I believe that good things come to those who work hard. I believe there is much more value in giving than there is in receiving. I believe what makes a person more inclined to give a gift to a person is the feeling of gratitude they will be able to experience after. Because I am a grateful, hardworking person, I believe I should receive the $25,000 gift so I could use it to help others. Our American society has become increasingly self-centered over the past several decades. I always hear older people talk about how much “times have changed,” and, through observation, I believe this to be true. With recent advancements in technology, people are less engaged in day to day life and are more wrapped up in the tiny hand-held screens that control our world. We have started centering all of our decisions around what is best for ourselves. It does not come naturally, but I try to think of others more than myself. I feel so uplifted to see others succeeding in their endeavors, and if I, in any way, had a hand in helping them succeed, I feel that I have also succeeded. I firmly believe I am the best candidate to receive the $25,000. I am incredibly blessed, and I know that I have done nothing to deserve this prize. If I am chosen, I will look to help others instead of myself. I wish to buy my dad a new-to-him car, buy my mom clothes, donate to charity, and treat my siblings. By giving me the $25,000, I will not only be blessed, but others will also
Technology is becoming detrimental to our abilities to communicate, and empathize with each other. In these days Individuals rarely have a reason to communicate with one another face to face, because they usually communicate over texts or emails. This is a problem because the younger generations lack the empathy that you can only gain through conversation with others. A lack of empathy will eventually erode a person’s feelings of connection with society and they will become a self-made outcast, disconnected from society because people are too difficult to empathize with. This Paper will attempt to counteract the detrimental effects of technology on society.
I am highly confident that I deserve the MoolahSPOT scholarship because I am hard working. I am a highschool cheerleader and I work extremely hard to come up with a variety of ideas to lead people to cheer. I am very positive, I like to help children and young adults incorporate new cheer, exercise, and chant to our daily life in general.
I would also enjoy using the money to travel to a foreign country and learn about their culture and volunteer there. I am also excited to learn of other opportunities that haven’t explored yet.
I don't know if I deserve to win anything, however I do know that I need to try. My life has not been easy, from being abused by my parents to going into foster care, than going back home to be verbally abused even further. Only about 3% of foster kids, or kids who have been in foster care, will graduate from college and even though that is just a statistic I don't want to be that 97% that gives up. I have already beat the 50% who graduate from high school, I just got done and will be getting a diploma. Now I want to go even further and be one of the 3% who graduate from college, and then help other foster kids be that 3% and one day have it 5% that finish college, but that is just a dream and to make that dream come true I need help getting

The definition of giving is to present voluntarily and without expecting compensation; bestow. There is something powerful in giving, and there is something powerful in receiving. We can’t have giving without receiving. We can’t have receiving without giving. They both require each other.
Woohoo! I won a cash prize from the lottery, hmm, but I have to donate half to a good cause. I will donate half to the SPCA. An organization that is dedicated to saving abandoned animals, dogs in particular. I would donate half of this money to the SPCA because…
The first thing I am going to do is unselfishly pay 50,000 dollars off my parent’s house and our cars. I am choosing to pay part of their debt because they have sacrificed so much for my siblings
First, I would find the cure for cancer and other non-curable diseases like diabetes. My mom and grandma both have diabetes. If they did not, then we could all do more things together. Money has always been a problem with my family. In addition, if they did not have to pay for all their medication cause of the problems
As a participant of this contest, I believe I deserve to receive the 4-year Florida College
You have not lived a fulfilling life until you have done something for someone who needs your help. In our community there are so many people in need, and many people don’t realize how many people in need they’re and what you can do to help them. In this case, what I would do to help with humanitarian efforts in our community would be to volunteer at the Bethany House, organize a food drive, and have a clothing and toy drive.
| 1. Be the best supportive and loving family member to all of my families and relatives. 2. Always be on the side of my friends, trusting them. 3. Have Danny's back with his problems. Cheer him up even when I wasn't very much interested.
I believe I should be awarded one of your scholarships because I believe in taking advantage of every opportunity that the scholarship will bestow upon me. I am a student that believes in working hard, being a positive influence, and giving back to the community. Your organization and I share these core values and I would like to take our vision further by using this scholarship to advance my education as well as an opportunity to improve the lives of those around me. As an immigrant from Nepal, I have had to work hard my whole life just to survive in America. Working multiple jobs while attending school is a tough challenge that I face but I believe that if one works hard their dreams can come true. Many people from my community give up
