What Beta Club Means to Me The main point of Beta Club is to give hardworking students a chance to serve their community and further their chances with college. This core purpose represents two of my most important ideas: working hard and helping others. I have always been a firm believer that you should work hard in school, because although it may be dull at times, in the long run, it will be beneficial. This mindset is why I have managed to get as far as I have in school. Working hard throughout school is becoming even more useful as colleges are becoming pickier with who they are letting in as the population is increasing. Not only are colleges becoming more selective, but employers are as well. Today, almost all jobs have multiple people
I have always like studying and helping others. I realized that without education people, I, don´t have a future or an opportunity in life. Joining the Beta Club is a way for me to get experience and knowledge in something that I like to do or something I will like to do. Helping others with an activity that they can´t do by themselves without getting a reward but just the knowledge that you did something good, is a great thing to feel. Aiming towards my goals and dreams is one of my main priorities. Dedicating my time and effort towards it, is letting me become a better student, citizen, and person.
I would like to join Beta Club to further my leadership skills and to work with teenagers my age to help fundraise for the needy. It’s important to help out our community locally. This means both actively helping out at different agencies such as soup kitchens and animal shelters, as well as helping to keep our environment clean. By working together, I think we will all be able to reach our goals and will be able to impact our community. Along the way we will help others and gain valuable life skills.
A shy, young boy enters the doors of high school. For nearly one year, he does not know exactly who he is. He makes pretty good grades and in his sophomore year, he is accepted into the Beta Club. Through this organization he learns the obligation to serve others, open his mind, lead, and help join the movement to change the world for the better. “Let Us Lead By Serving Others” (The National Beta Club). The National Beta Club is composed of nearly half of a million future leaders that come together to lead and serve our communities. We are some of the brightest, intellectual, and intelligent people in the entire nation waiting to unleash our potential and become successful leaders. It is important to focus in on the word potential. Many of us have the potential to invent new things and lead, but unfortunately, we may possess the fear of failure and allow not succeeding
A club that I had always wanted to be apart of since my freshman year of highschool was The Beta Club.
About 60 of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s new members were inducted into the organization in a ceremony on April 1.
Being in an American high school I strive to get the best grades even if that means putting in extra time and effort. My mom has always instilled that education is the key to success and life is only what we make of it, so if you deposit $50 dollars in the bank you are only going to get $50 dollars in return. In order to receive more, you must invest 100% because milestones are always going to be there in the road but work ethic goes towards the success in
Thomas Jefferson wrote, "Determine never to be idle. . . It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing." Do you think you could get far in life without working? Do you feel like you should recieve everything you want exactly when you want it? Some individuals don't have to work, but there are others in the world who know that hard work actually pays off in the end. There's nothing wrong with work, and a lot of people fail to realize that. If you want good things for yourself have to work for them. That's like going to school everyday. Good grades mean a lot because they could get you very far in life, but they just don't come like that. You have to work hard and play even harder. School is where it all starts, and that's where
always maintain school as my top priority and I will always keep in mind that it's not about the
My high school years have been filled with many great memories; it is safe to say that I had an enjoyable high school experience. Some of my most unforgettable moments of my high school career have been in Beta Club. In 9th grade, I joined the Beta Club at my school. I joined because I knew that this club was an organization for those who love to serve others, and I know that decision will have a lasting impact on my life as well as on others’ lives. I was elected President of the Beta Club at my school in 11th grade. I led my club of about 40 members throughout the year as we took part in various service activities such as: trash pickup for Adopt a Highway, sponsoring a child for the holidays, and visiting local elementary schools to read
Growing up in poverty meant always being in a pinch for money. This led me to my decision of seeking a job within the first month of my freshman year in high school. Thankfully, this decision led me to the precious self-taught skill of time management. I was able to build my skills until my sophomore year. I tried to take on more shifts at work than I could handle, in aspiration of saving up for a car, and consequently my grades began to slip. I acquired my first C in my favorite class: Chemistry. Being an aspiring student in the medical field, and a student who prides themselves on their grades, I was devastated. As a result, I soon reached the epiphany that one has to have priorities in life; I chose mine to be education. I discussed with my boss my situation and she gave me a set schedule of a doable 4 days a week. This allowed me to do my homework and studying in advance. This also permitted me to get enough sleep,
If I was given the opportunity to join the Beta club I would be the happiest person in the world! I want to join the Beta club because I would meet new people, I would help a lot of people, and I would be caring and have responsibility. If I was to join the Beta club I would take it very seriously. So that way I can work hard. Before I make my decision on being in the Beta club I would think carefully.
Students spend four years of their lives attending high school. Going through high school is mandatory as it prepares them for college and strength to face “the real world.” Having part-time jobs has become the phenomenon among high school students and many students follow this trend as well. Moreover, there are some pros and cons attached with it. Though it may seem like working throughout high school is a bad idea, it could better prepare students for “the real world.” Although some people believe that the primary duty of a student is studying, I am of the opposite position. I strongly support the idea that high school students should work throughout high school. This is because they can earn money, become responsible and get
Upon reviewing the “Best Strategies for success in school” I realize that I now apply many ideas I use to ignore to my school approach such as getting to know my instructors, breaking down projects into more manageable tasks to avoid procrastination, and staying healthy. All the strategies listed are important but the three key strategies that will remain with me the longest throughout my academic career will be to getting help with difficult class work early, keeping most
Taking required classes and doing the school work is a lot more vigorous than what people imagine. Ideally people, especially new college students, hold the thought of taking the required courses just to get it over with. However, there is no time to ease up on the school work because as time passes, it will only become heavy. As well in movies, students will often find themselves staying up long hours of the night gulping down coffee just to finish or study for further assignments. Other than that, people will soon face the realization that the work will feel like it is
Being a sound part of a community, you should continuously learn more and more about yourself. As a member of a club, taking part in meetings and activities let you learn
