While you are reading this research paper think to yourself, who killed JonBenet Ramsey and why did they kill her? I read a bunch of articles and asked myself who has the most evidence against them, what their motive would be to kill JonBenet, and how would they have killed her and with what. John, Patsy, and an unknown male murdered JonBenet Ramsey. Now I am going to give you some background on this subject. The police officers had a lot of suspects and a lot of evidence and the evidence pointed to a lot of people, but then there was evidence that pointed to someone else. The crime scene was not sealed off like it should have been to preserve the evidence. The room in the basement that John found JonBenet in was checked twice by police …show more content…
Ramsey's hired a former FBI agent named John Douglas to examiner the case .John had a theory that the note was written before the murder. This person was inexperienced young predator, this person also borrowed lines from a few movies. “ John Douglas, a former head of the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit hired by the Ramseys to examine the case, theorized the note was written before the murder by an inexperienced, young perpetrator who borrowed lines from the movies Ransom ("she dies") and Speed ("Don't try to grow a brain").”, this is a line from the article “ 20-Year Murder Mystery Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey “ (2016) Michael Baden has 60 years of experience and he thought that this ransom note was strange or unusual . Like the length of the ransom note it was really long so it would have took time to write it. Asking for $118,000 is a very specific amount and the other weird part is that not very many people knew that John Ramsey had got this exact same amount for a bonus. “ And Michael Baden, a board certified forensic pathologist with both former District Attorney Alex Hunter as well as Ramsey supporter Lou Smitt regarding the JonBenet case says, The whole ransom note is, in my experience of 60 years, not a usual ransom note. I don't think it was written by an outside stranger. And more so than the writing itself is how it was done: the pen, the paper, the length of time it took to do it without being discovered. Then there is the extremely unusual ransom request for $118,000: Only a very few people knew John Ramsey had [just] gotten a $118,000 bonus." (Bane, 2016). This was also in the same article previously mentioned. Suzanne the former nanny told Boulder Police that you would have to know the house real well to know exactly how to find the room JonBenet's body was found in. In the book “ JonBenet: Inside the Ramsey Murder Investigation ”, on page 50 reads, “ The former
especially John and Patsy Ramsey. It was obvious to me that they were involved but the
On the murder night of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, was a massive outburst on the media. As stated (Turvey December 1995) both bodies were found at 12:10Am, June 13 1994 inside of Nicole’s house located at 875 South Bundy reported by witnesses seeing a river of blood. As we get closer to the murder care of both Nicole and Ron many unanswered question starts to pile up, from who could had possibly had done this to why they ever did this.
There were many mistakes that was done in the Jonbenet case. They did a poor job into protecting the crime scene. The first responder even asked john and the neighbor to look all over the house for anything unusual. That is something you are not supposed to do, them looking around the house led to the body of Jonbenet and destroyed evidence. Former Boulder police chief, Mark Beckner, said that first off the police officers should have shut down the crime scene immediately and taken statements from JonBenet's parents. Since the crime occurred on Christmas Day, Beckner said that there were less people available to get to the scene. It took a long time after the murder, before police managed to conduct interviews with the Ramsey's, who had by
It has been almost 21 years since the murder of a little six-year-old girl by the name of JonBenet Ramsey of Boulder Colorado. Her parents were John and Patsy Ramsey. The question remains til this day “Who killed JonBenet?”
The ransom note comes into play here. In my previous complete section, I discussed the fact that there were no reported finger prints located on the ransom note when it was examined. The murderer would have to have been planning on doing said act for quite some time in order to leave no evidence behind.
What was believed to be a kidnapping of 6-year-old, JonBenet Ramsey, ended up to be the discovery of her dead body by her father in the basement, after multiple hours of searching in Ramsey's house (Saferstein, 2015.) A major issue with the case was that the house was not sealed off, and multiple people, including their pastor, were able to go to and from with no complications (Saferstein, 2015.) In defense of the police team, in the beginning, they had believed it to be a kidnapping with a note and all, and in the end, it turned out to be a murder. Of course the media's eyes immediately turned to the parents but one of the theories is, "The current theory stands that an intruder, with possible paedophilic motives, was responsible for her death, and while this has become a widely accepted working theory, there are several pieces of evidence that simply don’t add up" (Team, 2016.) The ransom note was 2 and a half pages long, her body was found in the basement of the families home, the cause of death showed strangulation and a blow to the head an hour or so before, and also pineapple that she had eaten recently with a bowl that led to her brother's fingerprints were all clues that didn't add up (Team, 2016.)
Throughout this case, many pieces of evidence came up “missing” and many other people who should have been suspects went without being questioned at all. For example, a problem arose at a local Bojangles, the same night of the murders. The manager working at the time called the police, reporting that a black man had stumbled into the restaurant. He was bleeding and mumbling the manger said, and instead of a report being filed, the working officer found it would be much more convenient for her if she just
At nine AM a monday morning, John Lee was discovered dead in the CCA Lab Prep room by Professor Allan. What makes John Lees death even more surprising is that no fingerprints were found, but luckily fiber and biological evidence was found at the crime scene. Other than the fiber and the biological evidence that were found at the crime scene, the license and registration information of the vehicles that were at the CCA campus the night of the murder where determined. At the moment there were five suspects, that could have been the murders of John. These suspects include Brandy Smith, Sergio Jones, Bill Apple, Ann Smith, and Amanda Martinez. Brandy Smith alibis would be the Harkin employee that remembers seeing Brandy crying at the end of the
How could she be kidnapped or abducted when she was never removed from her residence? Why did they not test the ransom note for DNA and fingerprints? JonBenet was killed in her own home. JonBenet’s body was discovered and killed too quick before the ransom note requesting $118, 000. could even have time to be paid out. The ransom request was the same, identical amount, to the exact penny, of the father, John Ramsey’s bonus from his job, which is highly unusual, even for a coincidence. JonBenet was found dead in the basement. How could anyone enter their basement without breaking in? There was no sign of forced entry from either the house or the basement. The father discovered her body was already deceased, especially with the amount of blood at the scene, then, why did he tamper with evidence by removing her body, which is against the law? Why was he not charged with obstruction of justice for removing her body from the murder scene? The DNA that was found on the male suspect, was it matched up against dental
The Ramsey family has always been big suspects. The death of JonBenet Ramsey has confused the world and remains unsolved.
Jonbenet Ramsey was bashed or hit in the head with a flashlight, asphyxiated with a garrote, and sexually assaulted. It was almost impossible for someone to go through the window without destructing or disturbing the spider’s web in the bottom left corner of the window. There was no sign of intrusion or an outside break into the Ramseys house. If it was an outside intrusion, there would’ve been access to the house and Jonbenet would have had to know the person doing so. The murder scene looked to be staged or looked to be deceiving.
JonBenét Ramsey was murdered in October of 1996. For the last fifteen years police have tried to solve the case, but have had little success. As such, the suspect remains at-large. Due to the high profile of the case it has received national attention. Many people kept track of findings through the news, social media, and with the publishing of books and film. Speculation about the case still remains a popular topic in various genres for the public and other interested parties. The way the case was handled by authorities, the high profile of the Ramsey family, and the lack of cooperation in the form of initial formal interviews by the Ramsey family, all contributed to the lack of progress and the unsuccessful solving of the case.
