Success is a word that really hard to define, because everyone will have a different definition for this word. In fact, there no exact definition for the word "success". For a student, maybe the success means to pass all courses of the semester; for a business man, signing a importance contract and get a lot of money are successes; and for a president, leading the country to develop and make the people have a better life are success. For me, I also have my own definition for the word "success". When I was a kid, I really want to be a scientist, but after I become mature, my thinking has become more mature and my definition of success also
As humans, we long to be recognized. When what we are doing is ignored or looked over, it is difficult to find the will power to keep going. Without the Holy Spirit’s daily guidance, it is easy to lose passion for doing what is right.
The Holy Spirit, as a member of the Trinity, has eternally existed and worked with the Father and the Son to bring about the plan for our salvation (CCC 686). In a similar vein, the Holy Spirit, along with the Word of God, “are at the origin of the being and life of every creature” (CCC 703). The Holy Spirit is present with humanity from the beginning of time and the beginning of our individual lives, for as the Gospel writer John says, “he abides with you, and he will be in you” (John 14:17).
The Holy Spirit comforts: John 14:16, And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Helps us in our Weakness. The Holy Spirit intercedes: Romans 8:26, in the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans. The Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God: 1 Corinthians 2:11, The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit sanctifies: Romans 15:16, to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Bears witness or testifies: Romans 8:16, The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
The Holy Spirit has many functions. He is involved at every point of development in a Christian 's walk with God. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin. The Holy Spirit bears witness of your salvation.
When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, He will guide and lead us into all truth to do all that Jesus has said to us to do, purifying our mind, body, soul and spirit by the washing of His word.
The Holy Spirit also brings conviction to the believer about sin, which brings Christians to repentance and right standing in the eyes of God. Without the Holy Spirit, people are not saved, but with this Spirit our bodies become a dwelling place of the Lord. The Holy Spirit is also a teacher, and with the Spirit people can rightfully understand the concept of truth and what truth entails, especially
This information helps us differentiate between other contexts where this word is used as well and gives us an idea as to what type of role the Spirit plays within a Christian’s life. Since we see the role that the Sprit plays within one’s life, it is a necessity emphasize the importance of our awareness of the Spirit. Considering the Triune aspect of God, we can come to the realization that
The gifts of the Spirit are specific supernatural abilities that are distributed among those who make up the earthly body of Christ, in order that every member can benefit from all of those gifts as needed. "There are varieties of effects, but the same God produces each of them in each person, and so each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good." (I Cor. 12:6-7) Spiritual formation simply cannot go forward as it is intended by God unless I am incorporated in a body of believers where they can receive the benefit of the gifts which others have. I am not involved as much as I would like to in the church we attend. Spirit help me to be more involved with my brothers and sisters so that I may be an edification for the church.
Moreover, an understanding of the various roles of the Godhead also provides comfort as we serve God in our individual lives. For example, knowing that the Spirit is our permanent, always-present guide and comforter is a tremendous encouragement. A proper view of the Trinity is also critical as we share the Gospel with others: because the doctrine of the Trinity informs our worship, we must be able to articulate this doctrine to others so that they can rightly relate to and worship our triune
For many individuals, there is comfort in knowing that a divine presence is at hand for them and sought by them. This can benefit to abate the requirement to be governed by whatsoever but the faith in this divine presence and not individual people, in order to bring a sense of security and solace in order to face day to day trials and major adversities of life. Many people who know this divine presence are peaceful, content, calm, collected, and take the time to make decisions that often turn out to be the best alternatives for themselves in the long term.
Reflect on the person and ministry of Holy Spirit in your theological and your personal experience of the presence of the Spirit in your life.
The Holy Spirit plays a very vital role in the lives of each and every believer; He can strengthen us with a strength that we cannot even begin to muster up in ourselves. He can bring us joy that we cannot even begin to find in the things of this world. He can bring peace to our lives more than anything that we can ever find on this earth. “The Holy Spirit which is primarily an energizing process, is also a revealing, refining, consuming, illuminating process, and one by which we are made to glow with love to God, and love to man, and love to souls.”
Conversely, my belief is the Holy Spirit enables Christians to have the power to live a holy life.
