What is Meaningful?

The meaning of life. It’s one of the big questions in philosophy, one of the big questions about human existence. A big part of the Christians or at least to (Page,2015) Page is to believes “the meaning of life is to fulfill God’s will, live our lives, have a career, make a family, have fun, and then die at the time God appointed for us to die.” (Page, Pg. 1) To some atheist, their belief is that there’s no meaning to life. They believe in evolution, to survive and reproduce. That we’re just a tiny spec of this huge universe. “It is more important to find what makes this life precious and worth living, rather than hoping that the “next one” will be better.”(AFA).

Since everything in creation came from this God, it too would automatically have meaning and purpose.
God’s own individual purpose or meaning is unknown to us, except some people believe that God creates us, loves us, and wants to fellowship with us in eternity. He is the only supreme God, and He has always existed. In the beginning, God is the only thing that existed. If God has meaning, we can assume the environment around us have meaning. If God has a plan, then we can assume everything else that has come into existence has a purpose in that plan. God is sovereign.
The meaning of life is similar to a person building something. If a person collects wood, buy tools, and then proceed to hammer the wood together, we can assume that the creation is going to be there for a reason. He or she may be building a house, or a storage building, etc. But none of us would suggest that the man is building it for nothing. Any reasonable person would logically conclude that the man has a purpose for his creation. It was created with purpose in mind.
Going back to the introduction, Atheist say that there isn’t a meaning to life. You’re just a tiny grain of sand compared to the universe that we live in. Relaying on evolution to be able to keep surviving and reproducing, to continue to live. If God does not exist,
All of creation is about Jesus. He is the reason all of creation exists. We were created by Him and for Him. Our purpose is to worship Him, become like Him, tell others about Him, and love and serve others like he would.
God has a unique purpose for each and every one of us. Sometimes life gets so busy that we forget what our purpose is in life, but God has a way of guiding
Just like how mortals have their own goals, deities also have an agenda. God, in the Hebrew Bible, has only two goals: to have humans obey Him blindly and to
God created each of us to be a part of His story as well as create our own. As Eldredge uses G.K. Chesterton to say,“I had always felt life first as a story - and if there is a story there is a story teller,” In essence, God is the story teller, shaping and creating
God created all of us and everything for His own good and loving purpose. Because of this all of us dream of what life and love should look like. God is the Creator and He started everything, both material and spiritual. He has always existed apart from everything He created, while at the same time acting in love for the good of everything He has created.
I agree with Simon, that life does have a purpose and that God is real and He has a plan for all of us. The people that don’t have this faith usually say things like, “There is no proof! Why should you believe?” But can they not see that the entire world around them is proof? You, me, the trees, the ocean, the sky, everything! What other explanation is there? Surely they don’t think that all of a sudden everything appeared, in a quote-unquote ‘big bang’?
Many theologians have different beliefs of who god is and why he exists. But the most common answer you will receive is, “God exists because he has to exist.” They would argue that without God, nothing would exist, no us, no earth, no galaxy, no universe, nothing. Because how could anything besides God create such a perfect world. How could anything but a perfect being itself create something so perfect. And it
Since the dawn of human life, people have eternally been searching for the purpose of existence. Humans are innately curious beings, and are blessed to have the capabilities of higher thought processes. Humans use these thought processes to ponder the question of existence. Unfortunately, the evolution of man has not brought the human race any closer to actualizing its purpose on earth. In fact, this issue is such that the more one feels he or she understands it, the more questions concerning it arise. This problem perpetuates itself by the confusion of religion and spirituality, and the roles they hold in society. As the human race evolves, it feels the need to designate structure to its world. As
The fact is, our whole lives just consist of us doing a lot about nothing. Because what’s the point? Some say that we’re meant to live a, “happy and healthy life,” or that “we’re here to spread joy to others.” I’m not saying I’m against that, I’m just saying that it’s impossible to find a certain statement proving either of those. Life’s purpose is up to interpretation. And, personally, I have interpreted that there is no point at all.
God is identified as the creator and the one we look to in ministry. Before the beginning of time, he was here. He created us and He knew our names even before the earth was started. The one who put His plan of creation, fall, redemption, and new creation into place. He created the heavens and the earth, all creatures, and us. God knew Adam and Eve, the first people He made, would give in to temptation. Eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, made creation fall into sin and darkness. He knew that through sending His son Jesus Christ, all of creation would be saved through Him. Then He would proceed to make His new creation.
The end of Ecclesiastes says that in the end all that matters is to ‘fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, English Standard Version [ESV]). The whole world is searching for meaning to life yet it is summed up here at the end of Ecclesiastes, which informs our view of meaning in life as well. In this life, God determines meaning for me, and in this life there are things such as family friends and the Bible that are more meaningful than others.
What is the meaning of life? Almost every human at some point in their life would question themselves about their purpose in the world and why they were placed in the setting they are in and what they feel the need to accomplish in their lifetime. Some create their own personal meaning, others are given their meaning with no insight and lastly, others choose to avoid the real world and create a fantasy life. Although the definition is different from person to person, what is significant in the meaning of life is not only to exist in the world but to achieve our desired goals, have faith on our decisions, and learn about something new.
During the event of creation we see that God is the creator of all things and the Lord of all things. We are to give Him praise for His creation of the world and human beings (Revelation 4:11). He created His Son as a visible image of Him who is the invisible image. He created the heavens and the earth, and shows his authority over evil on earth. He does not stop evil, but He clears a path for us to avoid and get away from evil. He sent His Son to reconcile us back to God (Colossians 1:16-20). This passage shows that God is the creator of all things and has power over everything that has been created. He created everything from nothing that is visible. Christ sustains the world and without Him there would be complete chaos.
It can be argued that god did create humanity for a purpose, as why would he endow us with sense, reason and intellect if he intended us to forgo their use? It therefore logically follows that we must have some purpose, hidden or not that we are expected to fulfil, also why would the bible detail the creation of humans in such detail as is demonstrated in genesis 2, why would god, in this story, prioritise mankind over all others when the purpose if said entities is made apparent as animals are made to feed man, so if god endeavoured to assign a purpose to those supposedly subservient to mankind, why would he not give a purpose for mankind to fulfil, why also, according to the
God created the world for us. It is where mankind exists. Without God, there is no “us”. From the time we wake up to the time we sleep, everything we see is created by our loving God. God created the world because he wants to share his life to others.
