Defining: Trust in God I am a person who has trust in God; which means I trust him for whatever plan he has set for me. Trusting God can be difficult, but it is essential for living the worry-free life God wants us to live. Most people forget to trust God in hardships, or they laugh at the people who tell them to trust in the Lord because it seems impractical to trust someone you can’t see. Trusting God is more than just thinking you trust him; you should also say it out loud. Praying is one of the key ways I tell God I trust him. When I go through hardships, I pray to God and say “Lord, I do not understand why this is happening, but I trust you and I pray that I will never lose my trust in you.” Being a Christian, it is highly important that you tell God you trust him. People think that trusting God means you only trust him during the hard times. That’s 100% not true. Trusting God really means you trust him in all aspects of your life. The good parts, the bad parts, and the parts you don’t understand. Forming a bond of trust …show more content…
Maybe if you were to make that team or be in a relationship with that person, it would cause you more pain than God wants you to have to deal with. God never gives you more than you can handle. Every time someone doesn’t make a team I always tell them to trust God’s plan. Every time someone thinks their love life is finally turning around and it ends up ending tragically, I tell them to trust God’s plan. God knows what is best for us, I mean, he made us. He knows what you are struggling with right now and he knows what is ahead for you. God is with us every day, every night, and in every way. He already has the date marked on the calendar for when our blessings are coming. We, as sinful humans, living in this world full of sin, just have to trust
To me trust is being able to count on someone during good times and during bad times.
Faith in Christ has given me a unique life filled with optimism and purpose. From a young age, I have been raised in a home where I was taught about the love of Christ. Not only at home did I learn about Christ, but at school and at church. Thus, my life has been filled with experiences that have amplified my faith. For example, when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, I found that my relationship with Christ grew. Through all of the difficult circumstances that I have faced, faith in Christ has given me the encouragement that I need to persevere through any situation. Additionally, faith has influenced my decision making, which is why I strive to make all my decisions and live my life according to faith-based principles. This means
Trust is an incredible trait to have. Some may say that without trust the world wouldn’t go around. But what exactly is trust? Merriam-Webster defines trust as “ one in which confidence is placed”(“Trust”). Confidence is a whole big impact that goes along with the feeling of trust. Being a trustworthy person means that people can rely on you for things. Trust can lead to a lot of danger also. If trust is broken, There can be a lot of lack of communication because someone might not trust you with some things. Trust might not come as just vocally trust. When you are asked to do something a certain way, you are trusted you will get it done in that way. Trust is a very important thing in everyday life.
God is very often a convenient outlet for the pain that is inflicted upon us. With this in mind, it is a decision whether to allow the trails to build barriers in your relationship with God or place your burdens on Him and rely in His love. I unquestionably know that suffering makes people closer to God, however the choice with how one deals with the hurt is up to you. So, will you choose to trust God, or accuse God? // Romans 8:28 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”// “Don’t hang on to old hurts. You can spend your years blaming God, blaming other people. But in the end it was a choice.” Jenny B.
Even when things are going badly in my life, my constant drive pushes me towards God, questioning why things are happening and looking to God to show me the way, granting me patience and guidance through an incredibly hard time. Thus, even in times of darkness, my relationship with God is strengthened. Furthermore, the mystery of faith excites me and I can use this to strengthen my spirituality with God by thinking about him.
Through it all, Round has been able to rely on God as a source of comfort and support through trying times.
We define trust as a certain belief and a sense of assurance that is based on strong but not logically-conclusive evidence, or based on some ones character, their ability, or truth that someone or something has shown over a period of time or over experiences (Cambridge, 2015). Trust makes for a sense of being safe or of being free of fear, enough so that one 's focus can be on
I have to admit that my undaunted convictions as a Christian on issues such as gay rights, the right to die, abortion, and many others have been steadfast, that is until now. With all that I’ve said, and all that I’ve done, the question of whether I truly trust God has become “the” issue. To quote a question that was asked in a discussion many, many years back; “Does having a gun denote I have NO trust that God will protect me?”
I totally agree with Laura Whitehead that God knows what we can handle when we experience adversity. It will not be easy, but we can try it. When we trust God, he will
Proverbs 3:5 says “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding". This verse prompts me to stay humble and trust that he has a plan for me. Trusting that he will provide me with the guidance I need to make
In many historical events our world has turned to God through prayer. After the tragic event of 9/11 George Bush placed a memorial service worldwide on television to pray for the lives lost in this tragic event. Also during the Cold War “In God We Trust” became the motto of our country. When Apollo 13 became unknown in space the President at the time asked the nation to come together and pray for this event. These are only a few main events that we see today. This country was founded around God but we also turned to him for many other things.
a) Christians believe many different things about God’s nature; due to the huge spectrum of Christians that there are. However, as a general rule they perceive God as being one of the following four things:
I enjoyed your post about King Ahaz and his son King Hezekiah. Trusting in God is such an important part in our lives today just as it was during their reigns. Hill and Walton (1991) state that “in a time of fear and political uncertainty, in contrast to his father, Ahaz, Hezekiah trusted the Lord for deliverance” (p. 523). Trust is the major difference between the reigns of King Ahaz and his son King Hezekiah. Hezekiah knew that no matter what they were facing God was in control. This concept is difficult to grasp for most of us. As humans, we want to do things our way, not seeing the bigger picture of God’s plan for us. When times get tough trusting God can seem foreign to us. Scripture states in Proverbs 3:5 to “trust in the Lord
What is faith? Faith is something different to everyone. If you asked a hundred different people, it is possible that you would get many diverse answers. Religious faith and non-religious faith are two very distinct terms. Faith holds an extremely complex meaning when discussing it in the context of religion. Faith is a belief. That holds true to every religious and non-religious person. Every faith involves a decision. It is not about what we claim to believe, but what we actually do believe, that is true faith. Throughout this paper, I am going to discuss Christian faith, how it pertains to daily life and Christianity as a whole. I also intend to delve into George W. Forell's discussion of Christian faith and analyze and
Trust is a value that was very hard for me to learn. I was always afraid that someone was going to hurt me one way or another. My mother was always telling me that I should learn to trust others so that they could help me from time to time, but I never could do it. Eventually I finally learned to trust others a few years ago. I have realized that other people can do many things for you if you just trust in them. This helps me in the relationships I have with my friends. Trust doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time. I have learned that trusting certain people is worth the risk, and helps the relationships I have with them.
