What I Have Learned About Research

A case study is defined as “a report of case materials obtained while working with an individual, a group, a community, or an organization. Case Studies illustrate a problem; indicate a means for solving a problem; and/or shed light on needed research, clinical applications, or theoretical materials” (APA, 2010, p. 11). The goal of this paper is for me to conduct a case study on myself and explain what I have learned about research at an introductory level, and how I evaluate or critique it from a biblical, Christian perspective.

Research can be used in many methods, for example: questionnaires, television, leaflets, books etc. it allows us to keep up to date on the new findings or discoveries e.g. a new type of cancer or a new vaccination. Research is the investigation into

WHAT IS RESEARCH? It is a planned process whereby information is collected for a specific purpose, analysed and reported.

According to Depoy and Gittin, research is a way individuals think about problems in systematic way. Research is generally described as description, exploration, analysis, prediction and problem solving. There are different types of research and these researches are called the experiments, quasi-experiments and non-experiments. The purpose of research is to provide the insight to practice, it also enhance individuals understanding as well as developing new approaches with different topics, get to test your research for effectiveness. Understanding research is important because it helps to build individuals knowledge bases and informs decision making in practice. Research also enable us to make sure that our practice are up to date with relevant information.

Psychologists look for explanations for human behaviour; they reach conclusions through research processes which attempt to explain or even predict said behaviour. Researchers strive to obtain facts

Madeline’s debt payments-to-income ratio with the college loan is 31.85 percent; without the college loan it is 14.07 percent. According to the 20 percent rule, she cannot afford the college loan. However, after Madeline pays off her credit card debts, her debt payments-to-income ratio with the college loan will be 17.5 percent. My initial thoughts towards behavioral research did not encompass a complete understanding of its significance. Thus, there was a feeling of ambiguity towards its relevance, especially in the scope of everyday life. However, after reading Chapters 1 and 2 of Methods in Behavioral Research, the necessity for behavioral research became more defined. Specifically, the findings accumulated through research can be applied in various aspects of life, such as aiding mental health professionals in patient care decisions, developing educational programs, and influencing Supreme Court decisions (Cozby & Bates, 2012).

Throughout this course I have learned many things about research at an introductory level. Research is a critical part of all of our lives in many ways. God blesses each of us with a degree of common sense and we all learn from observing others even as babies, we learned behaviors and skills by observing our parents. Walking through experiences throughout life teach us a lot we need to know as well but sometimes we have to take a better approach when we need to learn about certain things. Many of us know that what works in some situations or with certain individuals doesn’t always work or is the safest option for another situation. Controlled and precisely organized study allows scientists to compare and examine contrasting methods and concepts, also helps them to discover various approaches and be able to learn from individual’s behaviors and experiences. I will act as the case study throughout this paper in order to observe what I have learned about.

What I have learned about research at an introductory level is that research is finding out about things we do not

I believe that we are naturally good and bad with good reasons.The first reason i believe that we are naturally good is because if didn't have technology or anything like that and no weapons i strongly believe that we would have always been good naturally.And i believe this because we would have no reason to hate each other.And reasons why i think we are naturally bad is because we all our lifes have been having wars,fights and that leads up to hatred and madness.So we have always been naturally bad by sometimes wishing a person to die or murder anything like that involves us being naturally bad.So i strongly believe that we were both naturally Bad and Good.But without good or bad we would not have balance i believe that good and bad balances

I believe in good spirits. I had some bad vibes like tests that I couldn’t pass them. I was stuck, but then my Mom helped me studied. Always ask your parents to help. Frankly, it wasn’t easy, that is why I study during a little bit of class time and the time when students are getting to their next classes. It was a lot easier and I got the hang of what I’m doing in school.

Psychological research may be undertaken on a subset of society; however the importance of the results may have an effect way beyond the group tested. The value of psychological research varies and the same results can be used in different ways by different groups of society.

Research is a form of systematic inquiry. It sets out to answer questions through assessing, summarizing and drawing conclusions from what are often very large amounts of information.
