chained up outside.
Some people may believe that having a dog doesn't have any benefits because they believe that they are hard to take care of and they are “Just an animal”.Though it is true that dogs can be difficult to take care of and are expensive, they are not “just an animal”. Think about human infants, They are expensive and hard to take care of. They take a lot of preparation and love just like a dog. But we don’t call human babies “Just animals”, do we? No we don’t. Our dogs are our fur babies and they need just as much care as a
Imagine a life with a best friend that never gets mad at people and never talks back. A famous saying you hear dad to day is a dog is the only thing on the earth that loves you more than they love themselves. This is a pretty ideal situation for most people. Studies show that a dog can be more than just a pet. A dog can be a best friend, a listener, and a healer. Animals have influenced humans through out our evolution they have become domestic and we have become reliable on our house pets for many reasons. Dogs assist many different groups of people. They play a major role in child development, heal the sick, and benefit the elderly.
They give you a feeling of purpose which can be crucial when you are feeling down and overwhelmed. By caring for your pet, it allows you to focus on something other than yourself.
Animals are the best thing that can happen to anybody, pets aren’t just some burden in your home making a hole in your wallet. Think of a pet as a child, your child,
Numerous people have pets that accompany them through life. Cats, rabbits, birds, and dogs are popular household pets. They keep their human owners company and quickly become part of the family. Owners refer to them as their "children," and younger kids in the family consider pets to be their "siblings." Immediately, an unbreakable bond is formed between pet and owner. Cuddling with dogs or cats seem to cause stress to disappear. Everything seems to be okay when a dog or cat sits on your lap. There is a lot of love there. Additionally, dogs seem to be the most popular pets, although I do know lovely "cat people." Actress Maggie Lawson, (Psych) knows all about dogs, how they are our best friends, and why we should all love them.
Owning a pet has much more influence on our lives than just that of companionship. According to the Centers for Disease Control (2014), pets can decrease your cholesterol levels, blood pressure, triglyceride levels, and feelings of loneliness. The Centers for Disease Control (2014) also found that pets can increase your opportunities for exercise and outdoor activies, circling back to what they can decrease, and that they can increase your socialization opportunities- increasing your mental health.
Owning and caring for pets is an extremely normal thing for people throughout the world. The love that millions of communities have for animals is huge and it brings a multitude of people together because of their common bond. Many studies have indicated that owning a pet can better the owner’s health, and even lengthen his/her life. Pets can be incredibly helpful for a variety of reasons making people agree that pets bring more enjoyment than dissatisfaction. Owning pets has become a very popular trend for a number of reasons, such as service, protection, and companionship.
Being around a friend like an animal that sometimes teaches us something in life or protects you can make a big difference, those actions can make life sometimes easier than you think when your in tough situations. If you are in stress or if your disabled you are lucky if you have a friend like a service dog which is one of the best things you can have in this world to give you assistance and give you a more enjoyable life. You only have to think a quick second about how much animals have to offer in their lives and how us humans sometimes don’t realize
So, we need to take care of them. Some people thinks that animals are only animals, because they breed a lot easy to duplication, and animals is animals they should not share the same like humans like Burkhard Bilger said “care the addiction to dogs and cats and millions of families might be lifted out of poverty”. In this world we can use money to value anything like life is priceless, animals have feelings too also they are the most loyalty creature on this planet. Especially for an introvert, they prefer to talk to an innocent animal better than a person who is wearing a mask.
Many cases in the news have been covered that includes animals. All animals can be pets if you define them as a pet because in chapter 7 there were talking about how animals that are eaten must be defined as meat. It much more complicated than just finding any animal and eating it because it breaks so many social rules. The pets we consider as pets are usually considered that way because of how they are born and raised. We raise certain pets similar to a babies in that way so it can be close. You can find most of the usual pets at a pet store but pets can be an animals that are bred or trained into being an companion. Also an animal can be considered a pet if it can live in an house and be trained to be suitable in the house. The casual pets
“I think I could turn and live with the animals. They are so placid and self-contained,'; writes American poet Walt Whitman (Schellenberg 1). Yes, pets have been part of human culture throughout history, and in American households, they are more common than children. It is reported that 58% of U.S. households have at least one pet, whereas only 35% have children (Whitaker; Witherell 76). Owners spend billions of dollars each year on pet food, accessories, and veterinary care, but apparently pets give back, too (Schellenberg 1). Medical studies show that pet companionship offers concrete health benefits (Simross 14). While only in the past few decades have scientists become interested in the benefits of pets on human health
Pets can fill a void in an owner’s life, by allowing them to nurture something and receive a sense of satisfaction. Socially pets have become so much a part of our daily lives that they are often treated as if they were children, some lucky pets even attend daily play sessions, and are treated to extreme indulgence; all to make their owner feel as if they were an infant or a child. Blind owners rely on their seeing eye dogs to guide them around wherever they go; they are trained to guide them past and around obstacles. The National Institute of Health states, “More than half of all U.S. households have a companion animal. Pets are more common in households with children, yet there are more pets than children in American households. There are more than 51 million dogs, 56 million cats, 45 million birds, 75 million small mammals and reptiles, and uncounted millions of aquarium fish” (np). Many movie stars and rich and famous people have begun using pets as a status symbol. Millions of dollars are spent finding the perfect and most valuable pet even to the extent that the original breed of animal has become unrecognizable or even extinct. This need for high status and perfection has resulted in safety risks to both pets and the people they live with. Inbreeding and tampering with cross genes in animals often result in an animal of inferior security and emotional stability, thus resulting in an aggressive and violent temperament. In an attempt to
